Dragon Fort

We've been ordering food from the dragon Fort for years, last time. We ordered to go, but it wasn't very good. Hopefully, it was just an off night for them.

I wasn't a fan of the chow mein. It was very soggy and lacked variety in vegetables. The other food was okay. Could have been more flavourful

The most disgusting food ever. The food was flavorless. Noodles were mushy. The very bland honey garlic chicken was full of deep fried flour with barely any chicken at all. The only thing that was worth eating was the chicken balls. Ended up tossing majority of the food it was so disgusting. Their quality of food has gone downhill. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

They didn’t give change for my food and I have been waiting for over an hour the next day to get my change back I wouldn’t recommend this place

I believe the owners passed the place to their kids, and the kids are driving it into the ground. The take out portions are half the size than they used to be despite the employees saying they are the same size, they arent. The food is terrible now and over salted and tons of msg, and thrown together like a lazy teenager would do. I saw in the kitchen and it is FILTHY! We will not ever go back.

Chicken balls have way too much dough otherwise food was pretty good. Service was okay but it took forever to sort the bill. 4 persons with drinks $120 all in.

The old man that collects the money has absolutely zero customer service skills my mother ate her whole food while I waited 35 minutes for my chicken fried rice then when it came and it was cold he wouldn't even take it off my bill. This place is going to completely downhill since it was sold probably the only Chinese restaurant I know in history that overcooks vegetables in their stir fries like wow.

The key to this restaurant is freshness. All the food is very fresh, well made and tasty. Whenever we come to Abbotsford, we need to stop here.

Slow and bring food to the table one at a time with major waits in-between, friendly staff though!

The food is always good here! It is always hot, the portions are huge! The people are nice and the lady running the to go counter is crazy good at what she does. She is a well oiled machine!

We have been going to the Dragon fort for years, but this is the last time. The last few times the food was not as good, but the prices went up, and this time my daughter has been waiting since 5pm and still has no order. It is now 7: 38 pm. She phoned in the order.

Great portions, good value, tastes great and always popular. Bring your patience as it can get very busy fast…. But the food comes out just as fast.

The wrost place do take out. I ordered pick up at 6: 45 and waited at the restaurant till 7: 20 to get the order. The food was so bad and the manager was very rude when i asked for my food. He was like you have to wait if you need your food

It estimated delivery time was 1hr 44 minutes and yet still 30 minutes late. Upon calling spent 15 minutes waiting just to be told it was almost here around the corner. No apologies or any amount of concern. This place has very much declined in the past while and I highly discourage wasting time ordering. Food is average. Definitely not worth the wait and completely dissapointing for my daughter's birthday. $100 in good yet no care, and extremely in acceptable wait time.

Dragon Fort in Abbotsford is absolutely or go to when we want Crab and Lobster.
Cook to perfection. Portion sizes of any dish can feed a large family. Prices are fair and staff is attentive.

I’m not sure where to start with this place. I’m gona review based on the experience we had on a Sunday evening. It’s probably better on other days but man what a gong show during our visit.

The place is very westernized in the sense that there were only forks on the table (everyone with us was looking for chopsticks) and we didn’t get the usual hot tea, but got iced lemon water instead. That’s fine.
Place was very crowded, loud and seating was tight. We were seated right away as my mom called ahead for a table.

We did have a big group so I can’t blame them for the order mess up. We came in at 6 and wasn’t able to eat till 7: 45…that’s when ALL of our food was on the table. I overheard our waitress tell another group that there’s some conflict in the kitchen, not sure what that was about.

Anyway, our food came in like 5-10 minute intervals and a couple orders brought to us (not by our server) were wrong but our server was quick to correct them. Our server was very apologetic at the end and it honestly couldn’t be her fault so that’s okay.

The food was alright, I would recommend their fish dishes, because those were definitely delicious. We had 3 different kinds, sweet and sour cod, green onion and ginger cod, and pan fried cod with seasonal vegetables. Everything else was either too sweet (chicken chow mein), greasy (fried rice) or just didn’t taste right (honey garlic wings). Can’t complain much though because the price isn’t bad at all.

Oh also, funny thing, I ordered takeout online for my fiancé and I got that order before our food on the table was complete. My fiancé said that the takeout was pretty good and had big portions, enough for 2 meals per dinner for 1.

I would like to come back and give this place another chance, maybe not for Sunday night dinner.:)

Let me start by saying the food is quite good. We phoned in our order at 4: 25pm ish and asked for it to be ready at 6 pm. We then called and asked if it could be ready earlier like at 5: 45 and were told ok. When we arrived at 5: 45 our order was not ready. They told us they would check on our order. In the end our order was finally ready at 6: 18pm. Needless to say we were not impressed with the service.

Best chinese food in Abbotsford/Mission - No contest! Reasonable prices and huge portions - Recommended!

I rated my experience was between 2 and 3. I had take out and I also ate in - 2 separate occasions.

I don't know what happened but the take out containers are a lot smaller than before Covid. Definitely not value for money. I had a lunch special #1 and the pork was grisly - not the best for sure. The food isn't the same. I am wondering if they are under new ownership?

