Brian was instrumental in the successful development and start up of our cafe. He worked for us and didn’t once try and upsell.
I consider brian as a fellow employee or friend.
We have not needed them for any repairs, but when diagnosing a problem Fab was more then willing to help us sort it out.

We are extremely happy with our Purchases and will be purchasing from them again when it’s time to upgrade and expand and glad we didn’t make our purchases online.

We love our Nuova Simonelli espresso machine and Mythos Grinder but we love the support that ECM gives.

Exceptional Service - We loved our Sacco espresso machine but it was starting to break down. We thought all was lost but ECM came to our rescue. They were able to replace a few parts and now it should be good for another 4-5 years. Many thanks to our hero Mariano!

My Ascaso was put out to pasture recently and I decided to check out ECM for the replacement. From the first interchange with Brian, it was clear to me I was speaking with someone who knew coffee and what goes behind making excellent espresso.

Brian did a fantastic job of explaining my options and the features of the units even though it was close to the end of the day on a Friday, everyone was happy to assist with the sale. What I appreciate most is that it made no difference to him what machine I was considering, he would explain the features of each and let me choose. No pressure. Nice!

I purchased a Simonelli Oscar II. A splurge with a Simonelli grinder to boot (there was a promotion) and there were even extras I didn't expect.

While happy with the service on the web and over email. I am thrilled with the in person and after sales service. That to me is what makes such a difference.

We have had this lovely machine for a month and a half and the unit makes amazing coffee. I am the king of coffee again. LOL. Today (Saturday) however, I was doing the regular maintenance and had an issue with the cleaning process on the machine. I had Brian's card from when I bought the machine. Brian wasn't available and even though I didn't leave a message. Brian called me right back, recalled the machine I bought and explained some of the behaviour of the machine to help me with the cleaning cycle in future. Again, happy to help. He could have easily ignored my call. I didn't leave a message. But he wanted to help.

You can't buy service like that. I comes from people who are passionate about what they do. Thanks Brian!

I went in with my machine which usually means drop it off but they stopped what they were doing and took 30 minutes to replace a small seal after we went through the machine. Amazing! I left with my coffee maker in hand. Polite, extremely knowledgeable, and simply THE best place to get any repairs on your machine. Very happy with these guys.

Discovered ECM on a sidestreet. My problems were treated fairly and I was back using my old Saeco Aroma to produce crema every morning.

2017 Fixed my machine for free while I waited. I will definitely purchase my next machine from here when the time comes.

2021 update, well our now 18 year old Saeco has finally packed it in. Rory was extremely thorough spending 40 minutes trying to diagnose the old Italia machine and the probability of successful outcome before taking it in for repairs. Unfortunately the old machine was beyond a lasting repair.

As a caffeine addict I knew I could not leave without a working coffee machine. Rory handed me off to John in sales to compare which machine would be best for our families caffeine needs. 90 minutes of asking questions tasting coffee's and comparing features I confidentially decided on another Saeco machine, this time the Xelsis. It's been almost a week with the new machine and all I can say is I wish our our old machine broke sooner, the Xelsis is an absolutely amazing easy to use/program fully automatic coffee machine. Thank you ECM.

We did a fairly extensive kitchen renovation when we moved into our house 14 years ago. Our Gaggia Titanium Super Automatic Espresso Machine is - hands down - the BEST of all of the new appliances we purchased all those years ago. We are now at >26,000 coffees made! Thank you Fabio & the ECM team for the service/repairs over the years. Our girls are already claiming who gets our machine when we eventually buy a new one. Mille Grazie!

Our Oscar Simonelli II quit working. The water didn't infuse. We considered this a major crisis; being without our beloved espresso during the Pandemic. I phoned our Vancouver ECM outlet and were happy to find out their service department was open. I took Oscar in and talked to the technician, Fabio. He said he was certain he knew what the problem was. Rather than putting it in the service queue (2 week wait), he replaced the faulty part in 10 minutes, and didn't charge the labour fee. Excellent service! Thank you Fabio.

Excellent personalized service! I have been buying my espresso makers here for close to 20 years. Their friendly staff patiently explain each machine, prepare wonderful coffee for you to taste the results. When one of my machines needed servicing, it was efficiently handled. Wow! In the service industry and Davids service blew me away. These days that is so refreshing. Although i have used ecm commercially before this was for me on a personal. I explained to David that I was from out of town and timing, ferries etc was a challenge and we needed to tie things together to make it trip out of it etc. Not to mention that we were dying without our machine. He was able to expedite the process and tie it in with our next trip to the city. Not to mention that he made us two great lattes while we were organizing things. Outstanding and thanks!

I have been going to ECM for 15 plus years for my equipment and coffee. It never fails to amaze how helpful and knowlegeable the staff is. I had a problem with my espresso maker this morning and as most can appreciate we live in a world where the loss of our coffee in the morning causes great angst! I took my machine into ECM and Kody fixed it on the spot, told me how to trouble shoot the problem in the future and gave me great advice on a new machine as well! Establishments where you get this kind of service and knowledge are far an few between these days. I highly reccomend ECM for all of your coffee related needs!

