The End Of The Roll floor covering franchise was the result of the efforts of two founding partners, Urs Steinmann and Duane Ortynski. From the late 80s to the early 90s, End Of The Roll stores began opening in Western Canada. Today, there are over 50 End Of The Roll locations nationwide, with the average gross margin of an End Of The Roll franchise being higher than the industry average.

This was one of my best experiences. Sam from End of the Roll walked me through the quote, consultation visit to the actual purchase order. The installers were fantastic. They walked me through step by step what to expect. They were punctual and took pride in their work. On a few occasions they even stayed late because they wanted to make sure the section they started was completed before leaving. Before leaving each day they made sure the area they did was swept up.

This store has a lot of different carpets available at great prices. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Brian was super helpful in suggesting colors that would complement my wall color. He provided large swatch samples to take home that made it very easy to imagine the whole room carpeted.

Large swatches are a must when choosing carpet colors! Some swatches looked great in store but clashed in different lighting when I brought them home.

Payment and installation was a breeze. The installation contractor Karoly from Windmill Flooring was efficient and polite. He brought his own indoor work shoes which was very appreciated, and vacuumed thoroughly at the end.

My new carpets are great and I saved at least $1000 compared to big name stores.

I've had a wonderful experience dealing with End of the Roll! Sam helped me out in store and was patient and knowledgeable. He qualified and narrowed down the options for the correct carpet and underlay we need for our dog-friendly house. I must say they have wonderful customer service as I did reschedule my installation date a few times and Brian was quick to help. The installers were Windmill Flooring and the 2 guys they sent were great as well, very respectful to us and our contractors (as we had on-going renos) and insisted they finish the job the same day even though it may have been a tiring summer day for them. Big pro: barely any tool marks on the walls! Great experience beginning to end and I'll be back for more, highly recommended!
