I’m a 19 year old boy living on my own, I showed up to Cranbrook Emergency last night due to having a major heart attack, there was one other lady in line waiting, so I quickly said to the nurse I am having a heart attack and need to get in, as I’m trying my very hardest to hold myself up, the pain was a solid 10 or higher, the nurse looks at me and says I understand but you need to wait in line behind the other patients, I said I understand but I’m 100% positive I’m having a heart attack and I’m about to pass out on the floor, the nurse just looks at me with not a care in the world and continue to say, you have to wait in line and this lady in front of you is having minor chest pain and need to get her in now I’m sitting in the chair literally dieing and just could not hold myself together anymore because of the pain, roughly 5-10 mins later after arguing and fighting with the nurses I finally get in and get a bed and get bunch of tests done and got better of course and after getting my results back m, sure enough it was a heart attack I was having and all the nurse told me was you need to cut back the stress in your life, that simple? My biggest concern is the nurses should care way more for there patients and the fact I was fighting to get in because I was having a heart attack, who else do they treat like that? It’s soo damn stupid and very sad to everyone that has major health problems.

I went to Emergency this week, 4 days after a trip/fall injury to my hand. Yes, it is a busy place. Staff were very good! I was kindly acknowledged, and kept informed about my place in triage. When my turn came, the nurses, doctors and imaging staff were respectful and informative. No lectures were given. Considering the renovations underway (doubtless long overdue but not an easy work under pressure best describes it. I was distracted by pain, and thinking of my dear mother-in-law who had passed away 28 years ago in this very place. I am encouraged by the treatment and arrangements for followup I received. Thanks!

Latest appt was at 900 pm so wasn't crowed and was in and out pretty quick. Technician was really friendly as well. Excuse the pun, but "she had great bedside manners".

We were in a major accident on Sunday and the attitude coming out of the nurses who were checking us in was atrocious. I understand you’re all burnt out and you have feelings with this but for the love of god, do it not in-front of people who almost lost their lives. You all need a major class in bedside manner. My biggest complaint was abdominal pain but nothing else of me was checked out. The glass in our legs and arms and my boyfriend head wasn’t removed or cleaned. Absolutely horrible

The way that you have to get a cat scan is ridiculous. You would give someone who has had enough issues to deal with in their stomach, more laxatives just so they can have their stomach scanned. That isn't right. Giving someone who didn't need more issues to deal with, even worse ones after the scan. It is pure cruelty. Top it off, you wont give them another substance to drink? Laxatives is not always the answer for everything you know? It just gives people even worse issues to deal with in the day after being discharged.
