Dubh Linn Gate is a fantastic place to go for a drink or for food. The staff are fantastic and the atmosphere is top notch!
My partner has been going here for years and has so many fond memories of listening to the live music and having drinks. We had a fantastic time listening to the live music together.
The food is really good! You can't go wrong with either of the pies. They have a fantastic selection of ciders, beers, and whiskey. I can see why this place is iconic! I can't wait to go back!
This place is good if red chair is playing. If ruckus delux is playing it’s also good but not as good. Book more red chair shows, give the people what they deserve.
Drove up to Whistler for the day from Vancouver and the first place we went to was Dubh Linn Gate Irish pub. Amazing food and amazing service. Great to see some familiar faces. Thanks for looking after us so well!
Following our zipline adventure, we were informed about a special discount at this bar if we decided to stop by for some food. Considering that we had some time to spare while waiting for a few friends to join us for dinner, we happily took up the offer. The bar provided both outdoor and indoor seating options, giving us the flexibility to choose our preferred ambiance.
The service we received was friendly and welcoming, enhancing our overall experience. The food served was delicious, and they had an impressive variety of beers to choose from. It's safe to say that this place is an excellent hang-out spot, particularly for groups and individuals who appreciate a good selection of beer and tasty snacks. Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to others.
Excellent, friendly, fun staff. Helped us make our choices of both food and beer. Best chicken wings we've had in a very long time. If you like wings, you'll love these.
I've only been once. I loved the atmosphere at this place and the service was great. Loved the clam chowder, but the pot pie was not my favorite. Again only been once and maybe a off night for.the pot pie. Menu was a little small and wish there was a few more options. All in all I would still recommend trying it out.
Good restaurant with a little bit of everything food wise and some good drinks. We had poor service on our experience but it was quite busy so still leaving 4 stars.
Great food and fantastic customer service! I didn't get a picture of the Cajun Chicken Sandwich, but it was delicious! The Long Island Iced Tea packed a punch!?
Good little pub with great happy hour specials. We only had the seafood chowder to eat but it was super delicious and rich. All of the drinks were quite reasonably priced and they had huge selection. This is definitely one of the more affordable spots in the village. Great service too!
Excited to be back in Whistler after almost 2 years. Through Yelp, looking for dog friendly restaurants and this place did not come up. Luckily I actually listened to my husband and we went from one end of Whistler Village to the other seeking a place like Dubh Linn Gate Pub. When we walked past we noticed the dog water bowls. We went up to the host who was super nice and said he could get us next open spot on patio. This place did not limit dogs to only outskirts of patio which already is a plus in my book. We had 30 minutes of happy hour left so I got peach ale and hubby got his Guinness cider pour. Both were tasty adult beverages. For dinner I was hungry so got the fish and chips. The coleslaw left something to be desired but the fish was yummy. Hubby just got pretzels with mustard and cheese dip. It was good. Service was attentive enough though wished I got a refill on my water. Our dog friendly excursion set us back 65 Canadian which includes 18 percent gratuity. It would be lovely if more restaurants were furbaby accessible in Whistler.
Have come here multiple times, every time my experience is the same. The food is terrible, especially for the price, and being in Whistler village! It’s extremely obvious how cheap the ingredients are! The servers also never seem to get my orders right. Super disappointed. The only good thing about this place is the beer, come here if you don’t want food.
Extremely poor service and rude servers. The host didn’t seem to care at all for customers. We were served a the salad with smelly salad dressing and chicken didn’t taste fresh at all. Nachos were very expensive for its quality. It took them forever to serve the drinks and the server didn’t care to apologize for their slip up. Avoid this place or do a small take away order if you have no option.
Clearly far more interested in lining their pockets than treating their customers fairly.
Queued up for 20 minutes in the cold with my partner, got to the front of the queue, then was told we wouldnt be next and our table would be given to a party of 4 who only just joined the queue so they could "fill up the table".
When I questioned if there would be a table for 2 available tonight, I was told "not a chance" by a male with a pony tail (manager) ? Get him enrolled in some customer service classes, lads. Seriously.
I was recommended your spot 4 times during our stay but since you cant respect your own queue system or your customers I wont be back.
Audra should be a manager. One of her colleagues accidentally sent two tables the wrong orders and she took it upon herself to take responsibility, correct the mistake and make sure everyone was still having a grand time. That girl was the highlight of our experience!
Very bad and slow service. A waitress was supposed to bring me the menu after waiting for a long time, a guy asked me if I need help. He was really rude, I was about to leave but I was hungry and decided to order. The quality of Fish and chips was very bad and over-priced. When I wanted to pay the bill, I was checking the price and the tips, the server told me if I don’t do it quickly we need to do it again then he said he is gonna show me how to do it! I told him I know how to pay and add tips, very impolite and unprofessional server. I will never go back there again and don’t recommend the place. I usually don’t write a review but was thinking it’s better to do this time as it was the worst service I received.
Good food, great staff, amazing beer selection with local craft options, the usual Guinness/Smithwicks and even some waterd down fake brews for those who like to pretend.
I just wanted to say I did not eat here but I just stopped by to inquire with the host (some guy in a ponytail) to ask uf they had any food specials. He said " nobody in Whistler has food specials. If you want a special goto McDonald's. "
If I wanted unprovoked attitude from staff I would have asked for it. Thanks, going to tell all my friends about how to avoid bad attitude. If this is how Whistler opens up I have better places to go locally.
