The store is reopening but it’s getting more and more expensive. The taste is mediocre and the rice is often cold.

Pretty decent place to eat. Online menu ordering if you're able to. Lots of milk tea choices. Funky art work on the walls.

Update 24 Aug 2023: foods went downhill now, flavorless. Not sure because they have changed to new chefs or cheaping out on ingredients. Would not be coming back even for take outs anymore. Ambiance more like a food court. This place is nothing like before. Reduced to 2 stars.

Old review: Have been coming here regularly for many years since my son started kindergarden across the street back in 2011. Foods are hit and miss but mostly are good.

Everything tasted exactly the same as before, very delicious! The staff are very kind and hardworking.
They just reopened and are very busy so service is a little slow but cut them some slack! The food is definitely worth the wait!

Edit: My friends and I are overjoyed they are open again! The items taste the same, to our relief.

This has been my bubble tea spot for two years. Always treated well, haven't had any issues with mixed up orders, and the prices are amazing. I always go for the original milk tea, and some of the food items which I love are: Thai chicken fried rice, honey garlic chicken wings, beef noodle soup, and squid tentacles. Love me some E-Tea.

I just went to et and got brown sugar milk tea. It was bitter at first, but I realized I had to stir it, and the pearls were chewy. I also enjoyed the flavour of it. I would recommend you go here.

After 3.5 years, the rental billing has been built. E Tea bubble tea restaurant came back to the same location with the dame address but with a new look and design. Everything was refreshing, modern and clean. The same business owner started to run the restaurant here again! Welcome back!

Tonight, my family and I had dinner here. The restaurant was super busy with many customers. People came here for dinner or ordered takeout. It was crazy busy for the newly opened restaurant.

We tried their bubble tea, fried chicken nuggets, fried octopus, hot pot, hainan chicken and etc. They were great! We hope to come back and try something else.

The pricing is reasonable and it’s similar to what we pay at other restaurants. The customer service was great. The staff here was friendly and welcoming. Even though they were busy and felt hectic, they still kept their manner well.

I’ve been going here ever since their re-opening and so far, I’d like to say that the food was been really good! I’ve had the popcorn chicken on rice, the squid tentacles on rice, and the deep fried pork chop on rice (katsu rice).

This place is awesome! Super happy they finally reopened, me and my friends have been coming here since we were kids and as always the food and service was great! The staff are all extremely hardworking and I’m very happy to be supporting this locally owned restaurant again.

Brought my family in for a nice lunch at this reasonable priced (generous portion too) little gem in the east side neighborhood. We love the black sugar bubble milk tea, slushies, hainanese chicken and braked pork chop rice. Will be back soon for sure.

Food flavours are quite average, but prices are reasonable, and they accept all credit cards including american express (Amex requires chip).

Went to ETEA cafe after work, and we’re so satisfy with their food!
We had salt and pepper chicken, deep fried squid tentacles as starters while waiting for other friends…. And I’m busy eating so no pics for the entrée hahha
Drinks are bomb too, they have a series of drinks (NFC fruit) made with real fruits! Love it!
Definitely give it a try if you’re in that area!

We ordered popcorn chicken and rice combo. They were taking so long and we were kinda in a rush so I asked them how long they would take, and told them to cancel if they would need more than 10 mins to serve. They served the chicken 5 mins later but they completely forgot about the rice again. At that point, we didn’t bother asking them, and just left. Never coming back.

Some of the food was good but some was bland. Ordered the curry beef combo and mix and match soup. The curry beef was good and had lots of veggies. But the mix and match soup was only okay. The popcorn chicken and noodles were good but the soup itself has to flavour. It was like drinking hot water with coconut milk. It did not taste like laksa.

Etea is finally back after it closed back in 2019 Since it closed I couldn't find another restaurant that makes Hot and Sour soup perfectly.

When I heard they re-opened I immediately made a trip down to my fav restaurant and honestly it did not disappoint!

It looks much more modern and cozy than before. The booths are more comfy! And the environment seems much brighter and welcoming than before.

Their menu is smaller than it used to be but everything taste the same as it used to.

Only downside is they no longer have parking.
Overall I am so happy Etea is back️

E-tea returns to the corner of Rupert and 22nd.not a lot of parking nearby but more options for the school and neighbourhood for drinks and eat.large menu for drinks but small menu for food.

My friend and I came back since this was our go-to place when we were in college. However, it's totally changed now. It's more like a restaurant now as opposed to a bubble tea place. And I'm truly disappointed that they removed some of their vegetarian options from before. The service was just okay, they seem to not remember to fill up the tea and also they keep speaking cantonese despite me using English at all times since the friend I came with doesn't speak Cantonese. Overall, I think if you're Asian and you really like Asian food, and you don't really like vegetables, This place is quite like a Hong Kong style cafe. It didn't really do much for me since I do like vegetables, I'm a vegetarian, and This place didn't even have toasts for dessert. I ended up ordering veggie curry baked rice

I’ve been here roughly 20 times in the last 5 years. Service has always been the same, pretty slow and not amazing. But the food and price really makes this place good. Get the spicy chicken noodle! (Stir fried)

A nice cosy Taiwanese food outlet. Popular among students. The braised meat rice have a very nice presentation but I have tasted better ones. Their fried food and noodles/ rice are quite good. Nice and cosy environment.

Service is great, comfortable and chill restaurant. Very good prices and the drinks were great as well. Staff is friendly and always looking to fill your drink back up.

Very friendly servers n must try honey toast with icecream/ whip cream. Mine shaved ice red bean drink was really good also.

The food there is alright I really enjoy getting the Taiwanese fried rice. The slushes there are not that good but the milk tea is fine.
