Freshly made dumplings that are stuffed to the brim and juicy! The owner makes them from scratch after you order so expect to wait around 15 minutes even if there are no customers. Very nice lady thats proud of her food. Chili sauce is also house made, flavourful and not too spicy. Reasonably priced with 15% off frozen to go dumplings available as well. One order of dumplings minimum per adult for dine in. It's a quiet place but that means no waiting to get a seat!

Chased me out the door for more tips. And keep saying we were mean trying to force us pay her tips……. For around 10mins…

It was our first experience of having dumplings. Food was okay and fresh. But the lady insisted us to not leave without a tip. She just spoiled the whole experience with her rude talk.

Came here for a quick lunch on New Years Day. The dumplings are very delicious and come in 3 styles when ordering cooked (pan fried, boiled, and steamed.) You can also order them frozen to go. We had the cilantro and lamb dumplings, and a vegetarian variety. Both were tasty and fresh.

A few things to note if you give this place a try - water is self-serve and there is no hot tea. Soft drinks can be purchased at an additional cost.

The sides are mild in flavour, and I wouldn’t recommend coming to this place for their sides - the verdict on them is that they are jus ok. But the star focus is clearly the dumplings.

Lastly, the owner is also the chef, and she appears to be very busy on her own so don’t expect legendary customer service. She is friendly enough and that is good enough for us.

This is not the place to go for good atmosphere or fancy drinks. This is a dumpling shop. Eat dumplings and then leave.

I would recommend this place to dumpling enthusiasts, but not as a place to go with a large group.

Visited around 6: 30 pm but there was no one in the restaurant. Ordered takeout for steam dumplings and they taste worse than the grocery store frozen ones. Definitely not fresh made. The comments said there is a sweet nice lady running an one woman show. Why was she so rude to me? She is either racist or really needs to improve her way of communication.

you can watch her making the dumplings through the kitchen window and this will make you feel warm.

Unassuming little eatery that offers incredible dumplings. We ordered three different cooked dumplings to-go (beef, lamb, pork). These were freshly hand made with perfectly balanced ingredients. We will return to try their other dumplings. If you like dumplings, The Dumpling House is a must.

Absolutely fantastic. We've been coming back for Frances' dumplings for years, and we adore her excellent food and personalized service. Try the fennel & pork dumplings - divine!

Dumpling House is Incredible - everything is made carefully by hand and is delicious. You can sit for dumplings & then take more frozen ones home with you. Pork and fennel or lamb and cilantro are a fave.

Not worth a visit. We visited this place around 4.30pm. There's no customer in the restaurant. We are 3 person (2 adult and 1 kid). We ordered a dumplings for 12pcs and a 1 porkloin side but the lady doesn't want to process our order because she is demanding that each person should order separate set of dumplings. I even clarified coz I am ordering 2 items already but she was rude telling me that she doesn't care if I ordered many appetizers because I need to order another set of dumplings. I suggested to put a sign outside if they have such unusual policy so customer will be aware. She pointed me to the counter where there is a small note that is not visible at all. We left, not worth to try! The restaurant needs a customer service training.

Likely the most authentic northern Chinese dumplings! Lots of fillings, large size, made fresh to order. We got some frozen ones to go home after dinning in. Would definitely come regularly.

Really solid dumplings here, very authentically Chinese. Black vinegar and 2 levels of chili oil are offered. Highly recommend the dill dumplings and shrimp + pork

Simple food that just hits the spot every time i go.the woman that owns this place is super kind as well! Really good spot if u want food that feels comforting:) i will definitely keep coming here! <3

Simply to say, Never Again!

First time, went there with my friend without any judgement and relaying on sole experience. It was early dinner (5ish) so only us (great!) The atmosphere was super quiet and awkward. Food is OK. Please bear in mind that all dishes on the menu are NOT available. (Ask her before you are excited to choose)

The owner is NOT friendly at all. The best experience is the owner DEMANDING you pay tips. (No kidding) Although I left my tips on the table, she was so anxious of not getting tips to say "You have to Pay your tips" (TWICE!)

Do you do dumplings? You know, those little pockets of goodness that are oh so tasty? Almost every culture has some kind of similar dish… whether it’s a gyoza, potsticker, perogy, etc… Well, let me tell you about a little spot in Vancouver appropriately called Dumpling House.

