Elysian Coffee

I absolutely love this coffee shop as the staff here makes it the best one in the whole neighborhood, they are lovely! Their manager Clement has this spot super tidy and everyone one the team Terri, Sharon, Jady, Ellie & Alejandro make the best coffee.

I saw the reviews and had to try the Elysian for myself while in Vancouver recently. Anything in their pastry case is a winner, sweet, or savory. The Rosemary Egg muffin scores a 10. Tasty, filling, it was just right. The Berry scone is also a treat: not too sweet, letting the berries be the star of the show. The staff was very pleasant, the patrons like old friends. It's definitely a spot to return.

My preference in drip coffee tilt is a little roastier than Elysian's, but the cup was satisfying. After all, I came for the pastries.

An old favourite that I hadn’t gotten around to reviewing. Top-class coffee, and you’ve got to try the shortbread. The breakfast sandwiches are also excellent, but may vary slightly according to time and store location.

Elysian seems like sanctuary amid the bustle that is St Paul’s downtown hospital. Surrounded by doctors and other healthcare workers wanting a moment of calm to themselves. Or they could be there for the excellent coffee and pastries!
I had a Costa Rica drip coffee - medium roast, smooth with low acidic notes. The raspberry danish was crispy and so yummy.

Great coffee spot! Be sure try their homemade almond milk. It is only sweetened with dates and has no oils added.

Felt very rushed at this location to place my coffee order. As I was telling the lady how I wanted my coffee she was rushing to tell me how much it would cost before I added in extra shots of espresso, then when I tried asking for oat milk and the third time she tried to tell me how much the total bill was I was still adding one more thing to my coffee. I understand they’re busy but getting rushed like that when a person is paying over $10 for their coffee and are pretty much expected to tip in the city. I am not sure if I will come back to this location. I prefer the location on Broadway, also busy but the staff are nice.

Needed a coffee before heading into St Paul's Hospital right across the street - convenient location for this & they are open early.
Had a berry/nut/sugar crumble muffin of some sort. Both coffee & muffin were delicious & fresh. Pic was a little late lol
Service was great. Friendly.
Laid back for the most part - HOWEVER - I had read reviews this cafe had a nice atmosphere, calm music etc. I thought perfect. It was 7 am & the music was so loud. Opposite of calming, very upbeat EDM (normally I like this music, but C'mon that should be played a little later in the afternoon IMHO), was with my mum who also didn't enjoy that. It was still a little too chilly to sit on the patio to escape it.

Could've been a one off on who was selecting the music that morning.just a little feedback to consider.

Otherwise great little spot!

My favourite location in Vancouver. It is a calming space to grab a coffee and something to eat, especially when visiting the hospital.
The team here are always pleasant and kind, and that is so very much appreciated in times of hospital traumas.
The pastries are always fresh, and sells out most days, so guaranteed freshness every time.

The coffee is creamy strong, tasty.

Although busy, there always seems to be a seat opening up when I arrive.

The Shortbread cookies are to die for! Omg they are the best I have ever tasted, ever! And the cookies too.

I literally go to this coffee shop every day and it is ALWAYS great. Great service from the staff, delicious coffee, and tasty pastries. Don’t bother going to any other coffee shop I the area cuz this one is it!

Wasn't going to review because there's enough great ones, theres nothing else to say. But yes yes yes, coffee is great, food is yummy, staff friendly and easily approachable.
If you're not a coffee connoisseur, feel free to ask.
Also, when you order grilled cheese, ask for ketchup, it's the BEST homemade ketchup!

Great coffee and baking, love the atmosphere and good people watching from the cafe or patio. One of my go-to’s for sure.

Elysian is such a cool place to just chill and people watch. This location is in a lively area, lots of interesting things to see. The coffee is great, they know their art really well. The baked goods are also wonderful. They have washrooms.

It’s hard to find good coffee in Vancouver. This was quite a good cappuccino on Burrard. Definitely going again. Friendly service.