Eating in. We had the lunch special #1 and #5. Nothing special about the food - it reminds of buffet food or Ginkgo - mass produced less freshness. Again the pork was grisly and the chicken balls had more batter than meat. I also got charged for switching out the rice for chow mein. Really?

I think I will try somewhere else like the Jasmine Garden - they are pretty good.

If they're busy, expect to wait 30+ minutes past their estimate for pick up.

Unfortunately after 20 years of supporting this restaurant it's been sold to New owners and it's already drastically gone downhill. I was very upset to order food and be charged an extra $1 for each container that they sent my food to my home in and they were very confrontational when I asked them about this charge stating that it's on their menu. Again I've ordered there for 20 years I think it's their job to tell me that all of a sudden today they decided to start charging me $5 extra for their food. The quality food isn't what it used to be the service inside took quite a bit longer I really do feel sorry for the waitress that they've had forever who's always a ray of sunshine for today is my last day dining there. The bamboo palace on South Fraser way is always been very delicious that has very comparable specials. Unfortunate Dragon fort's new owners are too disrespectful.

Solid fare (assuming you skip the made-for-white-people items). Decent prices. They can get busy at peak times.

Was very disappointing. Did not know so many dishes had shrimp in them as it was not listed on the menu.

This restaurant has a large menu, where I believe they really shine is there seafood dishes great selection, delicious flavors and beautifully prepared

Ordered the food and was told 25min. Arrived at the estimated ready time then had to wait an additional 45minutes to get my food (making it over an hour).

If looking for timely service, based on my experience, recommend going elsewhere.

We live in Maple Ridge and it is worth the trip out there for the food. We have been going there from when it was an old house. We go there every couple of months great Yang Chow Fried Rice no peas.

Appalling customer service! Was told 30 min on the phone for my food, got there a few minutes early to pay. While waiting in lobby, many skip drivers came in with an order number higher than mine and they got their food right away and left. At the 40 minute mark I asked where the food was and was told it was being packed up. 10 minute later no food so my wife went to the desk and our food came out, she questioned them on the delay and they said “they cant control” the kitchen and she asked why give estimates then. She also called them out for lying as they said it was being packed up and there is no way it takes 10 minutes to bag up 4 items. She asked for eggs rolls to be added given the extra 20 minute delay (and we could have made other stops on the way to get the food or order elsewhere at it was for a birthday dinner). He said it would take another 10-15 mins and offered pop. He grabbed 2 cans of coke. My wife was insulted that both of our time was worth $1 of pop. She asked for $10 back and was refused. Extremely rude to have skip orders bump our order, not be phoned to say there is a delay, be lied to, and then insulted by being offer 2 cans of pop.

On top of it, the chicken with special sauce was only suppose to be “kinda spicy” and was actually very hot and was full of green peppers (which we don’t like and is a cheap filler) despite it not being a listed vegetable.

I like the Wonton soup with rice noodle special. Big dining area. Bill and Rose are the best. The take care of the customers.

Lunch special is deal, great portion and amazingly inexpensive. Foods taste ok.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere (huge space)

Great food but sadly long waits to get your food and the thing I find really depressing is the fact that they charge you $0.50 for sauce your sauce on the side. Does not show it anywhere on the website when you order. Never have I ever heard of a place charging for the sauce on the side. Would have been a 4 start otherwise.

Worst chinese food when I tried 4 years ago.
Tried this week, well no change. Same worse food.

We ordered at 4: 30. They said it would be ready for pickup at 6: 30 because they were busy. It's currently 7: 35 and they still are not ready. We only ordered 3 small things. Never had bad service until today, this is a joke. They also wanted to charge us extra for coming late (6: 34) but we still haven't gotten our food even after paying. How can 3 small things (Springrolls, fried rice, and veggies) take almost 4 hours? And why did we have to pay extra?

Great food and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. But, any leftover food that you might have and want to take home they charge you money for a throw away container! What!? I have never gone to a restaurant that charges you to take home your leftovers! What if you don't want to "buy" a container to put your leftover in? What are they going to do, throw it all into a plastic bag!? Stop charging your customers for containers to put their food in!

One dish was suppose to have cashews, there were 2. One dish was to have beef there was 3. Food was very bland. We won't be doing take from there again, eating in either. Thus was a 3rd strike for us

Very good food and very generous portions for the individual dinners! One dinner is enough for myself and my husband however we ordered one each and got a bigger variety and had left overs for next day lunch! Win win!

Fast, friendly service and delicious food! No MSG, just fresh, healthy food. I highly recommend!

Your basic American style Chinese food. Reasonable prices, good quick friendly service. Fairly utilitarian atmosphere

Stopped in for dinner during a road trip. This place would go out of business in a larger city. We left half the food on the table and went for burgers elsewhere. Very weak

Sorry to leave a bad review but. Only ordered from here because Bamboo Palace was closed and unfortunately we won't be back here. Spent $55 & ordered
1) chicken chow mein. Dry and lacked flavor.
2) Chicken chop suey. Vegetables were soggy and lacked flavor as well. The chicken smelt like shrimp. Didn't need to taste that lol
3) Spicy ginger beef. Big disappointment. Can take spicy out of the name lol. Beef with a soggy bread coating. Again no flavor.
4) Sweet & sour pork. Was okay.
Oh and the packaging. In styrofoam contains with a bag tied around with sauce dripping all over. Sticky mess to take out.
Over all waste of money, instead go to bamboo palace! Never be disappointed again

It's like feeding time in the barn. Hilarious. We went with friends and ordered the Dinner for six. We had to investigate about more water, more tea, more coffee. Food was really average but you get what you pay for. Waitress was really grumpy, she looked like she wished herself miles away from this place. Parking lot with security. This is nice as the neighborhood is not so good.

