Went to this arcade place since 2003. Works as part time before as well. Manager has always be top tier and give max due diligence with his job since then. Drop by and you will not be surprised a place like this still exist in this Era in BC

One of the coolest selections of arcade cabinets I’ve seen in North America. So many fun games from Japan. I didn’t know existed particularly enjoyed the shooting game with the closing elevator doors.

UPDATE: The owner has resolved the situation, and I hope they are able to continue to work with the community to stay a welcoming place that is open to competition as the scene grows.

ORIGINAL: Espot for years has been a home to a wide selection of rhythm games, but recent questionable actions by the owner have caused server providers to cut service to the arcade making them mostly unplayable. Unfortunate to see the once good collection essentially go to waste, I hope they manage to work things out.

Monopolistic tactics to try and control the arcade scene in Vancouver. Will ban people from their location for simply doing business through other arcade channels that aren’t theirs, and intentionally raising the price of rare machines while not maintaining them. Did I mention the owner is also incredibly rude? Place is dirty too. Do some research and support your other local cab owners. Find some local meetups and just skip going here.

P. S. I bet the guy that’s rude to customers is the one here in Google saying “we’ll have a talk with him. ”

The games are nice, I guess, I'm not a big fan of arcade games. They rent out pool tables and dart board machines for pretty cheap, especially during happy hours. This place even has computers for you to play on! It's nothing special, but it's worth the price.

Convenient location with lots of arcade games to play. Long operational hours are also great for fun activity on a typical grey days. Staff can be a bit unprofessional sometimes and some of the games need a repair or replacement.

The only other decent arcade in the lower mainland. If your craving for an arcade experience this will satisfy it, but only at the bare minimum level. I am super greatful for the existence of this place even though there isnt many games, cause its got a good amount. There is also that other arcade @ metrotown thats got a bit more arcade games. But in terms of variety of things you can do, this one has it beat. You got pool, gaming computer arena and etc. Check it out! Lost 1 star cause it needs to be more clean more often. Would be cool to get more games in there though. If your wanting a better and biggrr arcade, and dont mind traveling to downtown Seattle, Gameworks is where its at. If not, this works. Your guaranteed fun with friends!

Really cool place! I before thought that there was only rhythm games in las vegas (because that was the only other one i went to), but this one has some of my favourites like wacca, (the right side of the wacca machine's light isn't showing up but still works, please fix this my ocd is taking me over). Sometimes the coins doesn't register on the machine.its kinda hidden though

Sad to say I've had to change my review once again. I've been going to E-spot at least once a week for 3 years now to play Jubeat and im finally fed up with that "One" employee.

It is unfortunate as E-spot is the only place that currently updates and maintains Jubeat but its not worth dealing with that employee.

That being said, if it doesn't bother you, and you can handle that rude, lazy employee then by all means its a fine place to enjoy.

Wanted to add that all the other employees I've interacted with were much kinder and helpful.

I have been to 30+ arcades in my life, and Espot is the BEST EVER. Guarantee you won’t find a better place, at least in Canada.

I'm very glad that they have maimai universe there, I had a fun time with it. However the guy at the counter always tries to speak chinese with me which I can't speak, pretty weird in my opinion.

Came from Calgary, the Chinese uncles here are so cool and welcoming. Highly recommend this place, great for late night fun.

RUDE RUDE RUDE! Don't give these type of business owners your money, go somewhere else. They aren't that "special" like they think of themselves

Alot of games were out of service and when games ate our $ there was no one to be found to help.

We went there on Aug 27th and my friends and I played pool. Everything went well until the very end. We handed the worker the items back and he just threw it, he was angry. When we were asking for the ID and he kept giving us the wrong ID. He stated that he actually gave the people prior to us my friend’s ID. We had to run outside the building to catch the people with his ID. The worker did not bother to ask for his name or for another ID to clarify his identity.

The worker was all over the place and had everyone’s ID disorganized. He stated it’s because he was alone yet he we on his phone the entire time. It does not help the fact that he was showing his anger to the customers.

The person in charge was extremely rude. I didn’t know that you have to play the full one hour of pool. We had to leave early however he said that you have to play the whole hour. We even offered to pay more just to leave. He decides to keep my friends ID and hold it hostage. The place is a dumpster and is super disgusting.

Sorry but the place is in need of updates. I would not touch the arcade if I don't have to. We did not stay long, just an hour of billard game and left.

Very sad. Square button on project diva arcade doesn't work. That was the only reason why I visited this place. They need to fix broken machines or turn them off.

