Dr. Bedy Lau Facial Plastic Surgery

The worst, most painful medical visit I've ever had. I went for an initial consult for a small saliva stone under my tongue (that was moving freely and not causing a blockage or any pain) but sadly came away feeling shocked and physically abused. This doctor, without warning, attempted to painfully extract this stone with his hands, failing in the process, and leaving me with a completely blocked and now swollen/painful saliva gland, duct and tongue. I took Advil for 5 days to limit the ongoing pain he caused. I will not return, and seriously recommend you seek an alternative.

My experience was great. I only waited about 15 minutes for my appointment. Dr Lau was kind and explained that he'd be checking my ears, nose and throat even though I was coming in for jaw problems. He warned me before he began and was gentle with the scope. He was very respectful of my prefered name and explained the issue I was experiencing in easy to understand terms.

This is not to deny the experience of others - but it seems like the doctor may have seen the feedback others were giving and changed his bedside manor.

This guy is possibly the worse human being alive yells at patients and purposely hurts them

The clinic was clean and the receptionists were friendly and nice, but I had a bad experience with the doctor himself. He didn't let me explain the relevant medical history, suddenly started an ear wash without stating what he's going to do or explaining the process, and kept moving my head harshly instead of telling me how to position my head. At the end he got angry that I didn't tell him about using Q-tips a few months ago even though he never asked that, all he said was "it seems like you have a habit of putting things in your ear" which isn't the same and wasn't a question.

Lack of accountability and skillset to perform the operation he boasts he could do well. Lacks experience.

Only thing good here is a nice clean clinic on the surface

Before I saw Dr Lau I read these reviews and was disappointed my dr referred me to him. After seeing him myself I think he’s an amazing doctor! Super friendly and caring! The reception staff are also amazing! I would refer Dr Lau without a second thought! I don’t understand the reviews that say “he did the tube up the nose test without asking first”. That’s ridiculous - it’s what he does, it’s literally his job! And it’s to be expected! I’m very happy I was referred to him - he’s amazing and efficient! Thank you Dr Lau and everyone that works there!

The worst doctor I have ever seen. Shoving the cord camera in my nostrils so carelessly. He never ask for permission or ever say what he is going to do to you. Staff are not very friendly. This doctor is the worst and will never recommend him to anyone. You will get hurt and he doesnt care at all!

Worst medical experience I've ever had. There was no consent asked for anything they did before it happened. Like the other one star reviews will tell you. You will be forced to have a painful exam that isn't necessary. I question the validity of this person's entire practice. Horrible experience. Plus they made fun of other patients in from of me. Awful, avoid at all cost.

Read the other 1 star reviews, because they can pretty much summarize everything bad there is to say about Dr. Bedy Lau. I waited months to be seen by him and he rushed through my appointment within a few minutes and said there's nothing wrong with me, before tossing a prefilled prescription at me with a medication that is not covered by insurance. I'm hoping that my doctor can be refer me to a new nose specialist to get a second opinion - something about this guy just seems a little sketchy to be trusted!

The worst experience ever. Get your Dr to refer elsewhere for any and all procedures. Forced to give 1 star.

I didn’t read the reviews before my visit. And I was surprised to see all the negative reviews as my visit was very pleasant. I didn’t need to wait much. Well, I arrived 15 min early. So I had time to register and fill out the health check form. Doc Lau came very soon and talked about my issues. He was polite, thorough, efficient and to the point. No complain at all.
