Dragon Wok Restaurant--Indian style Chinese cuisine

Dragon Wok is our top favourite place for Chinese/Hakka food. Located within the Payal Business Centre. Offering fair pricing and a menu with a large selection of items.

The food here is so good that usually the restaurant is full, so we haven’t had the chance to dine in. However the service has been fast so we have been ordering takeout out. Everyone at Dragon Wok has been friendly and every time we have ordered the food has had impressive flavours that keep us coming back.

The Manchurian fried rice, hot and sour soup and Lemon chicken is our favourite trio of dishes to order. If you haven’t been, it’s worth the trip. Thank you Dragon Wok, we will be back soon!

Today we had rush lunch in Dragon Wok in Surrey. As we were just two and wanted to have fast lunch, so ordered a mid size bowl of soup with Wonthon, chicken dumpling as appetizer and Manchu Fried rice with chicken. The wonthon were super delicious and succulent. Soup was well in taste too. The rice was a bit salty so we expressed our dissatisfaction. The server immediately apologized and declined to charge for that item. We did not expect this good will gesture and pleasantly surprised with her hospitality.
Overall i would still rate a very high mark for this restaurant for their consistent professionalism and excellent cuisine

The food is good but the service is terrible. Employees doesn’t know what they are doing! The management needs to train their employees properly!

I discovered this restaurant about 10 days ago, and I’ve been there twice already! My family and I went there again last night, it was packed for dine-in and people were also picking up takeout orders non-stop! You know a restaurant is great when they are super busy even on a Tuesday night!

THE FOOD: We absolutely LOVED THE FOOD!
We’ve tried a lot of things from their menu, and everything was great. My family loves their Ginger Beef, Masala Fish, and the Honey Garlic Wings! Even if you generally don’t like beef, you will like Ginger Beef! I love their Chili Dumplings! Their Chicken Fried Rice is like no other, and packed with flavour! My family are also a huge fan of their soups, so far we’ve tried the Chicken Cream Corn Soup, and the Chicken Hot and Sour Soup, both are awesome! The Hot and Sour Soup is super satisfying, with tiny crunchy vegetables, it’s super flavourful and perfect for Vancouver weather!

The food is not oily at all compared to other places, which is awesome! Made fresh and it was ready very quickly!

Their menu has so many items on it, so a perfect variety of dishes! There’s something for everyone in my opinion.

PRICE: the prices are very reasonable, the quality is great and the portions are a good size

FRIENDLINESS: the staff are very friendly and we realized the owner was also there too (who is extremely friendly and kind)!

PARKING: the fact that this restaurant is located in a centre makes parking hassle-free and convenient.

Overall this place is a HIDDEN GEM in Surrey! We totally recommend it! We can’t wait to go back!

Read about this restaurant in Food & Wine magazine recently, so was excited to try it out for myself. We started with the Vegetable hot and sour soup which was delicious! Just the right amount of spice. We also ordered their classic Chili chicken, Masala fish, Spicy ginger garlic beef, Chicken Masala fried rice and the Vegetarian Hakka chow mein. All very flavorful and such generous portions - more than enough food for 4 people. For dessert we got the Fried banana with Vanilla ice cream and Indian chai which was just amazing! I highly recommend. Very reasonably priced compared to any other restaurant, plus their food is so unique and definitely a rare find in the city. Staff was super friendly and their Take-out/Delivery traffic was nonstop!

My only complaint would be that they only have 1 location. Would love to see them pop up in other neighborhoods. New Westminster or Burnaby perhaps?

One my favourite restaurants for Indo-Chinese food! Chicken Hakka chow mein, veggie egg fried rice, crispy tofu, and the masala fish are some of my go-to dishes that I keep coming back for and get at least once every couple weeks!

Food is very good and pocket friendly. Halal food is available but only annoying thing is loud music.

Avoid this restaurant at all cost!
The chicken fried rice, hot and spicy eggplant, chicken, tofu and beef dishes were all incredibly oily and very unappetizing.
The fried rice was soaked in oil and lacked any real flavor, the eggplant, chicken, tofu and beef were all super greasy.
The service was acceptable, taking in account that the restaurant was full.
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would advise avoiding it.

