You are asked to wait outside in winter weather regardless if there are empty tables. Not allowed to stand in restaurant entrance area. They ask for you to stand outside in the cold (winter sub zero weather), lack empathy and take over 10 mins to call you in even when a table has been emptied. Understandably, they are very short staffed. Service is also subpar and average at best once seated.

Food however is on point and pricing is reasonable.

Great spot! Surprised to see some good vegetarian options. Definitely not vegan friendly. Had the rice cakes and vegetable pancake and would recommend them.

Probably the best stone bibimbap I've had in Metro Vancouver so far. They even had an extra stone pot served with crispy rice. The pots were served in elevated wood boxes. The organization of the meat and veggies was so beautiful and the portions were big

Really reasonable prices for good food and great service. Theyre generous with their side dishes (kimchi, tofu, onions), meaning unlimited refills when you ask.

We got the Soup + Bulgogi combo (w/ extra rice). The portion was great for two. Total before tax was around $29. Wow! Barely see that kind of prices dining out for two anymore.

The food here is good and price is fair, but today we came in as a party of 2 and put our name on the waitlist. We were respectfully standing at the entrance (which is very spacious) we were at least 2-3 meters away from other customers dining. We weren’t in anybody’s way, and there wasn’t anybody else around us. But the waitress asked us to go wait outside.

It’s 12 degrees today. I have a car which I could have waited in. But I find it extremely unfriendly for customers that don’t have a car and have to wait in the cold. I would understand if the entrance was just too small or if there was a big crowd at the door. I don’t see a reason why we had to wait outside, especially because they called us to come inside 2 mins after we went out. At this point, we’ve already left. There are plenty of Korean restaurants with the same quality around

I ordered a side of the mackerel and it was delicious seasoned and cooked just right. Soup and kimchi were also good thank you very much for the experience

The tofu soup only has beef and tofu, which is a bit disappointing. The beef is just ordinary beef slices and is a little bit woody. The amount of kimchi is a bit small and the taste is sweet (I rarely eat kimchi that I don’t like). The pickled radish is also sweet and not crispy. This set meal costs $16.99 extra! I don’t think it’s worth the cost. In addition, the fried chicken tastes okay, but the rice cake is not transparent enough and a bit hard. I can only say that ordering Uber delivery this time made me think that there are other options that are better and have better CP value.

Revised my rating from a few years ago, giving my friend and I the experience that we dont feel like we should come back again.

We got seated - ordered our food, one was a cold noodle combo and an extra cold noodle.
45minutes later, we then asked for an update, then was told they are working on it, and should be out in 10-15 mins, what suprised me was the table that arrived after us already got their food - so my guess was our order was forgotten or lost.

Alright the combo comes out.as I wait for the 2nd noodle, I then asked about it - the server was extremly defensive - that we only ordered the combo, and went on about us just ordering 1. In the end she said I can put in the order for the other one - after being all defensive and rude with the encounter, simply said no thanks we'll just share the 1 and called it a night.

Not impressed with the service, I understand they were busy, but would have been nice to solve the situation that we've been waiting long and lets get us food.

My fav tofu soup restaurant. I like their service, clean place and yummy food. I eat here because they don’t use meat based broth unlike many other tofu soup restaurants. And they also have non spicy white tofu soup which my fiancé can enjoy. Thank you for the best dooboo soup!

First off there's no place to park, then when we came in to be seated, we were told to wait outside when there's empty tables available. Poor customer service, I don't recommend this place nor will I be coming back here.

The food came super late and the server (the order lady) did not notice when we were trying to order. The restaurant is not big I don’t know what they cannot even see the whole tables. The server (old lady) forgot to give us the takeout box as well. Didn’t give us the refill. Customers are not a joke

Customer service is absolutely great here, the staff are very attentive to needs and so friendly. My wife and I ordered a bowl of kimchi stew and the fried garlic pork dish. The stew was flavourful, but the fried garlic dish was bland. Lacking seasoning, garlic was burned too which was sad because it really did look good.

This restaurant has some my favorite soft tofu soup - it's warm, comforting and has lots of beef (if you pick that flavor).

Amazing! Consistent food quaintly price is reasonably good for what you get.

Surprisingly good place to get your tofu fix. The curried tofu was so good I wanted to back and get more. The soybean milk was spot on. And the creamy silk tofu with brown sugar was just right as a pick me up. Would recommend to come here and try it out.

I am not a Korean food expert and I really only ever eat the bibimbap bowl because I love it! I have eaten bibimbap at other restaurants and this one is my favorite.

First time here- food taste good, I’d say something typical in a Korean restaurant. It’s not a bad thing but you know it’s consistent with others. I’d say pass on the fried clams and shrimp salad for its price you can order better dish for a little bit more money. Surprisingly the miso soup was actually really tasty! We didn’t plan to eat the miso soup, but we tried it in the end and we regretted not eating it sooner.

