Dr Asa W Wong

Dr. Wong is a fantastic doctor, but his receptionist needs some training in how to be a kind and normal human being. It’s quite sad how rude she is.

Receptionists is terrible. Very rude, hangs up calls. Came into my appointment and seen her playing games on her iPad. Shows how “busy” she is. No wonder how someone who came in later than (same appointment time) us got in first

Dr. Asa Wong is been our family doctor for 14 years. He’s the best family doctor anyone could have. He truly cares for his patients and thorough with every visit. He never rush talking with patient and give you advice the best of his knowledge. He cares for his patients genuinely. Totally Highly recommended. The receptionist are very nice as well Jennie and now Esther, the clinic is clean organized and well maintained.
I fear the day of Dr. Wong’s retirement as it will be very hard to find a family doctor like him.

Been coming to Dr. Wong since I was a little kid that's over 30 years of visits and has always been courteous for professional!

Ps: I know the reception is a bit cranky but let's not try to bring Dr. Wong's reviews down you know he's very nice.

Also Dr. Wong please have a word with her as this effects on the business thank you.

Doctor Wong is probably hands down the best Doctor you can seek help from. He is very patient and understanding. He is thorough with his explanations and results. As a patient you feel very comfortable with him. He helps you in any way posssible. I think he does an exceptional job when it comes to your needs. I praise him each time he has helped me. I always feel bad when he's running around making sure he gets to his appointments.

Like someone had mentioned not to review him based on his receptionist. I agree she is not easy to deal with. I understand since Covid its hard to find medical receptionists. Nonetheless this one is not very professional. His last one was a sweetheart but she sadly retired. Don't base your reviews on the receptionist because Doctor Wong is excellent.

Dr Asa Wong is the best doctor I have had: I am a professional athlete as well as a worker I want to know the status of my health and Dr Asa wong is the man to go to.

He will educate you and truly take time in looking for the best options to get you feeling healthy again.

I could go on, the guy is a saint to put it simple.

I call several times to the Dr Asa and no one has answered my calls. Worse front desk service and I suggest you. Open a site for the customer service or Page on Facebook if u can not handle the phone calls.

This review is NOT for the abilities of Dr. Wong as a family doctor, he is exceptional at what he does, and he has been our family doctor for 20 years now.

HIs receptionist is extremely rude, whether that be in person or on the phone, and I am unsure of how she still has a job at a clinic with Dr. Wong, who is the nicest doctor I have ever met. I am confused why anyone would hire such an unpleasant person.

She hung up on me after I requested a phone appointment for my Grandma, who tested positive for COVID-19 today. She constantly is yelling over the phone. Even when I am waiting for my appointment physically, she is still being incredibly aggressive and rude to people on the phone, and to clients at the clinic.

I had first thought maybe she had a bad day, as speaking to clients all day can be tiring. But this experience has been consistent 5 times already, and I plead with Dr. Wong to fire the one thing in his clinic that is making his long-standing and new clients uncomfortable, which is evident in in other reviews here, dating 5 years back, with reviews about his receptionist continuing today.

TLDR; Doctor is phenomenal, receptionist is horrible.

I called the receptionist she scheduled the visit and then told they do not accept new patients and hung up.disgusting service!

Best Doctor in town! I have been going ever since I came to Vancouver. He is very understanding, patient, easy to communicate and try his best to help with situation. You can't go wrong with Dr. Wong!

Dr. Wong is a very good doctor and he makes his patient feel at ease and informed. BUT! His receptionist is rude as she can be, she makes the patient feels ashamed on getting their time wrong and such. We prefer the old one.

Dr. Wong has been my family’s doctor for 15 years. He is very informative and cares a lot for his patients.

The best GP I've ever seen - caring, professional, patient, knowledgeable, humble, principled/ethical, an advocate for his patients, etc.

Haven't had a bad experience with the receptionist; but even if I had I wouldn't give one star! That's like going to a restaurant and complaining that the meal is terrible because the drink that came with it doesn't have enough ice.

Esther is very rude an unprofessional! Don't like how she gossips about patients telling other patients who had covid.

The new receptionist gave me the death stare every time I walked in and looked so unhappy with me. I started to wonder if she had beef with me. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable and nervous to be quite frank. I spent most of my time wondering what on earth did I ever do to her? Don't need that kind of stress in my life. Someone please have a word with her and tell her to figure herself. Maybe this isn't the right job for her. If she is going through some troubling times in her personal life, I think it's best she goes on a leave. She is an endangered species. The receptionist needs to learn how to talk to patients. She screams at them and yells for no reason. She doesn't know how to do her job, she just stares at you and rolls her eyes. I don't even think she likes her job she's just there because she needs money because no one likes her.