Came at 1: 40 and got the pool set, went back at 2: 40, to return the set. The worker (probably owner) wasn’t there, so we waited for 20 minutes and finally the man came. He charges us an extra $3 and when we explained we waited there for 20 minutes he shrugged us off and said we were lying because he was stocking drinks and was walking back and forth and didn’t see us there.
We checked all around the counter multiple times during the 20 minutes and no one was around.
The games seem good, but do not go for the pool tables.

Guy behind the counter (owner) pretends to be an employee who is just doing what he’s told and makes excuses when asked about faulty machines. Refused to refund and kept making excuses about not being able to look at the machines or deal with them, then proceeds to look at the machine when I’m about to leave. Very scummy

One of the last arcades in bc.they have a pc room, pool, darts, arcade machines, snack bar, card pictures.they have many fighting games but some machines are in terrible condition.gl hf

pool has kept this place alive but i miss the old fgc scene.

Fun times for cheap. Many arcade machines. Many take a loonie to start. 8 ball and snooker tables available.

It's a fun place with lots of games but when I went to the pool section, I couldn't find the desk person for a long period. When it's my turn to ask for a set, the person only gave us two cues for four people to use. Its not the first time they do that and I see other tables of four have a cue for each person.

The only arcade in BC with Maimai and Chunithm, two of my favourite rhythm games.

Espot is a great place with something for almost everyone. From racing sims, rhythm games and fighting games to pool, dart boards and more. If you can go, I would highly recommend it.

Fun games, would prefer if there are clearer instructions though. Also the place is definitely not being sanitized as much as it should be because it had like one staff

Came to play pool with friends and had fun. The place is a little understaffed and we had to wait a while for someone to answer. Besides that I would say if you're playing pool (not seriously ofc) it's not a bad option.

P. S. I did not try the game machines.

Had fun playing pool, Employee with the glasses at the front counter offered the snobbiest customer service ever.

E spots. A fun place to go with your friends. The machines and pool sticks could use some cleaning though. As soon as the staff gave me the pool sticks you could feel the grease on them. Other than that we had a great time here when I went with friends.

Awesome, fun games and big space! Most games are not in English so hard to understand but still fun to play. They also have darts and pool in the back which is different than other arcades. I love going to this place on the weekend. Highly recommend for a chill time.

Was a fun place to play games, but there's close to no maintenance on the machines. Almost half of the machines were dysfunctional, and there was only 1 staff member with a line of 10 people waiting for assistance.

For many of us who grew up with games on computers and consoles, going to an arcade is becoming more and more obsolete. But it was fun visiting with kids.

This place was such a disappointment. All games are in Chinese impossible to understand the instructions of some games; most games were pretty old and falling apart. The 40-50 yo Chinese worker there was also very rude and spoke to me with an attitude when I asked a simple question about Parking… overall, if I could give this place a 0 star, I would

A lot of the games are in dire need of maintenance and I wouldn't say it's my cleanest experience also. I'm giving it a 2 just because of the value for the pool tables, other than that I would give it a 1. The place looks like it hasn't been cleaned for years accounting the covid situation for the past year, and still looks the same dirty looking place 3 years ago, so that's says a lot. The basketball machines looked flat, dirty and torn, the dumped, unused machines are in a dark hall going to the bathroom that also looked like it was barely cleaned. An arcade is still a fun place to go to with friends but during these days it's always best to stay in the safe side of safety and hygiene. Especially with kids, as I was with my son and friends kids as well.

Loved the rhythm games there and the machines were relatively clean.

Although some of the machines were broken and kinda wasted my money on some without knowing.

NOT ASKING FOR VACCINE PASSPORTS and many people not wearing masks. All games are old and don't function well. Air Hockey, Basketball games are in very poor shape. Pool tables are all in need of new felt. Many of the video type games are in Japanese or Chinese so difficult to understand.

It's a great arcade overall but the ticket system is meh. However, there are a lot of different arcade games there and it's pretty fun! I would recommend going there if you want to play arcade games for a short period of time.

This place has a great variety of games and is a nice place to chill and hang out with your friends. The place is spacious and clean and also has many pool tables and dart machines. The staff is nice and friendly.

The Asian Guy with glasses has extremely poor customer service and attitude. Talked to us as if we did something wrong and owed him money lol. Freaking cocky and condescending.

I love going to espot! It’s such a fun place with lots to do- from mini karaoke to pool and arcade games there is truly something for everyone!

Expect to spend 20-40 per person.

There is a range of old arcade games, pool, modern arcade games, and plenty more.

Decent place to play a game of pool, arcade isn't bad but nothing to write home about. Open till late which is nice. Good place for a casual date if you're in Richmond.

Amazing place and I have lots of fun but one thing I wish was the WMMT5 (Wangan Maximum Tune 5) was $1 instead of $2

Owner was specifically rude to us for no just reason, came over to tell us how to throw the darts better in a condescending manner.

