Ok, great location went for lunch with my two daughters. The worst espresso I ever had very bitter. Ordered the Cornish pastie, the meat was tough without taste. It’s hard to rate a service that is self serve at a counter, they then present a payment machine that presents a screen where a screen starts with a 15% tip, seriously. It’s lucky you have a good location where you can overcharge students.

Went here two days in a row and every sweet treat my friend and i ordered were so good! We spent around 25 dollars on all of our food total which was worth every penny and a small price to pay for the experience. 11/10 highly recommend

After trying Doughgirls once, it instantly became my daily go-to. Great savory and sweet options, even frozen "bake at home" options. Every bite is guaranteed to be full of flaky buttery perfection. Try them at least once.

Never call and ask if they can put bread aside for you to pick it up in 5 minutes. Today I made that mistake. I called at 4: 30PM to ask if they had any baguette left. They said that they have 2 left. I asked if they can put one aside, because I was going to be there in literally 5 minutes. They said of course and took my name. 5 minutes later I was told they sold all baguettes. Their excuse was that another person said that he called too. How is it possible somebody buys the baguette that you put aside with your name? In this neighborhood not everything should be about sales. As a family we have been coming to your bakery since you have opened. Next time have a policy and tell people that you do not put anything aside to be picked up later.

Worst staffs at the front! They never let you know about the any promotions like having a student day when you come for the first time and don’t know about such thing, until when you completely paid at the front!

What an amazing place!
I like their cozy retro vibe.
The foods are always fresh, and they use good quality ingredients.
They also have seasonal items along with regular ones which you never get bored of.
My favorites are cream brûlée, country ham baguette, egg salad sandwich, Julie’s Striata and Anadama grain. They are so delicious and have good portion!
I like that they offer frozen goods and preserved jams/pickles which are convenient and good for gifts too.

They made sweet round challah for us for Rosh HaShanah and make regular fresh challah every Friday. You can ask for special orders and they’ll bake what you need. Such lovely staff and delicious food made with love, freshness, and fair prices. Cannot recommend enough!

This is an amazing bakery with the loveliest staff who greet customers by their name and give dogs homemade cookies! I am so grateful for the warmth and kindness they bring into the community. The baked goods are always changing and delicious thanks to the very talented head baker Courtney.

I absolutely LOVE this bakery! Incredible bread, baked goods, and drinks served super fresh every morning. Moreover, I find the Doughgirls team is always so kind, smiling and professional - truly an all-rounded excellent customer service!

This is the best coffee shop in the UBC area in my opinion.

The coffee is great, the pastries are amazing: tasty and fresh!

Dropped by here for the first time. I had the Provencal. It was delicious, had great flavors but a bit on the salty side for my liking and the portion was small. If you're really hungry, I would strongly suggest upgrading your lunch to a combo with soup (+$3). I have yet to try their baked goods, but the prices look comparable to Blenz. Food aside, I found it difficult to know what was on their full menu. There is no board or menu card stating their options. While I waited in line for customers ahead of me to order, if their menu was posted I could have used it to decide. That also makes it difficult to know what ingredients are in each dish. While the staff helping me was receptive to my questions, I felt that during the lunch rush I was keeping back people in the line.

Overall, it's a great spot to grab lunch in Wesbrook village and I will go here in favor of Blenz.

Bought fresh bread this AM, was still warm out of the oven at 8: 45. Had to tear some off immediately to try and it was an incredible gluten experience.
Also have had their breakfast biscuit sandwich, super good!

Pastries are good. Frozen baked goods (shepherd's pie, spinach pie) are a bit pricey but good.

What an excellent lunch stop! The ham baguette and soup of the day is my go-to combo. If they have peanut butter cookies, BUY ONE, in fact, buy two! And don't forget their assorted cookies boxes that are available around the holidays.

Had the lunch special flat bread with soup and salad and it was all good. Staff were friendly. Be prepared for a wait as service was slow and the lunch line up built up fast

Our office team loves going to doughgirls for their delicious pastries and lunch options. Can’t say I’ve tried something I did not like! Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

THE worst experience, 2 employees on till. Their sign says Covid restricts to only4 at a time. So i wait while lots is hsppening in Bakery and there are already 4 inside cafe. All this time zero acknowledgment that i exIst as next customer. Then this man with a 4 year old in tow barges past me with the kid, both not wearing masks, breakingall the rules and what do the two at the till do? Start serving him as he is standingover the shops great bakery products, i meanwhile still invisible even though i obeyed their own rules, So many bad things all around this place that i left oh and great parenting skills to the guy as an aside. I’ve been a customer since it opened it’s door and Wow what a disappointment, no integrity anymore and they likely had no idea of all this experience even happening.

