Emery Barnes Park

A nice park for walking my dog. Also has a great kids park and a fountain.
Some days the park is nice, but in recent months a few encampments have been set up and a lot of drug abuse in the park. But I guess that’s Vancouver these days!

Not a great park for many reasons:
- almost no equipment for toddlers under 2.5, there’s always multiple families lining up to use the one baby swing.
- absolutely no shade over the kid’s equipment, you’ll completely roast in the summer.
- not enough benches and seating for a busy downtown park.
- not completely wheelchair/stroller friendly, a lot of the Pats are narrow and hard to access. There are points in the park where a person in a wheelchair would have to go the long way around. Random concrete slabs separated by 4” strips of dirt and grass make the right half of the park a pain to bring a stroller over and impossible for those in wheelchairs.

Want to go from the one baby swing north on Richards? Can’t cut across you have to walk out to davie and around.

Needs more shades. Other than that, it's a. Good rest point. And has some good coffee shops. Around

Dirty, tiny, gravel smelling like pee everywhere gated dog park. I suggest Coopers Dog Park. Cleaner. Huge grass area.so many well behaved dogs and owners were all so nice. I'd go here cuz of the size of the park tbh.

The most beautiful thing in life is the children's voice that reminds me of the old days, so that our hearts may carry peace and the meaning of man. Thank you

Great park for the littles. I have a 18 month old he has been playing here since he was 6 months.

Great park for kids' playground, and doggie park. There's fountain and benches. In a great location near cafes, restaurants, and entertainment areas. Well maintained residential environment.

Sadly this park needs to decide what it is.such a large great space but due to lack of dedicating a corner for dogs, the field has basically been torn up in the center making it bad for soccer and baseball as well as the people trying to use the field for events. Give the dogs a corner, repair the fields and the this park would be a 5.

It is a clean place, ideal to go with your family, nearby you still find endless restaurants, ideal if you come with children or your pet

A wonderfully busy park to bring your children to, or hook up with you friends, or just find quiet place to relax and enjoy a book. All right in the heart of Yale town.

Love this dog park. Good place to bring your dog to play with other well-behaved dogs. Of course with any off-leash dog parks, there can be some etiquette issues with some dog owners (rarely). That said, 99% of dog owners who visit here are friendly and their dogs are well-behaved.

Crammed into busy part of downtown and is dominant by dog walkers.has kids park but not much used. Spring has geese there so geese dropping minefield. Is good to sit and read or people watch with cup of coffee.

One of the few dog parks that I feel my dog is safe, my dog feels safe and high percentage of the dog owners seem to be responsible dog owners