Located on Kingsway, this rather nondescrit spot serves up your choice of Northern Chinese style dumplings either boiled, steamed, or pan-fried. I showed up here in mid-March for an early dinner and I was the only one there. The friendly lady that runs the place seemed to be surprised that I knew how to use chopsticks.

I wound up ordering the Chive, Shrimp, and Pork Dumplings ($19 for 18 pcs) and asked for them to be pan-fried. I also ordered the Chili Roasted Eggplant ($7) as a side dish. If you like super tender eggplant, you’ll like this dish. But if you’re one of those people who doesn’t appreciate the somewhat mushy texture of eggplant, you might want to pick another dish.

They provide vinegar sauce at the table and they also have chili that you can add to it to kick things up a notch. The dumplings had a slight crispness to the bottom while the wrapper still retained a bit of chewy goodness before getting into the filling. Speaking of the filling… it was juicy and I accidentally squirted juice all over the table on a couple of occasions. Honestly not sure how I didn’t get the juice all over myself.

Overall, the dumplings are pretty good and there’s a lot of dumpling variations to choose from (albeit they’re all fairly similar). However, being able to specify how they’re prepared makes a difference (ie.boiled vs.steamed.vs pan-fried).

Very good dumplings, nice small menu and good prices. The dumplings were as juicy as soup dumplings.
The owner is very friendly. She was cooking and serving and gave us all the information that we needed about the food. We think she made the dumplings per order so they were as fresh as dumplings can be. She knows exactly what she is doing. The dumplings were simple but incredible delicious. The place is quite (no music) which is a very comfortable difference to most places. We will definitely come again.
I can imagine that the orders might take a while when it is busy - as I read in some reviews - but it is worth it to wait.

Dumplings are fresh and fantastic. I love the thicker, northern style wrapper. The salads are fresh, and the owner is very nice.

We stopped by and ordered the pickled cabbage and pork, as well as the chive and pork dumplings. Delicious! Nicely pan fried, and the chili vinegar dipping sauce is fabulous. Looking forward to going back!

This place is run by one woman army. Very clean and tidy. Waiting time is reasonable. The space is clean and simple kind of gives a old school library feel. This lady is extremely sweet and kind to interact. Being a vegetarian I had limited options to go with yet I could see people who ordered non veg varieties were quite happy with the experience and enjoyed their food and conversations. One time must try!

Outstanding. One person runs the entire place. Compact (only 16 people max). Dumplings are A-mazing. Warmly greeted and excellent Personal service. Good value for money.

Outstanding Dumpling. Owner managed. Small intimate location seats 16 -20 people Fabulous food. Personal service. Reasonable prices. I had the lamb & cilantro dumplings and a crushed cucumber salad.

Delicious juicy perfectly made dumplings at a nice small joint. We got lamb cilantro dumplings and pork shrimp chives dumplings, both the dumplings were really plum and squirted hot delicious soup on every bite. They say that they don't add MSG but frankly MSG being bad is just a myth and that would have made the dumplings even better as we felt that the only thing the dumplings were lacking was a bit of salt. But either way really good dumplings.

I've eaten here and liked the food.
Don't just sit down if no one comes out to seat you. You'll be greeted with a glare if you do.
That last two times I went they had run out of lamb and veggie ones. Two hours before closing. Got the impression that she didn't want to serve me because I didn't wait to be seated. Left and won't be back. Dont need to feel unwelcome when there are many fine and friendly dumpling places nearby. Try Royal Nepal Momo palace for unique Nepalese dumplings and most importantly very friendly and welcoming owners instead.

Such a cool spot. The owner handmakes all of her dumplings and serves it to you herself. She had vegetarian dumplings for people like myself but also a variety of meat ones for my friends. You can also choose the preparation method (boiled, steamed, or pan fried). She also sells frozen dumplings for you to take home!

The dumping inside are very juicy and fresh, love it, strong recommend pickled Chinese cabbage with pork dumping. Abbosolutly will eat here again.

Traditional homemade Chinese dumplings. I looooove. These are the best dumplings I had in town! The lady tried her best to serve quality despite being the only one working in the business. I love it, very heart filling.