Have come her quite a few times now. The Pub is large enough that you pretty much always get a seat somewhere even when it's busy. Service is a bit on the slower side. Drinks are a little pricey compared to the surroundings areas but the food is usually on point.
Great prices, tons of room to sit. The bar manager was rather rude, not even wearing anything that would show that he works at the bar. When a young man command someone to do something with out proper work attire to simply show that he works for the company is really lazy. Please if you have advise for covid rules, introduce yourself better.
Good food, good service, friendly staff, and you can have your fur baby with you on their patio unlike most of the restaurants in whistler. Would def be back and recommend to friends and family!
Love this place. Saturday night and live music, it is always busy then so make sure you roll up early to get a good seat. Staff were all on the ball with orders and they were very friendly. Food.well there is something foe everyone.
They don't deserve 1 star. I payed the bill for the entire table and the server went to the other people at the table and tried to charge them their portion again? She was clearly not drink educated and argumentative. The owner was rude and unprofessional, he told my husband to get the people down from the tables, it was strange
Went there and the menu had a total of 15-18 items and nothing looked especially enticing so we literally left. The ambience on the patio was birthing and cold.no music or anything.
Over crowded on the weekend. We were placed in the corner by the stairs. There were sweet little rats jumping on n off from the stairs as we were eating. If you are a vegetarian or a vegan, this is not the place for you as they hardly have any options to pick from. I ordered coconut vegetable curry with naan and was shocked to see that the naan was smaller than an oreo cookie in size. Over-priced!
The server were sweet and polite though so 1 star for the food n seats and the other star is for the service.
Had some amazing drinks and poutine here. Definitely would recommend it. The food was so good and the service was amazing. Definitely will be back again here soon.
Cian and nick were absolutely lovely especially while my partner was in the spa.the only shame is that Cian is a Leeds supporter! Nick’s advice on frolf is spot on an Aussie and Irish combo you can’t go wrong by.
Dubh Linn Gate is iconic for Whistler Apres and nightly events. Irish pubs around the world have a reputation for being an exciting and lively establishment to let loose and have fun and this place lives up to that reputation.
One of my favorite places in town. Epic outdoor patio, very reasonably priced menu and great live music. The staff are always happy and friendly:)
Was rudely told to stop eating an energy bar while sipping my $9 beer and browsing the food menu. Safe to say I didn’t order after that. Ever heard of low blood sugar?
Amazing! The food is amazing especially the sandwiches. The service is so great! Servers are helpful, friendly and very quick. They follow all COVID protocols and have plexiglass shield between seats.
Server wasn't friendly or warm at all. 2 for 1 fish and chips was soggy.has wings for an Appy. 3/10. Dry. Not a lot of sauce at all.wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.
The fish and chips, beer and vibe here were all great! It was one of my favorite meals in Whistler Village and wasn't too expensive. They had a great selection of both beer and food!
Great beer selection and a massive nacho appetizer that filled 6 of us. Definitely recommended for those looking for a pub experience post ski session.
Nice bar and restaurant right at the base of Whistler. Outdoor seating with heat lamps and firepit, inner is done like an Irish pub. Only negative is the slightly silly Scottish tartan minikilts they make the waitresses wear, you'd never see anything that daft in Ireland. But overall a really great place to hang out after a day on the slopes. The live music in the evenings is good.
This place is "just grand", as the Irish might say! I had the beef and Guinness pie, and my wife had the west side bowl. Both were really delicious, and I've vowed to get the same pie any time I find myself in Whistler!
They have a great range of Irish beers on tap as well. I jump at the chance to have Kilkenny on draft anytime I can, so I was glad to find it here.
Located right at the bottom of the Excaliber gondola at the base of Blackcomb its easy to find Dubh Linn Gate, and they feature live music on weekends and holidays, usually with one set at 4pm and another at 9pm.
It's free seating and it can be tough to find a table during peak times, so I'd recommend making a reservation or going early if you have a larger group.
Great Guiness served here and a splendid restorative end to a hard day skiing. The live band starts around 4pm and plays a rather eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary music.
What a fun pub! There was live music which was lively and fun, a great selection of drinks, and an appetizing menu all in a cool pub atmosphere! We stopped in just for after- dinner drinks, and it made for the perfect end to our day!
The live band playing that night, WHISKEY DICKS, was so so so so fun! We purchased a CD we loved them so much. The place was packed.but the waitress was so on top of it. We were never waiting for our Guiness. We stayed way longer than anticipated. Definitely check it out. Loud though.so not good for chill catching up.
Excellent! The place is cool, nicely decorated. The food and service were impeccable. Even though the bar was full, all you needed was settled in a moment.
This place seems to be packed always. Great group of people young and old. Live music. No cover. Food is good if you're more interested in sitting down. This is usually our go-to spot because it never disappoints. Been our go-to for the last 20 years. If you're looking for a lively time after a ski day, put the duhb linn gate on your list.
They had a fantastic atmosphere with penetrating loud live music that would simply get you to start moving. The Pub was filled with many happy dancing people. The staff where friendly aswell.
