Ellwood Park Animal Hospital

We originally switched to Ellwood when Dr Mueller moved from Cottonwood over there and we absolutely love it! We have since seen Dr O’Blenis and Dr Neville, and we have been so impressed with all of their knowledge, attentiveness, kindness and expertise.

Lincoln, like most dogs, is scared and worried at the vet, but all 3 doctors have gotten down to his level to try to get him comfortable and show him some love.

This month he’s had a few sicknesses, and Dr Neville has been responsive, calming and extremely helpful. I trust this clinic through and through and can’t recommend them enough! Plus the front staff are very friendly and helpful too, which is just the cherry on top! Bring your fur babies here and they will be cared for as if they were their own:)

This was my first time here and I saw Dr Neville who has looked after my pets at other offices. The staff were friendly and efficient. The advice from Dr Neville was spot on as always. The staff quickly produced an estimate with a low and high figure as to the treatment needed. If you are looking for a new veterinarian for your pets, give this office a try.

I have recently switched vets to Elwood Park from a friends a recommendation. I’ve had nothing but a great experience and my dog is not as anxious going there. They are so wonderful with the pets. My dog just had his dental cleaning & I’m so grateful for the care they take. As someone who is willing to travel from out of town to go I highly recommend!

Ended up cancelling my appt, but interaction over phone was very pleasant and did not feel rushed.

Ellwood Park has been my vet for the last 15yrs even after moving out of city I still choose to go to them. The front desk staff and vets are all amazing, very knowledgeable and compassionate. We love Dr. Engle she is very good at her job and she always takes great care of my dog when I bring her in!

I worked as a vet assistant (different clinic) for a time, and really struggled to find somewhere to take my cats that I trusted. Ellwood came recommended and I'm very glad we went! My male cat was so relaxed the whole exam, he loved the vet and even had a snooze on the scale. Dr. Mueller was very gentle and communicative. Both our cats were fixed at Ellwood. Cats healed perfectly and the team at Ellwood supported us the whole process. Highly recommend.

Friendly and caring staff and doctors. Not sure if my cats love it but I do. Easy communication and super fast response by email.

I just adopted a dog and took her to Ellwood for a first visit. Due to COVID pet parents wait outside during the exam and then the vet will call and go over the results over the phone. Dr Snopek was incredible! He stayed on the phone nearly 20 minutes answering all my questions and going over the exam thoroughly. The next day, unluckily, my new pup got into an altercation with my cat and needed to be seen as an emergency. I called a few vets/hospitals closer to me and nobody would see her. Not only did Dr. Kelly at Ellwood stay LATE to see her, they waited while I fought through rush hour traffic and were incredibly kind and took excellent care of my sweetheart. They are the real deal here at Ellwood! I can't thank the wonderful techs and vets enough for their professional care and kindness. It's an extra 20 minutes for me to drive here than other vets in Abbotsford but it's well worth it in the long run and I won't be going anywhere else!

All the staff are so friendly, polite & patient. Dr. Dean is so kind & compassionate. Such a great team of professionals.

Our dog Marley had a swollen spot on the side of her nose & the vet suggested some antibiotics to see if that would take care of it. It did!
Thankful the first suggestion wasn’t to remove it.

This is our 10th year with Ellwood Park Animal Hospital with our 4 fur-babies. Make special trip to visit there each time but never regret

Dr. O'Blenis is an excellent Veterinarian and her and the staff are very caring and compassionate.

Great compassionate care. Dr. Kelly is very kind and caring, her love for animals had me won day 1. She was great all the way thru with my dog. I highly recommend these folks everyone was amazing during our difficult time. Thanks for all that you guys did for us.

The vets here are decent, the main vet who runs the hospital is rare to connect with while there. They're pricey as well. I have two dogs and a cat and have spent quite a bit of money here. All in all they've been good so far but could use improvement as far as giving people who spend alot of money there a bit of a break on minor things like cultures etc.

MUST READ: I brought a claim against Ellwood Park Animal Hospital through the CRT for the lack of communication I received as an owner.

My cat died last December after having an endoscopy procedure at Ellwood Park. As I did not have an expert witness, specifically another veterinarian to support the claim, it was dismissed. A complaint to the College of Veterinarians of B. C.is on going.

Ellwood Park is a clean facility and I would recommend them for basic, simple checks.

I would NOT recommend them, if your animal has to be put under and you are spending thousands of dollars. There are other animal hospitals that have the equipment and time to monitor your animal, such as the AEHFV in Langley.

Elwood offered a refund for the procedure, but this was not my goal. It was about duty of care and client communication. I hope my actions brought awareness to Elwood Park and they have implemented changes.

Took our 2 puppies in for their last set of shots.the staff was super friendly and seemed to know what they were doing/talking about.plus the dogs loved them which makes life easy would definitely recommend

The staff was great. Diagnosed our dog spot on. They like pit bulls too. Some say their prices are higher. I say you get what you pay for and i think the expertise here is better than other Animal clinic we have been to in the area.

Great service, great people. Been taking two animals here for at least the past 5 years with absolutely no issues.

They took good care of our dog, they were open and willing to listen to what you have to say. They seemed knowledgeable on area specific illnesses as well as general dog stuff

Awesome vet, our cat had a lump and we had it removed, and the care and surgery was very clean painless and well executed, all post op was great and the cat is recovering great.

Best Vet! They take their time and explain everything really well. You can just tell that they love animals - they care for your pets as if they were their own.

Excellent clinic. We moved to Abbotsford recently from a city in which we had an excellent vet for 30 years and we're delighted to have found a clinic in which we have the same trust as our old one. Excellent reception service and pet care.
