Dr. Mark I. Reichman

I came to Dr. Reichman for corrective jaw surgery. I had a maxillary impaction, mandibular leveling and a genioplasty. From the beginning Dr. Reichman was honest about his past (which I didn't know about going in to meet him), never made you feel rushed, was kind, answers all your questions patiently and thoroughly, is of good spirit and holds a very high standard for his work. I am 1.5 years out of surgery with him and could not be happier with the results. The entire experience was wonderful with him. If you dont have a jaw problem it can be difficult to understand what this can do for your life and Dr. Reichman was the only person who really understood that. This is as much an emotional journey as a physical one. I highly recommend Dr. Reichman for his excellence in surgery and patient care!

Dr. Reichman performed tooth extraction surgery for my daughter with essentially no pain both during and after. He and his staff are incredibly competent and compassionate.

A fantastic experience. Dr Reichman has a great bedside manor and is highly skilled. I had an implant done and he explained the procedure completely and put me right at ease. He is truly a great surgeon. I recommend him highly.

Wonderful experience with all staff all around. Everyone gave great information without over or under explaining, which can get daunting or scary. Dr. Reichman was able to get an IV in the first time which is a feat considering every other time it's like several pokes at least. Explained everything he was doing so I didn't have to question anything at all. Seems to be a no-risk individual, and am very happy with the work. I was sedated and had three teeth removed, the nurses were amazing and fun and friendly. Can't recommend enough.

My son recently had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Reichman. Dr. Reichman was very reassuring and professional. He came and spoke to my son for a few minutes prior to and following the procedure. We were expecting a lot of pain and significant swelling of which neither occurred. My son had minimal pain and minimal swelling. There was so little swelling that you could not even tell he had surgery. He was back studying by Day 4. It went as well as we could have hoped and would highly recommend Dr. Reichman for wisdom teeth extraction.

I had upper jaw surgery performed by Dr. Mark Reichman in July 2017 at UBC Hospital. From my initial consult a year and a half ago to the present day of recovery, Dr. Reichman and his staff have been the epitome of excellence and professionalism in oral surgery. The communication of Dr. Reichman with my orthodontist was effective and further ensured a superb outcome. I come from a family comprised of several medical doctors /dentists, who all weighed in on the treatment beforehand and post- surgery. It has been our experience that Dr. Reichman's skill and patient care is second to none. During my recovery, Dr. Reichman went above and beyond to ensure that I was cared for with a minor complication I had related to my own body's healing. He is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and experienced. Overall, the surgery results came out better than expected and I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Reichman.

Dr. Mark Reichman performed upper and lower jaw surgery on myself in 1997 to fix a malocclusion. The operation left me with a torn palate, ripped through 3 layers of tissue in to my nasal cavity. He attempted to fix the damaged palate with two additional failed operations. The jaw surgery widening was excessive which caused the massive tear. He choose " free grafting" to attempt to seal the torn palate. The first attempt made the hole smaller, the second attempt failed and left extensive scar tissue. I consulted 4 other surgeons and decided to stop allowing him to experiment any further. I have had a plate covering the hole now for 15+ years. I only wish I had reported him to the CDSBC for disciplinary action. I hope he has learned from the experience. My only suggestion to other patients considering jaw surgery for Orthodontic reasons is get a second and third opinion to acquire all the facts and risks. This man actually said the 15mm x 5mm slice would close on it's own. Now I read online of his dodging his criminal behaviour with a fine for sexually harassing a female patient.

My experience with Dr. Reichman has been nothing short of phenomenal over the years I've been seeing him.

I have read some negative reviews and it absolutely vexes me as I have never had any experiences such as those described in these negative reviews.

Firstly his skills are phenomenal. I have had extensive surgery performed on me by Dr. Reichman, including implants.
His work is exceptional and has been described in such a way by other dental surgeons who have examined his worl on me. It is extremely precise. I find him to be a perfectionist.
It is without hesitation that I recommend implant surgery by Dr. Reichman to anyone needing it.
You won't be disappointed.

I find him to be very personable, unpretentious, very sociable and easy to communicate with. He takes time to thoroughly explain every aspect of any work needing to be done.

I could go on but you get my point.
I feel he is among the top in his field.
