Durant Sessions Main Street

Had to edit this review as I met more of the staff and oh man, every one is just gosh darn wholesome!

I felt so comforted and was treated like family the second I set foot in their shop. It’s a wonderful and welcoming environment they’ve created and they are all truly a gem of this century!

Oh, and the detailed quality and care of each pair of their glasses is honestly…perfection. They really do take the time to create such beautiful work of art.

Stina was amazingly helpful with a pair of glasses I thought were going to be wrecked. She fixed the arms and even suggested the option of replacing the lenses with custom ones they could help me design. The selection of glasses is also amazing. From a persol to Jacques Marie Mage, ray ban and Oliver People’s this is the spot for glasses. Also! You can try all of them on! So if you’re curious about whether JMM were too chunky for you you can find out.

High quality eye wear and fantastic service from the team. Came here during a visit to Vancouver and upgraded my glasses and sunglasses. The team was very attentive and caring and helped me find wonderful pairs from independent brands. The glasses are very polished ans feels very well crafted. They even offered to ship them to me back to the UK. Thank you to the Durant Sessions team!

Excellent place to find a pair of glasses or sunglasses. They have a great selection of frames you won't find elsewhere. Jo and the rest of the staff are professional and friendly, they really go above and beyond with their service.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, I had my glasses broken and Stina gave us a history of the store while fixing the frames. When the bank account allows me I’ll definitely be upgrading to their glasses!

Stinen at Durant Sessions treated me with warmth and presence. She was extremely knowledgeable about frames/glasses and found a style for me that exactly suited my face. She has a great eye and is extremely helpful and kind. Great selection in store.

When I arrived for my appointment, Dr. Lily (presumably) called me back to her office. I found it strange and a little unnerving that she did not introduce herself or ask anything about me. She just acted like we'd met before. The eye exam was the fastest I've ever received. She asked me 4-5 lenses per eye, with very few repeats. I really was not confident that she identified the correct prescription as the exam was less than half the time of any other eye appointment I've had with far fewer comparisons or questions. She stated that I had some sort of chronic condition, and did not explain what that meant or how it could be treated. After the appointment, I inquired about costs for eyewear and found that the pricing on their lenses are significantly more than many other options. I felt like this visit was more about profit than thorough and compassionate patient care.

Love their selection but its the staff that always gets me coming back. Super knowledgeable and friendly. Second to none.

I was avoiding going to Durant as their frames are more on the pricey side. Eventually not finding what I wanted elsewhere, I caved.

I found the staff to be more knowledgeable about fit than other places I went to. Jo was really helpful in selecting frames and had a good eye for what would be my taste and fit my face.

They also performed a no-hassle exchange when I got my first pair of frames home and realized they didn’t work with a new haircut!

Stumbled upon Durant on my way to Hakim Opticals to get my glasses fixed. Jo fixed them up in no time and did an awesome job! Will definitely come back and highly recommend it