Not sure why this place is so hyped, this indo Chinese place is a half hearted attempt. I ordered chicken Manchurian and veg fried rice, I will rate 1.5 out of 5, no Manchurian gravy, chicken was fried like orange chicken in Chinese restaurants and rice had no flavor

Disgusting food. The lettuce seemed as if it were many days old. The food was so overpriced and didn’t match how much we had paid. Never eating here again and don’t recommend anyone else to either…

We ordered food through Uber Eats and these noodles are uncooked also, are burnt. This is totally not acceptable. I was sitting with my friends. And this really made me uncomfortable.

Very gracious and lively host both Richard & his wife. Gave us quick service with some sumptuous dishes in both veg and non veg.
Topped it up with his witty and smiling face.
Must try Banana Ice cream.

If I've ever had worse experience at Indo-chinese restaurant, I do not recall. I deeply regret not driving extra 10 minutes to go to Green Lettuce. Food was miserable - we got chicken chilli and hot&spicy prawn which was supposedly dry. They both came with the same exact sauce and tasted the same. Chicken was nowhere to be found.just the batter in sauce. We got Masala chai which remained untouched.and customer service was non existant. Will not return.

We had the schezuan beef, tasted like curry, the beef and vegetables tasted like chili. The chili chicken was good.

This is the 3rd time we picked up food here. The first time wasn't so good, the second time was great. The latest and 3rd time wasnt good.

Ordered the chicken Chow mein and the sauce was watery. The chicken was all batter, I'd say only 20% of each piece was chicken.

This place was recommended to me by a friend last year and was at first, pleased with the food. I've ordered about half a dozen times since then. However tonights order was very disappointing. I don't know if inflationary pressures have caused owners to cut back on the ingredients, or there has been a change in the kitchen staff but the quality was very poor. Sorry to say I don't think I will be coming back, considering there is another Indo-Chinese place at Scott Road @ 64th that is much more consistent.

Visited this cozy restaurant while I was travelling in Canada and loved it so much that I had dinner multiple times and introduced to my family living there all the dishes I tried were extremely delicious with right amount of spice levels. Owner is super friendly and makes great recommendations and even suggested us to try smaller servings. A must visit if you love Indo- Chinese cuisine.

Came here for dinner and had a fantastic experience.the food was excellent and so was the service. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance and cozy environment.

You can never go wrong with Dragon's wok. Their menu is not only wide but delicious at thr same time. For Gluten free, Try their sczhuwan chicken with fired rice. Their hakka style chowmein and chilly chicken is all time favorite.

(Review edited) Dragon Wok has been one of my go to places. Decently priced, great taste and quantity. Today my order was lacking in portion soze. I called in to complain. The initial conversation was not pleseant and I advised them that they lost me as a customer. Not an hour later I got a call from the owner who apologized and corrected the situation. Again, it's always been my go to, and it will most definitely continue to be. After today, I can also affirm that they have great customer service. 5 stars.

This is the only way I can eat “Chinese” food. Indian Chinese style food is a mind blowing fusion of flavours and this Dragon Wok restaurant delivers those amazing flavours. We also had large portions and speedy service. It was a great experience and I was giggling inside the whole time… tasty food makes me happy.

Ordered food first time from this restaurant. Told them to keep medium spice level. My husband and I had to throw away most of the food because it was super spicy …. Unedible … giving 2 stars only because the taste seemed decent (out of what we could eat) … even the fried rice and noodles burnt our tongues… will not be ordering again! Have to find another Hakka Chinese place!

Solid Indian/Chinese fusion, you can definitely tell there are elements of each and they blend together nicely. Their takeout table was very busy and it seems most of their customer base is takeout/delivery. I would definitely come here again.

We ordered noodles, chilly chicken and paneer, noodles and chicken were fine but paneer was not good at all, the quality of paneer was very poor and it was very hard

Do yourself a favour by ordering food from this hidden gem…An explosion of flavour, its by far one of the finest indo-chinese restaurants in the city. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal…Very Nice

The food we ordered was so delicious luscious, palatable, pleasing and satisfying. The chilli fish, schezwan chicken and dumplings looks so exquisite. Service is outstanding and very welcoming. Food was just amazing, my family and I had a great time. Was a great experience to be remembered.

Its a great experience. Very tasty food. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! And the price is also reasonable. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for Indian style Chinese food.

