Eldho’s Your Independent Grocer

Unlike many orders I've had from Loblaws in bigger cities, this one went flawlessly. All items I ordered were available, and the store staff was very courteous and helpful when I arrived to pick it up. Well done.

As an out of towner staying at a local establishment for a few business trips this place was perfect. Deli has panini samwiches premade that they warm up for you - good for a quick meal and only $8CA. Ham & cheese and Italian were really good. Turkey came in last place. Store is always clean and seems to have enough staff too.

Good variety of groceries especially sauces, spices, and international foods, produce is usually excellent, good selections of meat, they have a Joe Fresh section and a decent homewares area and a large bath & body section as well as a decent health food area. Also a seasonal area and large pet isle

This particular independent was extremely expensive I bought sandwich ingredients for 6 sandwiches and a 12 pack of iced tea and it cost over $60 at that price its almost parallel to eating at a moderately priced restaurant

Variety of products available. But the prices are on the higher side. You will have very limited range of items for different categories.
The staff is not at all friendly. Specially the manager behave is too rude even though they are at fault.
I do not recommend it for shopping. Save On Food is much much much better option in Stade. Very polite and friendly staff and very good quality products available with very lucrative features like "Rain Check".

The fernie independent is the most useless grocery store and pharmacy all in one. From ruin and useless employees to a pharmacy who has standards half the time but not the other. Your money is better spent at another store where you can receive actual help from people who care.

Seem to have problems maintaining stocks of staples. Store organisation is a bit haphazard and scruffy.

Okay apples from independent are garbage. Every GAH DAYM time I buy these red things they squishy as heck. Im tired of the discrepancy of quality apples at this establishment. Put one in my lunch everyday just to be disappointed at 1pm when its apple time. I swear they just paint these old apples a perfect glossy red

I have to constantly monitor receipts because they double up items almost every time I shop at this store, often selling expired groceries

Quick run in to get some water and fill a prescription while camping. Clean store, friendly staff.

Bought some mango juice boxes, took one sip and tasted off. It expired a year ago, brought back got a refund. The next week I was in there and saw the same expired mango juice boxes still on the shelf. Last night bought ice-cream for 5.99 rang through for 6.99. I told the lady at customer service. She went to check the price and told me Halo Top ice-cream was 6.99. I took her to the freezer where the Halo Top was and showed her it was in fact 5.99. She wasn't even looking at the right brand. Got annoyed and changed the price at the self check out but was obviously mad by the way she swiped her card and pressed the buttons. Was pretty rude. Always check expiry dates and prices at that store.

This store has supplied re-usable bags which we thought were excellent, cashier was efficient and friendly. Love this store wish it had more meat selection.

While the store is clean and generally well-stocked, the till staff is the slowest, least efficient and least cheerful in the valley. They don't greet you, act like bagging groceries is beneath them, and can't even be bothered to put the filled bags near the end of the counter so customers can grab them to put in the cart. Poor training, or poor conditions making them miserable? Don't know, but either way, it makes for a bad experience.

My go-to grocery store in Fernie for the best selection of products and friendly staff! They are bringing in a good selection of local produce.

Found everything I was looking for at a reasonable price, and the staff and cashiers are all friendly and very helpful.

Very frustrating. Often have problems with inaccurate pricing on shelves and sale prices not charged at checkout. Always have to check receipt. Not worth the agravation. Have had enough. Probably done shopping there.

Same set us as a no frills only independently owned! Great produce.deli.meats.bakery.hust a smaller superstore!

Good quality, but not as robust as an American supermarket, which only matter because we're calling and needed more than just food.

This place was great. I love that they have some fashion items also, that's always a great thing to have. Their store is well organized and easy to navigate. And I also love that they now have self checkouts! Definitely helps when I only have a few items.

I get lunch here almost every day. The food is great, prices are better and the staff is super friendly.

It's good for most things, but unless you catch the fresh produce the morning it's placed out, there isn't much left by the afternoon. It's right off the highway so lots of traveling public stop there when they go camping and such.

Shelves are empty n if there not empty the produce is old, meat counter has been empty with very limited selection only one person running the deli n lunch counter customer service sucks employees are miserable and would prefer you to use the self check outs
Why do I continue to go back.well with only 2 grocery stores in Fernie I go to the cheaper one. I'd rather shop out of town

Big and bright store with good selection of groceries and a large deli with lots of take out options

My wife bought a diabetes sensor there and prior to her purchase needed to use the washroom badly and their reply was, sorry we don’t have any public washrooms and ended up relieving herself and having to change her clothes when she got back home. Not happy and unacceptable!

Selection and staff of the grocery part are great. But needs more staff in the pharmacy. I waited for 25mins for a non prescription item from behind the counter and still left without it because the pharmacist was standing around talking and doing nothing
