Donair Spot

I was hungry. It was reasonably decent food. Nothing special. But that's what i expected.

Two of us split the lamb platter. Enough for both of us, but we're not big eaters. $20 all in.

The menus are limited. Wraps or a few platters. Plastic utensils, We were the only ones customers for the 30m we were there

Not even joking can't make this up one of the best donairs I have ever had in my life. If a guy named Kakashi is working there you will never try a better donair. Seruisly if kalashs manager sees this. Give that guy a raise, he's racking in repeat customers.

Mr hamid is the kindest soul on this planet and i would happily buy shawarma here every day just to be able to talk to this sunshine of a man

Really kind owner and my chicken/lamb platter was sooooo yummy! I had enough for 2 meals! The baklava added a sweet treat afterwards:)

Mr Hamid runs a sweet home-y location. Such a pleasant place run by a sweet owner!

The people who drop by are locals and know this incredible gem by heart!

The food is incredible with one guy (Mr. Hamid) running everything smoothly!

I had a beef Donair. The food was feeling and delicious. The chef is so nice, funny, full of positivity. I just would have like it more if the beef were a bit more crispy. But overall nice place

Coming from Europe I’m a huge fan of kebab and this place is serving wraps that satisfy my expectations and beyond. Great portions too. My favourite so far! ️

I visited this place two months ago and the owner and I discussed how inflation has made grocery shopping so unaffordable. Food was good, we chatted for a bit and I left.
Today, I visited and the food was absolutely terrible. The falafels were microwaved, I tasted cake flour in the falafels instead of chickpeas, the pita was cold, the "mild hot sauce" was pizza sauce from a can, and just all-around bad.
Obviously, he has tried to cut corners in every way possible to keep up with inflation but I still paid $13.50 including tip for a falafel plate - we deserve some semblance of edible food.

We ordered falafel which has no flavor, left over and warmed up in the microwave and not cooked well.
The toppings not fresh.
They should close him down
He tried to serve us left over chicken shawarma.
Not coming back for sure.

The owner off this place is a scammer every one should watch out, his real name is ali and he uses fake name as a Mehran and his wife also involved is his scam

I went in to order lunch for 3. As I waited in a line up of myself and another customer I could help but over hear a conversation that completely turned me off and I walked out.
The person working there and the customer were talking about vaccination statuses and the information they were discussing showed pure ignorance and a huge lack of empathy for humans other than themselves. I was mortified and completely disgusted. I DO NOT recommend.

Great food but I would continue to go back for the service. The manager is so welcoming! Thanks again for a good lunch and friendly service!

Very friendly staff, I had a really exhausting day today and the person behind the counter noticed I was somewhat very hungry and asked if I was and obviously I said yes.
He generously filled my wrap with extra meat and veggies to the point it was bursting!
Definitely not dissapointed because the food itself was flavorful and downright amazing!
He was very nice and wished me a good day and so did I.
Not usually out around the area but if I am I would definitely come back and grab my food from here.

Not sure if it's because there wasn't any traffic in the store, but the chicken plate was VERY salty and somewhat dried out. I could not finish. Owner was friendly.

Used to be the favourite spot to come to for donairs in Vancouver, as I’m from out of town so it doesn’t happen too often.but this last time which is the first time in many years was just not that great there isn’t any sweet sauce anymore which is IMO the best part of donairs, but the meat was very strange as well.tasted very processed almost and there was not much distinguishing characteristic between the lamb and beef. I’m sure if I got the chicken it would probably have been a lot better in that regard but the lack of sweet sauce makes me sad too

Prices keep going up and food quality steadily declining. Chicken plate is ~$14 inc tax and the chicken had crusty burnt bits. Won't be going back unfortunately since I work nearby.

The owner is super friendly and helpful, we had a fast but delicious late lunch there. The food was great and there is a plenty of space to sit. Not really an upscale place, but well clean and organized for a Donaire spot. Also, prices and the food portion are reasonable.

There is so much competition on Broadway for food, and this place holds its own. Deliciously seasoned rice, meat, everything. Will be coming back!

I have to say.this was the most unexpected hidden gem! We were walking by and decided to try it.as soon as we walked in we were greeted with the warmest welcome. The owner explained his dishes.hows best to eat them.and let us try things to be sure thats what we wanted. It's by no means fancy.its a straight up family owned little mom and pop place. The food was served in plain Styrofoam dishes with plastic cutlery.this in no way took away from the dinning experience. The food spoke for it's self.it was extremely delicious. Fresh. Full of flavor.and great potions. And the gentleman behind the counter was cheerfully and extremely friendly. He made you feel right at home. We live about an hour away but have already said that we will be making a trip out very soon to grab another great dinner.:)

I dropped by with my sister one afternoon recently, a very nice follow-up from an evening visit some time ago.

First off, let me day that these are the tastiest donairs that I've had anywhere in BC. Maybe some others come kinda close, but these surpass in several ways.

The menu is simple and easy to order from. The ingredients are good and have fresh textures, and the spreads and sauces have great tastes that work well together.

I do like the way the vegetables are prepared. Ok, yes, this is a personal thing, but I think that thinly sliced lettuce works much better than inch-wide chunks. But all the veggies worked well in the wrap, they fit together well, they hugged the sauces and shared the sauces between them.

The pitas were fresh enough, too. I didn't get stale ends when I got to the edges of it. There was texture, but not annoying cardboard texture. It held together but didn't cause any jaw cramps from chewing too much.

The sauces and spreads had great taste. Did I saw that already? I'll say it again: Great taste! The hummus was something I'd look to buy in a store. The hot sauce didn't kill the other flavours, but it did bring in a pleasurable heat; a boost to each bite.

This is a place that I don't live close to, but it isn't far from main transit lines so I will easily work more visits when I'm back to Broadway in the future. Open a location on the North Shore!

Wow! The owner operator is a MAGIC SOUL! He's bringing cheer to all who enter, especially those who he senses could use some! I've been in a few times and overheard him recommending certain things on certain days, when he knows something is especially great! He is becoming a favourite spot that people travel long distances to visit.and perhaps as a consequence some others are jealous, thus the sprinkling of biter reviews below? Owner is a delight, and we've always been more than satisfied with our generous portions of tasty and fairly priced food. Yes, a few more items could be nice someday.like pickled raddish or drink options that are healthier than pop.and I do notice a pattern with people wanting different quality of falafel balls.but maybe this isn't 'that kind' of donair/falafal spot.this place is really about the schwarma chicken (juicy) or lamb if that's your preference, his sauces, and his amazing spirit! He brings us joy!

This is easily my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Not only is the food fantastic, but the customer service is unparalleled. The chicken is my favourite, and is always really fresh, but you really can't go wrong with any of the proteins, even the falafel is seasoned nicely. You can't go wrong with a wrap, they are huge and delicious, but the rice plates are really what you should get if you are hungry. I have never left disappointed when Hamid is around, and will continue making weekly (or more, let's be real.cooking is hard) trips to visit him!

10 out of 5 stars. If you are tired of bland, tasteless wraps, then come here. Order the Lebanese chicken wrap and try keeping your head from popping off your body after the first bite. Absolutely delicious! And WAY too big for the price, c'mon!