Delicious food. Reasonable price. The only reason why I'm giving them a three star is because of the dirty floor and walls in the washroom. Also there's a strong smell of smoke from the kitchen which would mean exhaust system needs improvement. I would still recommend the food here and will try to go back and hopefully they will solve these issues. On the other hand, you can also do a take out which I believe is what most customers do when dropping by this restaurant.

I recently went and ordered a chili chicken to go. The service was good, they were really busy so the server told me it will be 10-15 minutes. The order came in 10 minutes. When I opened the container, the chili chicken was really soggy. I called them and they did say come back and we can make you a dry version. I didnt have time.an hour after eating, I fell very nauseous and I threw up. Like I dont know if they are using fresh chicken. It was horrible. I was with a client when I ran into the washroom and threw up. I dont like to write bad reviews, but I feel a bit of feedback will help them.

Friendly and fast service, owners a great guy and always welcoming. Food was tasty and good portion sizes. The dining hall is nice and clean and it’s nice to have a halal Hakka option within Surrey.

Was in Vancouver for a vacation. Found this little gem of a place while craving for some Indian style hakka food. The food was amazing and the service excellent!

We've tried other Chinese/Indian fusion restaurants and now this one is our favorite, the unique taste on every dish, clean and polite staff makes you keep coming back! Have to try it!

I think this is the place to get best Indian Chinese food in the area. Good options for vegetarians. Portions are big and tasty. This place is usually busy with pick up orders and diners queued up. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

Went for lunch today with the family and all I can say is that this is Surrey's best Indian Chinese fusion restaurant. The menu is nicely organized and easy to follow. The food was very, very delicious. I really enjoyed the Hot and Sour soup with cilantro notes. We also had the shrimp fried rice and beef with vegetables in black bean sauce, which were very enjoyable. The portions were generous as well. A family owned restaurant that makes you feel at home.

Amazing Indian-Chinese hakka food. The portion compared to the price is really amazing. We tried the veg manchu soup with the garlic dumplings for starters and they were amazing. Later we had the veg hakka noodles with manchurian and it was worth the wait. The place is usually busy and seating is limited. They do offer 10% of on take out so you can maybe give that a try. I would recommend this place to all those indian hakka chinese lovers

I love indo Chinese food that's why we went there on mother's day but had big disappointment. Service was very poor, we waited for 50 minutes for our food and endup left that place without eating there and it was not busy at all. Seems like they were only dealing with take out not dine in. And a guy came after us his order was take out and it was big order they served him that was big disappointment. I don't think so we will ever go back there.

Great Indian Chinese Cuisine. Absolutely loved the food. The quality and quantity is fantastic. The food is also served quickly after the order. Hakka Chk Chowmein, Masala fish and Ginger beef i recommend. Super friendly staff. Fair prices and good atmosphere. The decor is beautiful a very homely touch and i highly recommend this restaurant. One of the best in town. Would love to visit again.

Small restaurant with lots to offer. The food is delicious and the owners are very humble and friendly. It's a spin-off of Green Lettuce, so if you're a fan of the Chinese-Indian fusion cuisine, I highly recommend. This is the best Indian style Chinese food I have had in Canada, the portions are really big and fresh food, not oily or greasy and delectable taste. My children are extremely fond of the food. It is a cute boutique size restaurant with friendly owner and staff.

They give good suggestion on the portion to be ordered depending on the number of people dinning, so we didn’t end up ordering excessive food. Highly recommend it for Good value for money and great taste!

This is family run restaurant and very friendly people. They are very warm, welcoming and make you feel very special. The food is very, very delicious, tasty and freshly prepared. I have been to other Indian style Chinese restaurants in Vacouver, Burnaby, Delta and Surrey- this is by far the best first class restaurant - just excellent food and service. The portions are big and great prices, much better then other restaurants. You cannot get any better then this.
The decor of the restaurant is also nice and you feel special compared to other restaurants, I have been to. I have already repeated few times since they opened few days ago. I have recommended this restaurant to many people.

I was super hungry and looking for places in Payal Plaza, and then i saw this wonderful place, and i realize i did the right thing by coming here! I enjoyed the honey garlic chicken and steamed rice.i decided to top it off with dessert. Highly Recommended place! 5 star food
