Shannon is a warm, caring and extremely thorough practitioner who takes the time to deeply understand her patients concerns. She is so diligent in getting to know and work with each individual body to provide the most accurate and beneficial solutions. I highly recommend her for acupuncture and Chinese medicine remedies.

Dr Shannon Larson is personable, thorough and made me feel very welcome from my very first visit. I have been a patient for over a decade and am very happy with my treatments!

I've been seeing Dr. Larson for a variety of issues over the last 3-4 years and she's absolutely incredible. No matter the issue, she always finds a way to help. She takes the time to really understand your needs and genuinely wants to build a strong connection with her patients. It always feels like seeing an old friend whenever I visit her at the clinic.

TL;DR: Best Acupuncturist in Vancity. I’m terrified of needles, was skeptical about acupuncture and have been seeing her for close to 10 years.
Dr. Shannon Larson is conveniently located in Yaletown at the corner of Mainland and Helmcken street. Her clinic is part of Well-Beings Integrative Healing a holistic wellness collective, with a massage therapist and another acupuncturist. This review is about Shannon’s treatments as I haven't tried all the other practitioners. She is honestly the best acupuncturist and all around holistic practitioner I've ever encountered. I've always appreciated body treatments but, until meeting her in Yaletown back in 2014, felt I was basically paying for glorified pseudo evidence based treatments. Not only is she knowledgeable, she is a lovely human being and you can tell she truly cares and has a passion for what she does. During the first consultation, she genuinely takes the time to get to know what makes you… well… you! All her treatments include: pulse and tongue diagnosis as well as an analysis of your physical and emotional state. You then step onto her table and she gently needles you, while maintaining clear and compassionate communication with you. Once the needles are in, she leaves the room to give you space to breathe. I’ve always been terrified of needles (still am) and her honesty is what got me hooked. She has never lied to me about the sensation of the needles and maintains communication while she is working. Most importantly, she listens and truly, truly hears you, no gaslighting here. To top it off, she is also a brilliant herbalist, a woman’s health specialist and a doula. I always leave her grounded, and whatever I sought treatment for always gets resolved within a day or two. I’m a convert! It truly does work!
