Donair Dude

Tried for the first time recently. Some good stuff. Good value and it's tasty. I will go back regularly.

If you order the BOGO deals off Uber Eats, they will simply give you half of the ingredients to save on costs. You will end up eating 2 donairs that are empty inside. This trick they are pulling is quite insulting. If all donairs are prepared like this, that is even worse because it shows that they skimp out on ingredients no matter what. Hummas also gave me food poisoning for a couple of days.

Place has gone a bit downhill. Handling practices are not what they used to be. Borders on unhygienic and disrespectful to the customer. You don’t go from working a cash register or cleaning the facility to making an order. Quality has gone down while prices have gone up. $1.49 for some okay cheese is ridiculous. $16 for a donair? Nope. And no one wants bad cabbage, bring back the lettuce.

Quality and low-cost Mediterranean food. I liked it so much I ordered for one month straight.

The food is awesome, It taste like Something hand picked from Heaven. I really love the Kofte Kabab at this restaurant

beside the Food, the staff and the manager himself who is always there for customers have made the experience more than just a simple lunch break for me. He is the kindest and most Professional person.

Just encourage everyone to give this restaurant a try, I will become one of your favorites and you gonna thank me then

These guys are great. Hard working staff and always 100% customer service. Great and exactly what you should expect from a donair.

This is the best donair in all the lower mainland! I got the chicken rice platter, would highly recommend!

Awesome delicious food, made to order! The service is excellent! Staff are friendly and kind. We are going to be regulars whenever we travel to North Van.

If I could leave zero stars, I would.
I am a vegetarian.
I ordered poutine (vegie gravy).
I ended up chewing on a dark, gristly piece of meat.
I called them to inform so they would be more careful, and started with a compliment to them on the hummus - it was good.
I then informed that I had just spat out a gristly and charred piece of meat.
He asked for a pic, which I sent.
He basically informed me that my taste buds are wrong, it’s a French fry.
I informed him that I ate meat as a child and that I know the difference between a French fry and meat.
He got increasingly defensive and rude… I simply hung up the phone.
He was not worth my energy.

Lots of awesome places up and down Lonsdale that have good poutine… I hope people seek them out more often.

Had this twice now and I can see this becoming a habit.

Falafel pita with everything inside. No cheese. This ensures the Pita is vegan. You can choose normal Hummus or spicy Hummus. The spice level is low.
There are two sauces for Vegans. Tahini sauce and extra chilli sauce.

It's a delicious lunchtime meal that's well-balanced and healthy for you. Highly recommend for a vegan.

I ordered Grilled donairs and Rice platters. The rice platters was so good. Lamb donair was a bit salty for me but still was good.

This place has gone downhill over the last few years, this is the final straw for me.

The price of a donair with cheese is almost $15 now, this would be acceptable if it was actually good, this is now on par with subway or worse.

Theres no lettuce anymore, all the vegetables have gone down in quality significantly.

The workers and/or franchise owners do not weigh the meat for consistent portions, there was about two slices of lamb in mine tonight- the meat is also dry as a bone the past few times.

I used to marvel at the size of the donairs at Donair Dude, it was almost like a football it was so loaded, now it is more similar to a panini.

I have lost the love for this place and will not return again.

If you need a good donair on the north shore, go to donair plus down the street, or yummy donair on marine. This place is awful.

We are in neighborhood and visit them occasionally. In falafel wrap there used to be 4 falafel patties before, then they made it 3 and now they have made it 2!

Dissatisfied today. Meat tasted dried out and overcooked or it was left out too long. It’s a shame because I usually like this place.

Honestly everything from donair dude is delicious. Highly recommend the pepper poppers with garlic dip.

One of my favourite place in town. Ordered chicken pita with fries. Fries were well crispy. They are the best.

I am new in the town and just explored this amazing place. Their food and the customer service was exceptional. Coming and spending here was worth the price. Highly recommend this place!

This place was kinda dirty. The person at the till sneezed and didn't wash their hands before dealing with the food. The food itself is also not impressive and the pitas are not filled properly so the contents are unbalanced. Service was well below enjoyable. Can't say I'll be back here.

This is a 3rd time I bought chicken donair wrap and chicken donair salad there was full chicken‘s skin and fatty part of chicken it was disgusting and once it was burnt, i wish i could get zero star.

It was my first time in this location, Aki take care of my order and I can tell it was the best Donair dude taste ever, for me. Chicken was not dry and I feel the taste of juicy chicken each bite. I highly recommend this place. Thanks all the staff

I don’t know why I keep giving this place a chance, it is the worst Donair Dude and appears to be ran by children. I don’t think I have seen anyone over the age of 16 working here. They are always out of something if not multiple things, but of course you don’t learn that until after you pay. I got my Donair tonight, the lettuce was brown and my Donair was tasteless. How can a Donair be tasteless? !? ! I got the garlic sauce! I’m actually surprised this place is still open considering the poor quality and the fact that there are way better Donair shops on the north shore. Ugh. It’s probably because of people like me who never learn or think they’ve must have gotten better. Hot tip: They haven’t.

Love this place usually go every couple of weeks. I usually get a donair and falafel. It’s always good. This week they burnt the falafel and I asked for new ones and this is what I got.

Legit the best rice bowl I’ve ever had in my life. And too boot their portions are phenomenal! Thank you Donair dude for the experience of real fresh delicious food. I will be back!

Vietnamese girl doesn't wash her hands with soap all the time and appears to hate her job, people, or both. Food is good, portion size is good, depending on the day. Very inconsistent service.

Greatest Donairs in North Vancouver! Great staff who are happy to see you when you arrive in the store! Delicious food!

The Donair rice bowls with pineapple and spicy mayo is on point. Great portions. Amazing grilled donairs. Been a loyal fan since they started out with their first shop on Davie street over a decade ago. I like the reinventing of the wheel they bring forth. Always quick and friendly service. Tony does a fantastic job every single time I'm there.

This place used to be a 5 star joint all day. Things have not been quite so good lately. Service and potion sizes are still great, but the food quality is slipping.

Ordered on Skip North Vancouver, not chincey on anything, lotsa lamb & toppings. Just delicious as usual!

I ordered a donair, fries, and pop (number 6) and requested most of the ingredients offered. The cost was about $15. The vegetables were fairly fresh, and the beef was wonderful. You can select from a few different spreads and sauces. I liked to get all three spreads (garlic, hummus, and chili), then I love the white sauce. To top it off, they grill your donair, and the workers were patient with me as I was unsure what to get. Would definitely recommend, and I'll be back for sure!

Overly salty but not too bad overall. Surprisingly poutine was good. Tad too pricey for a donair.

Been going to this location for a while and it's one my partner and I's favorites. Food is great, and the staff have always been very friendly. The shop itself is always very clean and pleasant to be in. Prices have started to err to the more expensive side lately, but I would still recommend.

I made a large order for me and a few others. Meat was was incredibly salty (especially the beef) - I did not receive all the items I ordered, and did not receive any cutlery or napkins that I asked for.

I was a regular when they used to be good value for money. They are not anymore, I noticed in the last few visits that they significantly reduced the amount of Shawarma meat they put in the sandwiches. My wife also made the same comment lately.

First time it was great.second time it was ok. Not sure if I will go back.just don't want to be disappointed

Excellent donair. Minus one star as their price is much higher than comparable donairs. Taste was amazing.
