The best decision I've ever made was to join events and adventures! I've made so many good friends, been to great local places I never knew existed, and traveled places that have been on my bucket list, and the best part is I didn't feel like a fifth wheel like I do with all my married friends because it's with all singles.

Scam Alert This club should be ashamed of stealing people’s hard earned money.

I didn’t meet any friendly people here and it’s not for people under 40!
I was told that unlimited holds are allowed without disclosing that even then I would need to pay. It cancels or changes event times without prior notice, doesn’t refund if I’m not available at the new time.

The fact that the prices for each event’s signup will be high, inspite of the membership fees was not disclosed.

It is a total scam!

For real though, if you've ever thought "that'd be cool but I can't go alone" about an activity or establishment, or "I wish it was easier to make friends as an adult" this group is for you!
Since February 2022, I've had wonderful experiences at dinners, happy hours, volleyball, pickleball, beach days, rooftop bars, hikes and typically "touristy" activities in my city. I have loved every second of meeting interesting people who bring great energy to events, usually laughing until my face hurts every time. It also means a lot to know that people look out for each other's safety at events and know I'm not going to end up on an episode of Dateline with any member of the group.

I've gone on dates outside of the group activities with a few members, and developed some close friends in women I would have never otherwise met. I even found a special person that I could have as a "check-in" buddy when I meet people from online. Those kinds of connections are not just things you happen upon but are possible here due to the way the group and joining process are set up.

If you travel, you'll be happy to know your membership extends to any other city where there's an active associated chapter! I am a member in Tampa Bay, but have hung out at events with the Chicago and Boston clubs. Fun experiences abound if you are open minded and like to do stuff, I hope you'll consider joining!

I joined this group in 2021 right after my divorce. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I just knew that I needed to get out of the rut I was in. The co-vid restrictions were lifting and the timing was perfect! I was looking for a safe environment to meet people and let me say that I have rarely found a more welcoming group of people, than the people at Events and Adventures. In this group, I have met some amazing people, shared some irreplaceable memories and been able to experience activities I would have not been able to experience had I tried to do things on my own. There was something for everyone, and every budget. No pressure to do any event you aren’t comfortable doing, but I recommend trying something new two to three times a month if you can. Go in with the expectation that you are going to meet fun singles, and you won’t be disappointed!

I joined in 2015 when I was going through a breakup. I signed a contract for 3 years because it was the cheapest each month at the time of joining. But boy was I wrong.
My dad also passed away in 2015 and I had move back home and couldn't afford it anymore. I emailed and called the big bosses, they had no remorse or anything. They told me I had to either pay it off, be engaged to get out of the contract. So upset.
With the amount of what ppl pay I think the local meet ups should he paid with that.
I would join Meet Up instead, I had alot fun there and met more ppl with the same interests.

Really aggressive sales team! No value in terms of asked $ spent. I got 20 text messages half way through registration, and then I backed out. They'll never have me as a customer.

I have been a member of Event and Adventures for over two years. It is a fantastic experience: lovely people, excellent things to do, and International trips. I had a great experience on a Europe whirlwind Adventure trip. It was well-planned, and the activities were enjoyable. I am thrilled to attend events and activities with this Club!

I have been a member for almost a year now and absolutely love it. It is a great way to meet new people and try new things. It's great that you can pick what you want to do each month and now there will be someone to try it with. It can be a little costly in the beginning, but if you are looking to just get out and try different things, it is fantastic.

I have nothing but fantastic things to say about my experience with Events & Adventures in Vancouver. The people are all really nice and there is a wide variety of events to choose from. I have made friends I know will last a lifetime from this experience, and the hosts and event coordinator are all wonderful people. I appreciated that this group isn’t solely about finding a partner. It is about meeting people, making new friends, and trying new things with others who are looking for similar adventures as well. Can’t recommend this enough.

I have been a member since 2016 and have many great experiences with Events and Adventures. I've gone on many Weekend trips and even one to New Orleans and met a group from the USA. I have been white water rafting 3 times, gone to Whistler twice in one year for a weekend trip and to the Island for New Years and the May long weekend. There is always something new to try and new places to go every month and I never would have done many of this things if I hadn't signed up. The hosts have been so great, especially for the bigger events and trips. I have met lots great people over the years.

Interview process is ridiculous. They book you for an hour then ask you some pretty personal questions as part of the vetting process, then when they finally tell you about the events it's all board games and walks by the lake, and literally (I swear to god) high tea. I asked for an average age and she said 30 - 50. You're better off at the library, at least you'll learn something.

These guys will lock you into a contract you won’t be able to get out of unless you pay the full amount of your contract which is in the thousands. And if you don’t, you get put into collections. Avoid this club if you like your bank account and sanity.

On top of that the groups were very clique, and judgemental. So making friends that are genuine is nonexistent. Half the time you show up it’s a drinking fest, making it seem impossible to be sober at a group. You have to pay an entrance fee to each event, aswell as the tickets.

Overall the club is a total scam, try to avoid it if you can. Coming from someone who has been in the group for over a year now.

I am just writing my review now because I am shocked how many ads are circulating for this place! Frankly I am shocked they are still in business. I joined in late 2019 and I fell for the concept and sales pitch and regretted it as soon as I got home. When I finally had access to full site I realized all the negative reviews are true amd clearly remain true. You can get your money back if you change your mind and follow ALL the steps within a short time frame but you must do all or your refund is denied. But that window doesn’t really give most people time to figure out what a scam this place is and the only events included in your by massive fee are things like walking or going to a park. The cost of other events are huge considering the fee already paid and if you want to go to several a month. Stay AWAY! Join MEET UP

FYI BBB rates them a 2 out of five for 2022. There are ongoing complaints and formal action taken against the company.

Today I had my first meeting, everything was ok, at the beginning the employee asked me if I’m financially stable because they just want people financially stable as their members, and I said yes, I have a good career. So at the end of the meeting they presented me the membership options. I said that I would need to think about it before taking a decision, so the employee said “but you said you’re financially stable” lol
I felt like she was pushing me to sign right away, which I don’t think is a good way to go. I’m happy that I found these reviews because it just reaffirms that I will never become a member of this club.
