I just can’t say enough about the wonderful care of this dental clinic. I don’t freeze like regular people which made dental work very painful. My dentist referred me to Driftwood Dental (about 12 years ago) and I’ve been so happy ever since. They offer anesthesia which makes a 100% difference in my dental care. I wake up and it’s all done! All of the staff is friendly and I really feel welcome and that I am a valued patient. I feel like I am in safe hands at all times - the worst part and only pain is the IV. However, the anesthetist is so good at his job that most of that is in my head! Thanks to all of you for the teeth I have.

Excellent service, I was constantly asked how I was doing, and I was also given a break during my procedure to let my jaw rest for a bit. Front counter was excellent before and after my extraction! Very impressed!

They are the best. Dr. Borland and Brandy show incredible care and attention to detail in everything that they do. I drive up from Qualicum because I won't go to anyone else.

I have always had a great experience with them. We have been with them for several years with no issues. I am not sure what has changed but their customer service has gone down hill.

Had to take my 5-year-old son here for pediatric dental surgery. He was so well taken care of. The staff are excellent, professional, and very caring. And so great with kids too. The whole experience from referral consultation to day of surgery was organized and reassuring.

If you have mental health struggles regarding anxiety, I would not reccomend going here. The appointment left me in tears, and they tried to make choices for me regarding sedation due to my mental illness. They also wanted to ignore 3 doctors advice to get emergency, very neccesary dental treatment for myself in the 1st trimester. Ignoring those infections would have put me at risk for miscarriage. Very innapropriate. They also advised extractions, and when I followed up with a different dentist I was told that what they suggested was very, very wrong. I would have lost 2 teeth unnecessarily. Not okay. I found a dentist who I could be entirely transparent with and who had no problems helping me right away.

Absolutely fantastic service. Dr. Wong is great! All the staff really go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met and walk you through every step. Super friendly staff and great work! Highly recommend

This is the best dental office ever. Pretty much one stop service, as they have a complete team of dentists, endodontist, denturist…. Staff are great and friendly. IV sedation is awesome, too…dr. Mcgaw is an I’ve expert. Got mine on the first try, and I’m not sure that’s ever happened to me before. Just a great place to go, especially if you don’t like dentists……this office could change your mind!

I love this dentist office. They are always updating equipment. All the staff are wonderful and are happy to be there! They are so patient and kind. If you're lucky enough to be in Dr. Wong's chair he might even sing for you.

I have a fear of going the dentist. I had to have a tooth extracted. Dr. Sabrina and her assistant were very patient and kind to me. They took extra time and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend Driftwood Dental to anyone who is nervous.

Had a consult with endodonitist Dr. Moradi and assistant Michelle. Short waiting time, friendly and efficient reception, and very clear explanations. Would highly recommend.

When I went in the front desk lady (she was short and had blonde hair) was rude and wasn’t even wearing a mask your in a dentist office you should be wearing a mask anyways especially during a pandemic

I recently had a tooth extraction done by Dr. McGaw under IV sedation by Dr. Richardson and the rest of the Driftwood Dental Team. All the staff from the receptionists on up were exceptional to work with. They are all very welcoming and work hard to ensure that your experience is a pleasant one. I never thought that I would refer to a tooth extraction as a "pleasant experience" but that is the only way to describe my experience at Driftwood Dental. A big thank you and shout out to Dr. McGaw and his staff. Your patient care is second to none.

My daughter recently underwent treatment with Driftwood Dental. This was one of the best experiences we have had in a dental office! All of the staff were so professional, understanding and caring! They were knowledgeable and caring with my daughter who suffers with anxiety and fear after experiencing traumatic times at other dentist offices. I highly recommend Driftwood Dental!

Dr. Moradi and his assistant are amazing! I was very stressed upon arrival, fearing a terrible diagnosis, and they got me to relax simply with care and compassion ; they were empathetic. I left feeling so much better than when I arrived, even though there is lots of grueling work to be done. I was a tough customer because I was anxious and they did what they do, put me at ease, gave me hope, and I am thankful! Very professional.

I don't even know if there is point to posting my entire experience with this dentist. I've read some other bad experience and this office doesn't even care enough to address them. So for those that are looking for a dentist that cares about you and not your wallet. THIS IS NOT THE DENTIST FOR YOU!

Money aside, cause when it came to the cost of fixing my daughters teeth, I did not care, came to this dentist office cause they where recommended. I trusted them to help my daughter not put her in more pain. Its been 3 month later and she's still in pain. I have given them 3 tries to fix it and they will not cause she's 3 so I'm having to go get a second opinion that will cost me more $$$ they can see what they did wrong. DR. Chen seems nice (hens why I trusted him) but I'll tell you what happened.

I went into the the consultation and they ran behind 30 minutes, dr. Chen didn't even make the time to meet me the first time. Dr. Magua came in to see my daughter only to tell me she needed to see Dr. Chen and I told him, yea thats why I made this apt. Oh well he's running behind so we will rebook the apt. I waited 30 min to hear that.when I finally got to meet with Dr. Chen I was clear with all my questions and concerns, and we went over EVERYTHING that could go wrong, except what actually did go wrong, things went down hill after that. When my daughter went in for the work, they put her to sleep and I was there for that part. As soon as she fell asleep I was literally yanked out of the room, they didn't care I wanted to hug her and kiss her, they started rushing their work! When I was called back in she was covered in blood! CRYING! The nurse that i was told that was going to care for her couldn't even comfort her. I sent her to get me a cloth to clean her up and something for her to rinse. I hate blood taste in my mouth I could only imagine what she felt. Well, I called my hubby to come get us and then followed up with them when they made the follow up apt. They tried dismissing my concerns and experience and feed back to improve so other moms don't have to go through the same or the kids. The only person that has shown sympathy and is trying to get my insurance to pay for most of it is the financial advisor Joelle. No one is perfect but when dentist are charging more and more for their services, they need to bring their level of professionalism up to! Refund the customer if they need to go elsewhere to get something fixed if you screw up! Don't continue to take people money just cause there is a shortage for a pediatric dentist here in town. Moms and dads, I highly recommend you look for a different pediatric dentist if you want somebody more empathetic for your child and for yourself. Once my financial situation with this clinic is done, I will not be returning.

If you have dental anxiety (and even if you don't), Driftwood Dental is the place to go. They are extremely sensitive and kind and will alleviate any fears you have. They offer a variety of sedation techniques-including IV conscious sedation (which is AMAZING btw). Plus, everything in their office is state of the art-e.g, full-mouth x-rays take seconds! I had a molar removed and had no post-procedure pain or bleeding. I applied ice, but even so, was surprised to have no swelling or bruising.

I have been going to this clinic for over 20 years and have always been most satisfied with the service and competency of its employees. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I have had a life long extreme fear of the dentist. It was common for me to cry just inquiring over the phone when I knew I had an issue and needed intervention. I avoided them like the plague. When I moved back to the Comox Valley and broke a tooth, I was fortunate enough to be referred to Driftwood Dental. Long story short - Dr. McGaw, Dr. Borland, and all their staff - from reception to hygienist - just everyone - have been amazing. They instilled such confidence. There interventions (of which there were many in the beginning.that's what happens when you don't see a dentist regularly) were quick, painless, and extremely expert. When I was told I should have my wisdom teeth out - I would have previously dissolved into a puddle of tears and rejected that idea - instead I uttered a quick and calm "OK". I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have all cared for me and my comfort from day one and I walk in with confidence every single time.

During this pandemic the staff is very on top of everything and made the visits very relaxing.went in with a lot of pain and came out great.they were on top of it and did a great job fixing the problem