This Dragon Fort is by far THE BEST CHINESE AROUND! Ginger Beer is Devine and the best best bestest won ton I have EVER had. I've had LOTS of Good Chinese, but have yet to have found better!

I love this place. I've been going here for about 20 years now. I've never had a bad meal. I order one of their dinners for one and there is enough food to last me 3 meals for under $15. The veggies are always cooked perfectly, not too mushy and not too hard. The deep fried items always taste fresh and not like old oil. The staff i always friendly and very accommodating with the substitutions I made on my dinner for one. Ive had other foods on their menu as well and its always amazing. If you're in Abbotsford and you don't know what to do for lunch or dinner try Dragon Fort, you won't be disappointed.

I love the staff here! They are so nice and efficient. You get so many options in their specials and overall menu. It's a great place to go for occasions. The take out is a little hectic here but we usually eat in!

Have never had to wait for a table. The hot pots have been a favorite. The seafood is always so fresh tasting and cooked very well, never overdone. We try something new every time and have never had a dish we haven't liked.

Dragon Fort is amazing. The food is always on point, the staff is friendly and the cost is not bad for what you get. Only thing that could make it better is if they delivered!

Excellent customer service, hot and delicious food, convenient location and parking, value for money that we pay. Great job guys keep it up.

Had eleven here for dinner; vegetarian and meat/chicken orders all great. Started with won tun soup and it got better all nite

The food has gone way downhill almond chicken use to be the best now tastes and feels like rubber not impressed

Basic American style Chinese food. Lacking flavour. We ordered the combos for pickup. Everything was piled on top of the rice and chow mein so everything just tasted like sweet and sour sauce. The price was decent though but I guess you get what you pay for.

First time trying this place. Ate in and we order a medium Wor wonton soup, medium hot and sour soup, and Spicy honey ginger beef, with two beers. Bill, including $8 tip was $75. The service was poor. Hot and sour soup was absolutely gross and we only ate a few bites. Beef was like old beef jerky with very little flavor. Wor wonton was good but also barely put a dent in it. Felt totally ripped off leaving, with the only saving grace being that we’d both have a huge bowl of wonton soup for lunch the next day (we said we didn’t enjoy the hot and sour and were not taking it to go). Came home to see that she only packed the wontons, meat and veggies and gave us no broth, so the grace is gone. Very disappointed with the entire experience.

Bad experience. Their beer expired, their food had my stomach sick and I never had my stomachache this bad and I been to over 100 restaurants.

Normally a great place to eat but this time around it wasn't great. Chow mein tasted off. Not sure what changed.

This place is the best Chinese food I have ever had. We come all the way from Victoria to get it. If we ever come to the mainland we will always detour through Abbotsford to get Dragon Fort!

Szechuan Beef Udon was on point. Spicy and flavorful without being overwhelming in either category. Good service and lovely atmosphere as well. I never regret a visit to Dragon Fort, and make excuses to go there for lunch whenever I pass through Abbotsford.

This establishment has usually been pretty good but on Mother's Day we placed an order for dinner for four and were told it would be an hour. That I expended due to the date and did not give a poor rating for that reason. I sent my husband to pick up an hour later and he said it was super busy and they were handing out orders as fast as they could. My complaint is because everything was ice cold, so cold it could have just come out of the fridge. Very disappointed and pretty much ruined our dinner. If it isn't possible to fulfill the order then please just tell us you are too busy and not take our order I would have rather gone somewhere else and waited an hour as long as our food would have been at least warm!

Honestly, all the food there taste the same. We celebrated a birthday there and we bought a ton of food. We tried a ton a food, but I can't really differentiate the taste between the dishes. I'm not sure how they cook them but they all quite oily and they taste ordinary. All their food seems to lack something. Like wonton soup, the soup base is good but the meat taste weird. I feel like the cook there have been cooking the same food over and over, that they might be skipping some steps to hasten the cooking time.

By far the best Chinese Food in Abby! Paying can sometimes be frustrating because only one lady is taking all payments and can get quite busy

Great menu and perfect for large groups of people, waitress are friendly plus never let the tea pot go empty. Always go home with leftovers and a happy stomach

Went once to try it out.
It's fine, like a typical Mom and Pop restaurant. Good for large families that need something affordable and quick, or for old Fellas after a long day at work. It's what you'd expect, the American idea of Chinese food. Some flavour, lots of carbs. Meh.
The dining area is one large room, with square tables, and seating for 4 per table. There is nothing cozy about it, it's large and chilly.
The waitstaff are nice however.which is a plus:)