Home style Korean restaurant. Taste good with fair price. The only problem is the limited parking. However, we will come again if we are in the area.

Had mixed (beef + seafood) soft tofu soup and it was delicious. Regular spicy level was perfect. Definitely a place to return to!

I got spicy tofu soup and bulgogi. It was wonderful. Adding the egg to boiling soup was something new and fascinating.

My Korean friend took me to this restaurant, then I felt in love with it. Authentic Korean home style cuisine, very tasty!

It’s always busy here on weekends. Some people wait outside or in the car. They give you a call when your table is ready.
We really like the soft tofu soup with seafood. It comes with hot stone rice and an egg. I tried other busy soft tofu soup restaurant in Coquitlam, this place is way better and even cheaper.

We came here on Sunday afternoon before 2: 00pm. There were five groups waiting in front of us. We waited around half an hour to be seated. We ordered tofu soup, kimchi soup and bibimbap. The soups were good, and bibimbap was not bad until a bolt was discovered at the bottom of the stone bowl! We were lucky it did not crack my daughter’s tooth They changed a new bibimbap for us and did not charge the bibimbap, but it did leave a bad impression. They explained that the bolt came off the die reibe used to slice the zucchini. BTW, the place is seriously under staffed. Two servers did everything. That’s why there was a long waiting line and it took time even for them to bring the bill.

Had the Bean paste bowl. Tasted good but rather small portion. The included side dish was also the smallest I've ever had from a Korean takeout.

For the same price 88 noodle probably is a better deal and has better taste.

The original fried chicken salad was good. Bibimbap was also good but side dishes were just ok. We also ordered combo of cold noodles with pork bulgogi. Cold noodles was ok but bulgogi was kinda overcooked. Most parts were burnt and tasted just dry n bitter.
Their soups look really good, may come back to try next time but probably not the bulgogi again.

Ordered Kimchi Stew with Pork (Spicy level), order took 20+mins to serve. Disappointed at the preparation time.

The food wasn't worth the wait. They may have been rushed as it was during lunch hours. Stew was a bit bland and lacking any spiciness. The rice was disappointing too, came in a hot bowl which server spooned into a seperate bowl. But the rice was really soft (little too heavy on the water when cooking). Otherwise, the service and kindness from the staff was 5 stars.

Lastly a friend ordered tuna mayo rice on a hot bowl, the bowl was just half full (not half full of rice) just half full of rice and tuna combined.

I decided to try their hotpot rice with mayo since I saw many good reviews on it. But to my disappointment, what I received was just like fried rice, which looks very different to the picture on the menu. There was no mayo or even seaweed on top at all. Not sure if they made the wrong order or just forgot to put the essence into the dish.

I know it sound strange. But really. It’s salty but bland. And fish cake ban-chan is too salty …! I had to drink about 2 liters of water after eating …!

The fried chicken salad is great value for the amount of meat you get, though the salad portion is just a small clump of cabbage. Rice cake was soft and tender if you prefer this style, though the "white" (non-spicy) option is a bit lacking in flavour. The stone bowl rice was great. Portions are pretty good at this price point. Would come again.

Food was ok, but really disappointing customer service. They basically gave me the wrong drink, and the wouldn't replace it with the correct one DUE TO COVID!

Very unassuming exterior but it smells so delicious as soon as you walk in! The spicy chicken hot pot rice was well seasoned. The soft tofu pot with seafood was great too though I expected more variety in the pot (literally only tofu, shrimps, and clams).

DooBoo accommodated our large group so we got to try lots of plates. The chicken with cheese was different but delicious. All the food tasted authentic and was made well. My only complaint would be they didn't have any Korean beer.

Way too understaffed, from entering to getting food took more than an hour. Also no checking vaccine cards?

The food here is SO GOOD! It is super fresh and very authentic. The staff are all super sweet and do everything they can to make it a fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend.

I don't eat Korean food that much so I'm not an expert but I really enjoyed my food. Service could be a little better. No one checked on me to see if I need anything other than that every was great

I found DooBoo by chance two years ago and have been going there regularly ever since. The restaurant has a very homey environment and the food is delicious. Make sure to check out their sweet & spicy fried chicken appetizer and Chicken mayo stone bowl. They're absolutely yummy!

Went to another place on Kingsway but their website lied and they didn't have the chilled pear noodle. Thank gosh this place did! Even their hand sani smells good, not chemical. Plexiglass between the tables. Great food good servers good ambience. The noodle was exactly what I hoped for on a hot summer day, in a nice large metal bowl. Comes in spicy and non spicy!

Dooboo has came through for us multiple times. Food is always good, and service is great. Today was a tough day for them as it was the hottest day of this heat wave, but given the circumstances I think they handled it well. The cold noodles really hit the spot

Bibimbap is fantastic and pickled onion, radish is home made and so mouthwatering. Clean service, great prices and good portions!