Always fun to drop in here. Constantly getting new games. Has lots to do from darts and pool tables to racing and party games to obscure and music based games.

A cute place to go to when having a chill hangout with friends where you can reminisce in old fashioned arcade games. While the japanese games are hard to understand, it adds to the fun for sure!

Lots of choices for your type of fun! We settled on playing LAN game. League of Legends. Computers were very fast. Mice were worn down but not sticky or greasy. Chairs are not bad. I like the feature on the computer where you can order food. I didn't try it myself but I'm hoping they bring it to you! Probs not. Pool tables and ping pong tables looked like they were in good shape from afar.

I love the new location much better than before.
My only problem is the guy at the front desk. He's really rude. I won a prize at the machine. The one where you have to push the poll through the small hole. Once it drop I never received it. Upon asking he told me that I didn't win it has to drop down the hole? Huh? It clearly state that you have to just push the toy down. I inspected the machine and their isnt a way to ever get the prize. I tried to tell him but he DID NOT CARE AT ALL. Told me to talk to the manager. I was ready to leave and I saw the manager as soon as I told him what happened he immediately helped me and I got my prize. I'm very thankful for his help. The prize is worth 2.16$. It comes in a pack of 6 figures on dhgate. Very disappointed I had to argue over a small amount.thank god the manager was so understanding and helpful. If I had left without getting what I rightfully won probably wouldn't have come back.
So my point is the front desk guys is rude. Talk to the managers they are very nice dont let that guy ruin you day.

Even when you think it's way too busy, theres always tables available. All ages usually present. Food and drinks available and darts in the same building.

Great place but the front desk guy was snobby and pretty rude. Almost ruined my night with just how arrogant he was. Also nothing is in English.the games are terrible. For 1$ a game and terrible prizes for games that gives tickets basically Skee ball that's it and you get two little toy soldiers for 20$

It’s a great place to play pool and enjoy retro arcade games, They moved from they’re old place to this newer bigger location with more variety from there previous location, it’s a decent hang out night spot.

Starting to improve its selection and not as dingy as the old location, however still feels kinda weird but they got Maximum Tune so I can't really complain.

Also, owner (I assume) is super friendly, and the prices are very good for Pool and such.

At this time posted just be wary of the Gitadora machine (drummania) the coin slot is eating major amounts of loonies. Yes it's broken. I've asked the attendant at the front but he didn't seem to have any solution or interest lol. Until they fix it be careful guys. Other wise most of the other things inside are ok.

Terrible customer service blames the customers for everything. Uneven pool tables that send balls flying or stalls them. When confronted shifts blame and wouldn't allow a table change. Despite there being more than 7 tables open.

I scored it a bit low but only due to the fact they are experiencing some Growing Pains adjusting and maximizing their new location. However at the same time a number of the arcade games at the old location I haven't seen once such as Marvel Capcom. Still the place to go to play some pool or throw some e-darts

Fun place to play pool and arcade games with friends! Not much parking, and it can be quite busy on the weekend.

Great place despite the renovations happening. Seeing they added more Japanese arcades, if there is a form on their site to request specific arcades, I would love to share what arcade would be great to have there.

Went here yesterday and I would say it’s totally worth it. They did do some renovations and made the place much smaller but there’s more of a chance of people being closer to each other.
The staff try to be as helpful as they can when you approach them. I had fun here, and I would definitely recommend to come here and enjoy lots of arcade games, pool, and darts.

Everything's good but the named Ace who is at the cashier was so rude. He should not suppose to work in this kind of establishment that intertained customers. I am not the only one who complained about his attitude but some few customers also. Every Sunday we are always at espot with family and friends but only this Sunday wasn't good because of this guy. He said his name is Ace. Very rude and unprofessional. The manager should talk to him and give action of his attitude. Appreciate alot. Thank you.

This place is a joke. Half the games don’t work. I get it’s jn richmond but everything is in Chinese. The cashier is a tool and super rude. Some games are supposed to give tickets but don’t. No clue how people give this place 5 stars.

Recently they have moved and renovated the place with a whole slew of new arcade machines. Much more inviting atmosphere now. Unfortunately many of their machines are still in disrepair, with no signs of them fixing it over the several weeks I frequented the place. Still a good place for pool, snooker, and darts though!

Some games arent in service, they should keep there games and area cleaned and would remodel if they could.

Always fun with friends. They have street fighter, DDR, Race games, pool and many others. Always cool Cars in the parking lot, lots of young adults.

Many machines just eat ur coin or won’t work.while u can get them to get it to work or get back the coins but it’s just too much hassle