Great neighborhood cafe with good coffee and amazing food. Love all of the frozen take home foods. Best baguettes, and we always keep a loaf of village rustic in the freezer.

First, bad costumer service. The girl who was on the till was very unfriendly. When another person took my order of a hot chocolate I went to the till and payed for it, I never was told where to pick up the hot chocolate so there was me looking at her until fi ally she said.behind you.like I should know I had to pick it up basically by the door.for sure she was tired of talking I guess.very unfriendly manners.
I ordered a hot chocolate featured for the Hot Cholocate Week.holly f# $10 hot chocolate served in a tea cup.literally a teacup. I mean I drank the hot chocolate, very yummy, in two zips.the tea cup was like one of those the little girls play with.really really disturbing over priced for what you get. At one point I was even thinking she got the order wrong and I paid gor something else but I really didn't want to ask and get a two words unfriendly answer. Bad experience in general and that didn't worth the $10 I spent in a hot chocolate for babies kind of thing.ugh!

I'm an honest reviewer, so here it goes.

First time coming here today.
Initially thought the place was nice, cozy and has a variety of interesting baked goods. However.
The double chocolate cookie is drier than I had hoped and the chocolate didn't quite meet the standard I was hoping for (In comparison to Starbucks cookies or the one at Blenz Coffee).
The drink was okay, didn't taste like much but water. It is also overpriced in my opinion. Sorry, no offense, but for the same price, I would have gotten a large-sized cup of the same order at Blenz and it would have tasted better.
Lastly, I understand that no one has time for anyone, but the staffs weren't as nice as I had hoped. They looked frustrated, didn't smile at all and has quite a temper when taking my order.

So unless I ever crave for some new baked goods or am too lazy to walk to other stores, I don't think I'd ever come here again: (

Pandemic is a good reason for businesses like this to behave rude and not show any respect to their customers. This was my third time to visit this small cafe/bakery in my in-laws neighbourhood, I always go with my 3 years old in the morning but this time I visited in the evening. The staff asked for vaccine proof, I showed her but my brother in law did not have his phone so we said ok we wont sit down, since then the cashier started telling us with a rude tone to go out! We didnt even had our drinks. She was so disrespectful. Definitely wont visit and wont recommend. I would rather to drive further but have much better quality and much better service.

Cute place, food was good but service sucked. Was told to wait outside for coffee and they'd bring it to me. Waited outside for 10+ minutes, figured I'd eat the food I bought while I waited. Went in to check on the coffee and it had just been sitting under the machine to whole time. Took my half filled cup and doubt I'll bother coming back. Could have been an off day for them.

This very odd problem is that the bakery to customer service staff is poorly split. Too many cooks in the kitchen and no one helping customers! So a long line develops of 10-12 people as there literally is only one person behind the counter (of 4 in front and 4 bakers in back) that is actually taking customer orders. This is very shameful and can easily be fixed. I have visited the bakery twice in the past week and both times this occurred. I counted 10 full-time staff and only one waiting on customers - only one!

I want to come back but if there is another line, I won't wait again.

If you're in Wesbrook Village, go to Doughgirls! Their baguette is incredible, on its own or in the country ham baguette sandwich (which is better not heated). All of their bread is so good, as are their croissants and cookies. One of my favorite things of all is the peanut butter blondie, so if you see that definitely get it! Their coffee is also great. The staff are super friendly and efficient. I'm so grateful to live close to this wonderful place!

Some of the best baked goods, warm drinks and frozen meals to-go I can find. Love this place and the staff are a joy.

The deciding factor was the Oat cake. It was a bit sweeter than what we were used to. "My mom would freak out if she knew how much we paid for this! " I had the jam short bread cookie. I like the cookie, not too sweet, but the jam was tooth bending. Very polite and friendly server though.

The cookies are really good! Better than Butter Bakery because they aren't overly sweet. We also had the rhubarb pie and a some kind of blueberry tart. The pie was the fave of the hubby. The blueberry tart was refreshing and the berries were nice and sweet. We are definitely coming back.

Love all the baked goods here! The cinnamon buns are delicious. Definitely recommend trying this spot if you are in the area
