Very poor experience with non-trasparency about their prices. They say one thing and then do another. What they say is inconsistent and they don't give you all the information you need upfront which is not a good business practice. They waste your time with trying to figure out what their prices are and are not considerate of the client experience. There are other places that are more upfront and clear with their processes and communication and this is not the place. It is also rushed because it is a student clinic, so you wonder what the quality of care is when they are so focused on teaching students. Just overall a really poor experience with a clinic who is unable to listen to real client feedback and actually change.

If I could go back in time and choose a different clinic for Ketamine therapy I would. I recently finished the 3rd and last ketamine session and I am left feeling worse then when I started. Everybody reacts differently so I cannot blame the clinic for that. But I do believe things were handled in a sub par way. I don't think this clinic has any bad intentions but mistakes were made. I'm hesitant to get into details but at the end of the day I feel I was taken advantage of.

In my humble opinion, Tricia Lovegrove is the best therapeutic/healing RMT in Vancouver. There are many licensed RMTs in Vancouver but she truly has a gift - a wide range of skills and unique "seeing hands" that locate the source of your issue quickly. My treatments with her are cost-effective (because so few are needed to solve my problems) and highly productive. It will often take a week for me before I assess that my issue will not go away with home treatment before I schedule an appt with her. After the appointment, my concerns are typically solved or I need only 1 or 2 more treatments. On occasion, because of distance, I sought treatment elsewhere only to have to schedule a follow-up with Tricia.

My concerns have ranged from: head/neck pain and headaches; arm/shoulder pain and carpal-tunnel like sensations; lower back pain and IT band tightness. I am an office worker who cycles a lot and spend quite a bit of time in a forward/hunched position. I am really glad to have discovered Tricia's practice.

I want to highlight a few ways to get the most out of your treatments and to set your expectations. First, although I have never sought Tricia out for a relaxing experience, I imagine with clear communication you can get a spa-like massage as her skill range is wide. What I am looking for is effectiveness and that usually comes with some pain as she engages in trigger point therapy. Breathe it out and communicate. She knows when to release a muscle safely, but you need to know your own pain threshold. Secondly, Tricia lives with seeing and hearing impairements. When you meet her, speak loudly, clearly and be straightforward. With her permission, guide her hands to your issues on your body. Be collaborative & proactive. Tricia's service dog, Elvis, is a sweet black lab that sleeps in a cage in the corner of her treatment room. He will look up when you enter and occasionally drinks water or re-adjusts his position. Otherwise, he is very quiet. I would also recommend that you take initiative in adjusting yourself on the table before beginning. Let Tricia know what you need. For example, sometimes I find the head rest too low and because of gravity, my sinuses feel pressure. I ask Tricia to adjust the headrest for me. She is kind, professional and helpful.

I hope you have a wonderful experience with Tricia; I wish there were more trained RMTs like her.

I’m very specific about how I like my massages and Josh stuns me every time. I’ve seen many massage therapists and I am always left feeling unsatisfied, this is not the case with josh. He is born to be an RMT.

I have been receiving massage service from Josh for almost 3 years now, and I was never disappointed. I am a professional dancer who struggle with injuries, he saved my shoulders and back so many times! Josh is a real professional who definitely knows what he does.

I highly recommend Tricia for a RMT massage. She is absolutely amazing. Her massages are deep and very healing. She is the only RMT who has actually helped my chronic low back pain. 10/10 would recommend her. This place is also very nice and very fair prices.

I have just recently started going to Empower Health and so far I am impressed. Joshua (RMT) really went above and beyond, by not only alleviating my neck Nerve Pain, he also taught me a lot! Sheryl Watson (Holistic Pelvic Care, and Arvigo Therapy) has been amazing. I never knew how important this kind of work is. I highly recommend looking into it!

4 stars for Trish the RMT but the holistic area is Unethical. I cannot recommend an unethical business. The location is great but the practise of billing time and up selling is horrendous. Not upfront with the billing but they think WHO cares, their insurance is paying for it. So most of the time I will get away with this. I would like to see this business change its way of thinking and caring for people and a HOLISTIC thinking for ALL; not just for the "BUSINESS" itself.

You can see the whole set up from the walls, the shelves and right down to the people that work there, it is all to SELL YOU. Make you think and feel a certain PRESSURE. Words that are used for your listening is also to SELL YOU. It's like the late night infomercials. They can sell you by giving you snake oil or sell you by scaring you. Or sell you because they make you fell like a heel (cheapskate) if you don't. All these little thoughts are placed in your head a bit at a time until the PUNCHLINE. Now.will you or won't you? Why NOT? Those are the thoughts to try to sell you.

I DO NOT AND CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THAT DOES NOT PRACTISE GOOD ETHICS.

My recent massage with Josh was the best i could have hoped for! I was in soo much pain.my back locked on me completely! It was painful to even sit down. Within an hour i felt the tension releasing and by next day my back pain was just a memory. He is just amazing and very knowledgeable at what he does. Highly professional, asked the right questions and listen to what i needed. Even though i would selfishly keep this a secret so he would be available, I can't recommend him enough!

I came here because my regular RMT was booked. It was my first time. They did not ask me to come early. Came on time and had to fill out paperwork for 5 minutes which I rushed through. Then when I was done and gave the receptionist my papers the RMT was not ready. I had to wait another 3-5 minutes. I was hoping the time would be added on at the end. The RMT Josh came in and talked for 10+ minutes trying to get my back story. When I felt he could have definitely started sooner. By then 20+ minutes had passed. He also made sure to turn the timer on so that the massage ended on time even though he was not ready when I arrived. I felt ripped off. Paid full price for massage which only lasted 30 minutes. Will not return.

I’ve been going to this clinic for massage therapy with Josh for a few months now. I was a little hesitant at first because I’ve never had a male therapist before. But the minute I met Josh I felt his profesional approach and made me feel very comfortable, he loves feedback from his patients and that makes for a great experience during the visit. I don’t see myself going anywhere else, love Empower Health Clinic!
