Our team booked a private cooking class for our work Christmas party and it was such a great experience! Chef Valentine was very accommodating with our needs and any dietary restrictions. The food prepared was delicious and we all learned something new to take into the kitchen. I highly recommend Eden West Gourmet for a cooking class or any of your specialty shopping needs. My mom and I took the Christmas Cookie Decorating class the past weekend, while it was fun it was not as expected. It was more of a cookie BAKING class than decorating. We thought we’d be learning techniques and how to use Royal icing, food paint, fondant, etc. But instead it was about 2.5hrs of baking. We never even got to baking or decorating our gingerbread cookies. By the time there was 30mins left of the class, we finally started to decorate the cookie designs the chief was going to show us. We had no time to decorate our own cookies we baked or ask for tips and tricks/learn how to really frost our cookies. Luckily we were allowed to stay an extra 45mins to get in a bit of decorating, but if we had plans after we wouldn’t have been able to and would’ve walked about with 2 cookies half decorated. While it was a fun experience, it was not as expected. If your goal is to learn how to decorate and learn techniques, I would skip this particular class. Chief Sue was very kind though, just bummed about the lack of actual cookie decorating.

One of the best experiences EVER! Learning new delicious recipes, tastings and shopping! A foodies dream come true! And I learned so many things I had never known before!

I took the Sourdough Workshop sourdough with Chef Valentine Kitamura and it was amazing. As a vegan, I am not able to take many classes there but Chef Valentine Eden West is extremely accommodating and even bought vegan cheese and hummus for my charcuterie plate. I think the thing that I love the best about how Chef Valentine presents her classes, is that while she is clearly an expert in her field, she has no ego in her delivery and makes novices feel extremely at ease and comfortable in a kitchen environment.

Attended Chef Romy’s seafood class and so enjoyed it! The food was delicious, and I learned several new “kitchen tips”. Pleasant relaxed, inviting ambience. In the shop, I found a spice I had been searching for! I will certainly be attending more classes in the future.

Went for a cooking class here with Chef Glenn's Morgan, themed for ST. Patrick's day. A really fun night, amazing food and lots of tips and tricks from the chef. We bought a few things from the shop, to try later. Excellent selection in the shop. Would return. A perfect idea for date night!

I took my sister here for her birthday dinner and it was such a great experience. The chef and staff were very nice. We got to sample some of the items in the store which was really nice while we waited for the main. We did the vegan class and the food was great, really easy to remake at home which I love. Definitely need to do this again!

Not sure why this place is so highly rated since I just had the worst experience. I got sick the night before with covid and decided to do the responsible thing by not attending. I asked for a refund and got rejected. I then asked to change the date, again rejected. I was told the only thing they could do was put someone else in my place. My mother was the only person available to attend but since she is gluten free she could not taste any of the food she made and was then told she couldn't even take it home. This has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. How dare you charge so much and not even let people take home what they've made? ! I will be sure to tell everyone of my horrible experience.

Such a fantastic experience attending the French cuisine demonstration for Valentine’s Day! The food was incredible, Valentine was a perfect host, and we got to stay away from busy restaurants on Valentine’s Day. My husband and I will be coming back for sure, as it was a fantastic evening. Thank you Eden West and staff, it made for a perfect Valentine’s Day!

My boyfriend and I attended the Valentine’s Day cooking class with Chef Valentine. The class was great! The food was delicious, the recipes were simple and easy to follow, and Chef Valentine was very engaging. We will definitely be making the dishes that we learned how to cook at home and we would love to attend another class in the future. Thanks for a great experience!

We had the pleasure of taking a French Bistro cooking class with Valentine! Not only is she from France but she is an exquisite chef who definitely knows how to cook French cuisine. The menu will be incorporated into our own cooking and cannot wait to have family and friends over to show what we’ve learned. Definitely recommend Eden West for a cooking class and date night! I recently attended the Peru cooking class event and it was outstanding! Loved the experience so much, got to sample some delicious food, and enjoyed shopping in the store during our break. Can’t wait for my next class!

Had an excellent time at Eden West Gourmet! We went for the Robbie Burns class and it was so much fun. Chef Glenys was very informative and also very funny, which made for a great evening of learning. The food was delicious, and it was a cool opportunity to try things I wouldn't have normally thought about trying.

What a fun class and so close to my new home. We were given the Date Night in a French Bistro class as a gift and what fun it was. Chef Valentine was super engaging and the food she made the class was fantasique!

What an awesome experience! A great hidden gem in Port Moody. Chef Glenys and the owner did a great job with their Greek cooking class, making a delicious meal and keeping it fun and light hearted for everyone! Would highly recommend taking one of their cooking classes.

No photos - too busy eating. Had the prime rib which was fantastic. Ate some food usually wouldn’t eat and it was all delicious. Informative chef and fun atmosphere.

This is my 3rd cooking class at Eden West Gourmet. I keep coming back because it’s always a wonderful experience: the Chefs create amazing dishes, share the history of each dish, showcase how they are made and what potential substitutes can be used.

It doesn’t hurt that on the break you can shop for any ingredients you will need to recreate the dishes at home.

Can’t wait to see what classes you’ll have for 2023!

My friend and I went for a Vegan feast and it was the best time! I was prepared to eat great food but what I didn’t know is how much FUN it was going to be! Chef Valentine is outgoing, entertaining and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a cooking class for a night out. And now I can’t wait to share these recipes with my loved ones. Thanks Valentine for a wonderful night!

My daughter and I attended the Holiday Appies class with Chef Glenys and we had a wonderful night! The appies were delicious and Chef Glenys is a wealth of both information and inspiration! Will definitely do another class! Thanks to Maria too for all the energy and hospitality! Merry Christmas!

My wife bought me a French Cooking Class online as a gift - I always wanted to learn French cuisine. Going to Eden West Gourmet surpassed my expectations! The staff is kind and knowledgeable. The clientele is? And the food is.

Really enjoyed my first cooking class at EWG with Chef Valentine! Was such a lovely evening full of innovative cooking tips, delicious food and great company. Had fun learning easy to follow (but very unique and creative) recipes and, most of all, getting to try each meal after the demonstration! Very welcoming environment. Left feeling very inspired to get creative in the kitchen. Will definitely be back for more classes. (: Highly recommend to anyone who wants to spice things up in the kitchen and discover their new favourite recipe!

Went to the Brioche Bread class where Chef Valentine introduced us to 4 different recipes! The charcuterie board provided during the demo was 5/5. Would definitely recommend any courses offered by this company. Great experience all around!

We had a blast learning to make sourdough with Chef Valentine! This was a team building event and everybody enjoyed it. I highly recommend taking a workshop at Eden West Gourmet, it's totally worth it!
