Epic Cycling Outdoor Adventures

We had a blast exploring Penticton and Naramata on our Epic e-bike rentals. We booked overnight for two days, covered a lot of ground, and enjoyed all the amazing views, food, and wine! The rental process was seamless, with excellent communication, and Tamara and Darcy, who took care of us, were so friendly. They even arranged drop-off and pickup at our hotel.

We wholeheartedly recommend this experience and would definitely rent from Tamara and Darcy at Epic cycles in the future!

Epic may not necessarily describe the customer experience you’re going to have. This is a back-of-the-truck running behind a motel type of business. They have zero presence and store front. You better be on time or else they will charge $25 for every 15min you’re late for late return after 5pm. That’s a nice hourly wage for someone sitting in their truck at the back of a motel. They tried to contact me via email because I was running late for the pickup at 9: 30am. I provided my phone number at the time of reservation but it appears they expect that everyone reads their emails every 5 mins on a weekend. They asked for the height upfront when I made the reservation and paid the deposit but the bike was not adjusted properly at all. The front was way too low for my height and I had to drive the bike bent 90 degrees as if I was on a competitive speedbike instead of a trail bike. I couldn’t enjoy the ride at all. Do yourself a favour and rent a bike from the storefront on the corner. I should have done the same.

My husband and I we rented two bikes to go trough the KVR trail and go to the winery’s on that area, around a hour of cycling.we gave our heights previously hoping our bikes will be adjusted accordingly, wasn’t the case! We ended up with arm pain just from riding and the seats were the most cheap and uncomfortable ones we couldn’t last more than 15 min in them it was Horrible and an awful experience! We had to drop our bikes and just walk because we couldn’t seat in the bikes super tiny and cero cushion also I got a male bike not a women’s bike when we were trying to get back on time we just couldn’t seat in the bikes because they were very uncomfortable they do charge a fee of 25 dollars every 15 min of delay it was a terrible experience we got recommendation from the globe and mail probably paid for because the business doesn’t even have a location they just drop them off.when we expressed our feedback the wife of the owner even tried to record us on the camera if we where some kind of crazy people but it just shows the lack of assertiveness and lack of customer service experience at the end they wanted to charge us 75 dollars more because we were late since we couldn’t seat in their bikes and had to walk, make sure you are all set up or rent from another company these guys are some privileged white people that have money for adds not reliable at all, worst seats ever you won’t last more than 15 min in them for sure!

Thanks for the great Bike tour. Darcy and Tamara made this tour awesome. Very knowledgeable about the wineries and made everyone (group of 11) feel safe on the ebikes. We got some great photos along the way as well. Would 100% recommend to everyone. Hope to come back again next summer.

Just got back from my bachelor party weekend in Penticton. We did a KVR trail and Naramata winery tour day with Epic. These folks truly knocked it out of the park in every way. I can't say enough about the team they have, and the quality of every detail of the day we spent with them. Thank you so much Epic for a day we'll never forget!

We were interested in doing off road cycling in the Penticton area, on the KVR (the old Kettle Valley Railroad). Our expectations were more than met with Tamara who supported us for the 5 days of riding and with Bert who was our guide with superb knowledge of the area. We were there primarily for the riding but managed to experience several of the wineries with the excellent lunches that were organized by Tamara.

Tamara took my husband and I on a ride that was a great fit for both of us. We were able to ride with a view overlooking Naramata valley the whole way. We gained an appreciation for Penticton’s bike culture, both on and off road. Also, with the number of small wineries about, bike riding seems a great way to do tastings. Tamara and Darcy give you preference as to what wineries you might prefer to visit. A great day, full, memorable, and leaving us good-tired at the end.

What an amazing trip with Darcy and Tamara and the best way to see the vineyards. We had a great ride and a tonne of fun with the crew. We met near town and were straight onto the Kettle Valley Trail. We rode up to Arawana - gentle 2% grade uphill to the lookout and then it was down hill to the first vineyard for tastings and an amazing curated lunch put on by Tamara.
These guys have got it dialed in. We ride on bikes and they have a support truck that meets you along the way with water and anything we needed. Any wine purchases go in the back of the truck so you're free to peddle and enjoy the incredible views. They select the vineyards for each trip so you're always going to get something different and very fun. They also know the operators so you get looked after well at the vineyards. Darcy was a great lead and made sure everyone was okay on the ride.
It's an easy ride for pretty much anyone and they'll pace the ride to the group. When some of the group has ebikes the rest of us worked a bit harder ;)

Tamara and Heather made the cycling experience so comfortable and personal for my boyfriend and I. The view was spectacular along the ride and the trip was customized to our schedule and interest. The team had one of the best personalities I’ve worked with and went above and beyond my expectations. Tamara had set up a special surprise birthday lunch for me in one of the wineries we visited. Strong recommendation to choose them!
