Early Learning Childcare Centre

Make sure you are 100% sure you want your child to attend this centre before you give your deposit. A short while after giving them $500 we decided that a smaller centre would probably be better for our daughter. FIVE months before our daughter’s start date, we let the centre know and they would not even consider giving a portion of our $500 back. I understand administrative fees, but keeping the entire amount seems excessive. I was told they were turning families away, so they wouldn’t have had a problem filling our spot. I signed the agreement, so that is on me, but just a warning for those considering this one.

I am so grateful to Corinne and team for the care they give to our children. We have one child in the 3 to 5 room, and one in the Infant/Toddler room. I love the HiMama app, and can't wait to see the photos of all the fun my little ones get up to during the day while we are apart. We have had many challenging experiences at some other daycares, and it is so relieving to know that my kids are in a place where they are so well cared for.

This childcare facility is amazing! I am blessed to have found them and my daughter is loving it very much. Thank you to Corinne and her wonderful team!

Nothing but positive things to say about The Early Learning Centre. Corinne the owner is very professional and does a great job of keeping everything running smoothly. The teachers are amazing. Very caring and they do a great job of communicating with us. The facilities are clean and there are always lots of fun activities planned for the children. It was such a relief when we found this place for our kids. They love attending!

My son went to a couple other daycares before we were recommended by our social development consultant to consider Early Learning childcare (Westwood) as he was struggling. I met with Corrine, the owner and gave her a heads up about my son and the challenges he was having at his previous daycares. She was very accommodating and willing to give him an opportunity at her facility. This daycare facility has been night and day for me and my son. They are fantastic communicators which I struggled to get from previous facilities. They email you everyday your child attends with a little blurb of what they did with photos. They respond to your messages within an hour and are wonderful caregivers with my son. They are patient, use consistency in learning and correction and they spend quality time getting to know who your kid is. They are always excited to welcome him every morning and he just loves all his teachers. The space is a great size and has 3 different rooms for the kids to play in. They do crafts, circle time and go to the park outside everyday for over an hour. They have a little gym inside with climbing and monkey bars so the kids can get physical activity inside on rainy days too. My son really enjoys going there, has made many friends and his behavior has improved dramatically. It has really helped me to have a daycare facility that treats my son with respect and as a little person learning to navigate his world rather than expecting him to fit in their box. They encourage the kids to be expressive and share their emotions and they have really special relationships with all the kids. I used to get anxiety dropping him off at his previous facility as they always had something bad to say about him but at Early Learning, they always highlight his strengths and work very closely with the parents to ensure everyone is on the same page. We love it here and highly recommend it. We will miss u all when he goes to kindergarten this year!:)

Great 3 to 5 daycare. My son attended and loved going everyday. The owner is great and really cares about the program, she brings in instructors for the kids (karate, dance, etc.). I highly recommend.

My son has been going to this daycare for 3 years now. I have to say, I am forever grateful for Early Learning Childcare Centre. The teachers and owner are so positive and friendly. The facility it’s self is super clean, they have so much room and activities. Their indoor play ground keeps my child active even on rainy days. They all care so much for my child and each teacher has taken her time to get to know him well. I would definitely recommend this child care centre. Five stars!

My Daughter has been at ELCC for 3 years know and I could not be happier, she always talks about how much she loves it there, and how much fun she has. The teachers are caring and kind and she has learned so much being with them. I am so thankful I found this Centre!

I am so happy we have our daughter at ELCC. The teachers are so caring and they have a great variety of planned activities for the children. I do not have to worry while I am at work, as I know she is having fun and receiving excellent care.

My son went to the Coast Meridian location for his infant care before moving over to the 3-5 program in Westwood and my daughter has been on the infant side for the last 2 years and she has loved it. The teachers are fabulous, the program is great, the owner is always quick to respond when I contact her for any reason and I would highly recommend her center's. They are as reliable as reliable gets.

My kids have been going to this daycare for almost a year and I really love this place. I would have to say this is the best childcare in this area. I am very blessed that my son and daughter are cared by this group of people. My kids enjoy being there that is their second home. The staff are very loving and caring people that have taught my kids so much in a very short time! I Cannot say enough for the peace of mind I have when I drop my kids off everyday. They send u daily report of your kids activities, mood, food, nap time with photos! Also each day the kids have new and fun activity that enjoy so much! Really great people, so caring about the kids so supportive, kind, patient! Great place! I absolutely recommend it!

My son has been going to this daycare for over a year now. They know him very well, and genuinely care about his emotions, likes, and needs. I am lucky enough to see them throughout the day because I work so close and all the children are always happy! My son is so lucky to have such great caregivers and friends to play with everyday! It makes my work day easy not having to worry about his well weing. Thank you Westwood infant/toddler!

I witnessed some very shady things upon touring the facility and dropping in, unannounced. The quality of staff leaves a lot to desire. A LOT. I give two stars because they have so many stations and things to do for the kids.

The owner of this establishment fired the manager without cause or notice, presumably because the manager reported a parent who was not giving appropriate care to their child to the ministry. The owner refused to comment to any of the parents that wanted an explanation (as our children loved this person) and has since made the center so unbearable her other GOOD staff are leaving. Be very wary of this place and of its owner, Corrine. She does not care for the children or the parents, only her reputation and the almighty dollar.

We chose ELCC based on great recommendations and excellent reviews. Our 1 year old attended weekly part-time and we are incredibly impressed with all of the hard work and the caring environment that the Westwood team has provided over the past year.

The facility is always clean and inviting, the curriculum caters towards education and play, with many different outings and experiences that we would not be able to provide on our own time. They are vigilant in outdoor activity, trips to the park and walks occur rain or shine, once or twice a day.
All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. Communication between staff and parents is encouraged and any issues are immediately addressed.

We know that he has thoroughly enjoyed his time there and will greatly miss seeing his friends every week. We will return in a year's time with our newest addition, and feel very comfortable and relieved knowing that both children will receive the utmost care and guidance.

Our son have been going to this daycare for 2-1/2 years. We like that he is given a variety of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor activities. We also like the classes they offer such as music, French, karate, yoga and aerobics. The teachers are very kind, friendly and caring. I would highly recommend this daycare.

Our daughter went here for a year and always looked forward to going each day. My wife and I had a great feeling about the owner and the teachers here right from the start. I think this daycare is professional, clean, and a fun atmosphere to be in!
