Elkford Lodge

This is a camp that lodges workers for not 1 but MULTIPLE MULTI MILLION $$$ MINES. Other than a more then usual, relaxed atmosphere, it was the worst work camp I've bin 2. Beds are atrocious, food is terrible (especially the pre-made lunchs), the rooms smell like B. O.
Why are these HUGE companies like Teck cheaping out so much? And pple wonder why less and less of the younger generation don't want to get into these trades. Your quality of life goes right down the drain.

This camp is dirty including the rooms and each wing has its own distinct foul smell.
Mold on the fabric shower curtains and around windowsills. Sheets are stained and don’t even look like they have been washed.
No towels are provided. Beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Jack and Jill bathrooms are never nice. The chef is ignorant but the food is okay minus the handful of sandwiches I had that were made with moldy bread.
The amount of security for this little camp is ridiculous. The wifi and reception is okay depending on what wing you’re in.
It’s surprising to me that Teck would even associate their name with this place. So happy I won’t be back!

Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Best camp I ever been too but it's my first camp so technically it's also the worst camp I been too.

Two stars is being generous. Tiny room, Jack & Jill bathroom. Didn’t eat the food, coffee was okay

I give the kitchen 5 stars.but bring your own towels and stuff to clean your room. Pillows and maybe a memory foam for your bed. I hate to give a bad review but the housekeepers are overwhelmed because there are not enough of them so ill say that.but its not a clean environment ESPECIALLY with the viruses and germs going around.many are sick. 2 quarantined in my dorm.

Leave your shoes on at all times. I couldn't explain enough to tell anyone about the floors in the dorm hallways.

Beautiful area and Wild Life. The "Town of Elkford rocks.
Lots of things close by, golf, water. A few restaurants and pubs. Horses across the road, Elk walking through the parking lot.

Beds sag because so many people have slept in them, causing the worst back pain during the most uncomfortable sleep you'd have since your kidney stones were removed. Be ready to assure your significant other that you’re being treated fairly after the security tries to kick you out for a “dirty room”. Thats IF the wifi is strong enough considering their router is made from two sticks and a pop can wrapped in copper wire. Imagine a worse version of The Office, but it’s old security guards that want to feel alive like it’s 1967 again. Some of the food is alright but most of it is gourmet dog food at best. Enjoy your stay!

Camp is camp. This one gets 3 stars for cleanliness as it is hit and miss, my room didn't get swept or mopped for my 2 week hitch so I did it myself. The food isn't bad and for a small kitchen there are actually fairly decent choices. 3.5 stars for that. The best thing is that you aren't locked in like other camps. Want to go biking? Trails all over. Want to golf? Course is just 250yds North. Like to see mountains.just step out the doors. 5 stars for that.

The food is better than most camps I've been to in the last couple years. The beds are more comfortable than most too. The staff have been nothing but friendly. Only downside is the small gym and that the recreation area is taken up by the covid test station.

Regular camp lyfe living camp. The mattress' absolutely suck. Bring your own linen, pillows and blanket. The soap detergent gives your skin rashes.
The food is ok to whatever. All the fish nights are awesome though. Wish you could eat chicken and fish every day and have a salad bar where you can serve yourself