Brought my Breville OracleTouch Cappuccino machine in as the portafilter basket won't engage. Kody the repair specialist was very cheery and pleasant. He diagnosed the problem right away and patiently explained what could have happened and how to fix it in the future. He also applied some lubricant on the portafilter to make it work smoother.
After fixing the machine, he then took the time to make some coffee to make sure everything works properly.
We even asked him some questions on crema level and he patiently explained the chemical relationship between the type of beans, the temperature of the portafilter and the coarseness of the grind; and even explained to us the difference between the different bean they have in stock.
He should have been the sales person as well as the person who sold me the machine never told me half of the things Kody told me.
Now I can truly enjoy a real good cup of coffee.

I had a repair job & could tell as early as the first phonecall that I'd found the right place. Kody was fast & friendly on the phone - giving me real confidence that he would solve the problem. And he did. The price was excellent, the service was speedier than the chart indicated it would be. And when I had questions, Kody was overflowing with useful answers - even to questions I hadn't asked yet. I really feel like I know my machine now - and it runs perfectly.

Our 2002 Gaggia Classic machine had stopped working so I took it in for servicing. When I explained the problem, Kody offered to take a quick look. He opened up the machine, had a hunch on the diagnosis, quickly identified the part that had failed, had a replacement part in stock and immediately fixed the machine. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Great service, very fair billing - and offered some good advice on replacement machines when the time comes. 5 Stars!

We had a small problem with a water leak in our 9 year old machine that we had purchased from ECM. Kody in the service dept took our machine (no appointment - we just dropped in with it). He was very knowledgable and diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it while we waited. Wow! What excellent customer service. I will continue to recommend ECM.

I visited the repair desk with a heavy heart that it would probably take a couple of months before I could take home our beloved Oracle. Yet, the true oracle is Cody who assured me that if I was willing to try, the problem was something I could repair at home. Cody showed me what I had to do on a machine that was already on his bench. He gave me the replacement parts I needed to install and sent me home in good cheer.

In completing the task I ran into two challenges. Cody supported my efforts both on the phone and in person (I was defeated by a particular clip) not knowing his solution involved a hemostat he had procured following his own struggles with that clip.

In twenty five years of owning a variety of espresso machines I have never met anyone kinder and more effective as a mentor as Cody and recommend the ECM service desk without reservation.

We took our 10 year-old machine to ECM for service and the correction of a leak. Kody evaluated the machine and gave us a useful and detailed tutorial in how to improve our coffee drinking experience. We were warned that the full service that we needed would take three weeks, and were delighted to find that it took only three days. This was a good experience, under the estimate, and well ahead of schedule. We benefit from the expert advice and the reliable service.

I have been going to ECM for 13 years since I bought my beloved Oscar there. Their service department is so friendly, competent and a pleasure to deal with. It's so nice to deal with obviously happy staff members like David who have been there as long as I've been going. Last month I took my Oscar in for an overhaul. I feel confident in asking them to replace and check everything they think needs doing. I had some work done but had a problem when I got it back home. When I returned Enric looked at it and saw the problem and fixed it for free as he said he had missed something. New steam wand that works better than the last one. Microfoam heaven! Good job guys. Love this shop.

David was a great help to me and quickly found out what the problem was with our expresso machine while I enjoyed a cup of coffee. I was able to take the machine home with me (no one wants to be without their machine) and there was no charge. Can't get better than that. Thanks David

I returned to ECM with a refurbished espresso maker that we'd purchased to tide us over while our bigger, better machine was being repaired, and to use in our very small office. I wanted to see if we could use pods with that machine so it would be easier for other staff to make coffee without tamping.
As always, we had prompt, extremely informative service. Kody tried a number of work-arounds to see if he could make it pod compatible. He couldn't, because it wasn't designed for that, but in the meantime he discovered a small flaw that was stopping the machine from sealing properly. By the next morning, he'd fixed the flaw, and had improved and adjusted the small machine's performance by many degrees, all under warranty. The next morning I got an excellent crema and previously I'd only managed a mediocre, meh crema.
When you buy a machine (espresso or grinder) at ECM, you also buy a service team that does its best to help you get the very best coffee out of that machine and does it in a clear helpful way. I never feel up-sold, and always come away knowing a bit more than I did before.
Like, how to tell if your coffee beans have been properly roasted! Did you know that if you use poorly roasted beans the oils will gum up your grinder and your espresso machine? Well I didn't! That's not really their job, to educate me, but they do it every time.
And I really appreciate it. If you love coffee and you're looking to purchase any equipment, or have them do a repair, I'd go there, no question, hands down!

I originally purchased my Nuova Simonelli Musica from ECM about 6 years ago. Recently, I had to return it for a comprehensive service (normal wear and tear from daily use). There were quite a few worn parts (steam wand, various valves, boiler replaced due to hard water).

ECM tech staff (especially Fabrizio) were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. They restored the machine to full working order and also improved its peeformance thanks to commercial grade parts and new configuration settings. They even took my Mahlkonig grinder and regular coffee beans in to test the finished machine thoroughly before returning it to me.

Very impressed with the level of service, attention to detail and reasonable service and parts charges. I highly recommend ECM!

Hey people,
I run a coffee shop in Vancouver for last 12 years and we use ECM service for our equipments for last 4 years. They are wonderful people to work with them and I recommend ECM for everyone I know.
Last week my espresso machine stop working around 4: 00 pm and I called Fabrizio for repair. He was at our store @5: 00 pm in an hour on the weekend.
It was amazing somebody come to fix your espresso machine I one hour on the weekend. I was very happy with the service I got from ECM. Thank you again Fabrizio. You are very professional at your work and also a good and helpful person to contact ECM.
