East Café

East cafe brings a lovely mixture of great drinks, amazing people, and cozy but lively environment. Early morning hours, Thursday night's live music, and jamming takes the whole experience to another level.
At this stage of my life, I cherish the moments I spend in east Cafe. It took me 14 years to find my go-to Cafe in Vancouver.

Shoutout to Josh and team! Amazing atmosphere and honestly I keep going back for the people. Wonderful community cafe that makes you feel like you are at home. So happy to have east cafe in the hastings-sunrise neighborhood.

This spot is just wonderful in every way! Despite my gluten and dairy restrictions, East Van Cafe impresses with fantastic options, especially their reliable vegan, gluten-free pastries – a real lifesaver for someone like me with a gluten allergy. What sets this place apart is not just the delicious treats but also its commitment to the community, with local art and involvement in foundations. The cozy vibes and matching music create a perfect setting for a great time. The service is straight out of a book – you'll have engaging conversations with the super-nice baristas, and even if you're a bit more introverted, you'll feel comfortable. It's truly amazing! (Check out my pics – the carrot cupcake is my absolute favorite!)

The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff is my dream of what a cafe should be! I love that there are vegan options as well. A big thank you to Josh and Sujean for the wonderful and caring service; I will definitely be returning as often as possible!

Got a cruffle which is a croissant pressed in a waffle maker. The whipe cream and syrup /honey was delicious! Great little cafe! The 2 guys that served us were super friendly!

First and foremost, the service here was very good. Some of the best café service I've seen at this level. Just simple hellos, thank yous, and goodbyes with every customer really made this space so inviting. The iced coffee was great and very refreshing. The pop was good and chilled well. I loved the elecktic decor and vibe of this café very much. The art on display was lovely and fostered a sense of creativity throughout the café. Everybody who came with me to the café enjoyed it alot. I will come back in the future.

Rustic cafe with beautiful summer drink selections. Makes you feel like Alice in wonderland

I always come here after the gym or yoga and get the turkey cranberry Brie sandwich, and iced mocha, and some kind of sweet pastry. The sandwich is so good, it’s definitely a comfort food for me, and I’ve tried lots of mochas in the city and this place does the best hands down. The vibe is super cozy and friendly, and the old management was great too but the new owners/managers are so welcoming and friendly it really makes me want to spend all day in here reading. The staff seem like they love their jobs and all the plants and ‘thrifty’ things in this shop make it feel like a little community hub. Love this place.

Friendly service with great hot and summer drinks and good menu for all. Perfect spot for a chill hangout with friends, or to relax, solo on a rainy day

The food was very fresh and tasty, in my opinion, one of the best chocolate croissant I've ever tried. The drinks were very good as well. Very interesting flavours.
The place was very quiet and comfy, I would definitely come back just to enjoy the ambient.
The service was great, they were very nice and attentive.

My absolute favourite cafe In the whole city. If you want to feel like a mysterious main character reading your book and relaxing In a aesthetically pleasing atmosphere this is the place to go. I love their matcha and the pastries and sandwiches are delicious. The only thing I would change is their chai! I used to love it but I think they may have changed powders/concentrate because it is now a bit too spicy and gritty. Overall 10.5/10! Never leave please, East cafe <3

Tried the Nut bar with almond butter (Vegan, Gluten friendly) it was soo yummy! Service also very good!
