Edmonds Return-It Depot

I do not like this Korean group running this return it depot. If you ask questions, they will talk behind you and also, right in front of you in Korean. My wife speaks and understands basic level Korean and with their tone and mumbling, we knew they were bickering about us. When my wife asked in Korean, “what? Is something wrong? ” They fumbled and said nothing nothing. It was hilarious.
They will always count less and it is embarrassing that we’ll have to argue about 10-20 cents.
Another highly objectionable act is that they don’t accept certain tetra packs and bottles, which is fine, but they will not return it to us but without even asking, very quickly dump them in a bin that they have kept right next to the cashier counter. You’d be embarrassed to ask for them as you could take them to Safeway or other stores where you bought them from and get the refund, but these lowly guys will keep it in the bin making it embarrassing for you to ask them back, and they will return them to stores and keep that refund in their pocket. Very cheap act and even though I know it or others may have noticed it, we will not say anything as it’s just a cheap act and even cheaper and embarrassing to point it out and start a quarrel for 30-50 cents.
It’s always stinky-wet and dirty.
I went with my counted bottles and tetra packs of 71 but I received $6 and 10 cents. Where did the rest one dollar went? I didn’t think it’s worth arguing about it as I gave them the alms they “want” by counting less. Interestingly, they will never count extra, but will always undercount. Shame!
I lived in Korea for 11 years and I know Koreans are not this cheap. But this group of Korean guys running this return-it depot are as cheap and dirty as the inside environment seems and smells like.

Very good facility, helpful staff, quick and efficient. Lots of free street parking is available.

The building is rather small, so when it gets busy it gets full of people throwing carts everywhere. It is stinky there, however staff is friendly and fast. It says it closes at 5, however, today the gate was closed at 4: 40

There are limited carts and sorting stations, availability depends on how busy it is when you arrive.
Staff are very quick to count and collect the returns after you have sorted them.
Sorting area has enough space to move around in, again, this depends on how busy it is when you arrive.

This place gets busy. Friendly staff and accurate counts. Never had a problem with them and haven't been cheated either. They've got a sink and stuff to wash your hands after you dump all your cans, bottles, jugs, and whatnot into their bins. Also listed is the deposit return for each different type of item you give them. Try and get your milk jugs compressed ahead of time although you should already be doing this to conserve some space in your bags.

The location of the clothing donation box is very dangerous! I have a really bad fall today, the pathway is all made with large stones which is uneven and slippery! It shouldn’t be placing there! Today is not even a raining day, I can’t imagine what will happen if an elderly going on there! NOT SAFE!

The place is clean and the staff is helpful. I was able to collect 12.90 today. Some people told me that other return-it depot doesn’t require seggragation of softdrinks in can and the alcohol drink in can. Nevertheless, my exprerience today is great

If you want to refund here, be careful about the money! Calculate yourself before the payment and count the money you receive. They don’t accept their mistake too. Horrible place.

Is the owner a Korean young guy? He is very rude. There are so many reviews complaining about his attitude. But the glasses-wearing staff who is older than the Korean guy is nice and patient.

Don't come right before 5pm. We just tried to access their service but the guy turned us away at 4: 45pm on Tuesday Jan 3.
