Evergreen Bed & Breakfast

Booked this through Expedia over a month ago, and got a message last night at 11pm that I needed to call, as something was wrong with my booking or my cc. I received a follow-up email first thing the next morning threatening me that I had 10 hours to comply or they were canceling my booking. They hadn't even attempted to call me. I called to try and figure out the issue or supply a new cc (even though we had just used that same card to book a different trip with no issues) and he did not answer the phone. I texted and Christian (sp) to ask what the issue is and I shared that the emails were not very hospitable. He threw a fit and said "we will cancel your reservation since you feel we are not hospitable", and then he went on to blame Expedia for sending the messages. I called Expedia and they confirmed that was not true and they confirmed they would be sending in a report about the business after I shared the screenshots. Do not book here. They are so unprofessional it's appalling.

We never got to stay because we were notified a few days before that they were cancelling our room. Super unprofessional and rude on the phone. Didn’t seem to care or want to talk to us like humans! Christian is the guy your looking for if you want the worst customer service in experience.

Beautiful room, amazing breakfast and equally amazing host. This is a must stay in Hope. Having been in the industry of BnB my whole life, this is
by far a top notch place to stay.

A lovely, super clean, and welcoming B&B. Highly reccomend to anyone looking to spend a night in Hope.

The property was well maintained, clean, warm and inviting. The room was so cozy and inviting.the instructions for self check in and all other information, tips, recommendations were very helpful and well organized.we had a chance to talk to Christian during breakfast and we expressed how impressed and how we felt like we were at home.we wish continued success to the business and the family. Hope is a great stop thru the travels to Vancouver.

We stayed 3 nights at the evergreen bed and breakfast.   One of the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at.   We were hosted by a very nice family and they served us a very tasty breakfast every morning.   The location was great, with all restaurants and shops close by.   We'll be back!

The owner is very difficult to talk to. We did not have data and could not check our e-mail with code to enter. We called this fellow and he kept repeating that he sent it to our e-mail. Explaining situation lead to nothing. Very difficult host. Apart from that there are some very troubling notices in the room like if you flush the toilet when taking a shower you might scald yourself or if you turn microwave and toaster the fuse may pop out. It is very unsafe place!

Car trouble landed me in Hope for a couple of days during the heavy rains in November 2021. Stayed in the Tranquillity room which was spacious and had all the amenities I could need while waiting for the car. The location is very convenient, close to grocery store, coffee and brewpub. Will highly recommend to all travelers!

Lovely B+B.

One of the nicest B+B's I've stayed at. I really appreciated the attention to detail and organisation of everything from check in to the guide book on how to use the TV and the coffee maker. Very easy and convenient! Would stay here over a hotel any time. Great location close to town and and the brewery!

Please note at the moment they don't have breakfast included because of COVID but it's still great value for money.

Stayed in a serenity suite for one night. Clean room, comfortable beds and couch, and an excellent variety of amenities (baby wipes for makeup removing!). It’s a great stop if you’re coming to the lower mainland from the Interior, and within walking distance of Starbucks/Booster Juice and lots of other fast food places. The self check in process is convenient and hassle free; the hosts leave detailed instructions on how to use everything.

The mark is so low due to the fact that hotel (namely a person named Christian) requested us to cancel our booking. We planned to arrive after 7.30 pm (which is conflicting to hotel policy). We called hotel and tried to negotiate our late check-in. However, Christian showed no flexibility at all. We politely informed him that we will share our opinion with the other travellers. After that, Christian became very sarcastic. We accept hotel policy and no claims to that, but we never saw such a poor customer orientation, behaviour and zero flexibility.

The hotel itself might be good, but we were not given a chance to visit it. Evergreen requested my family to cancel our already made reservation due to check-in time after 7.30pm (hotel does not allow to check in after 7.30pm). Never saw such a poor and not flexible hotel guest service! After few minutes of polite negotiation he became sarcastic and arrogant. I am ok with hotel rules, but to be almost rude to customer is not very good policy if you want to attract guests. Very poor.

This place is clean, warm, friendly, fun and central. Just an all around amazing place to stay and the people running it are so wonderful:) I highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at Evergreen in Hope. The room and communication with the host were excellent. Kawkawa Lake is a nice stop close by.

Nothing but brilliant and positive things to say about this little bnb and Christian (+fam). They took two travelers with a broken down car in for a night and completely turned their worries on their heads. A fantastic, cozy, and welcoming space. We won't be anywhere but here when we find ourselves in Hope again.

The host, Christian, began harrasing me the week before our booked stay at his B&B demanding immediate payment even though my contract through Hotels.com stipulated our payment would be taken upon check-in. I would have been fine with paying early, however I was dealing with some family medical issues that day and when I didn't respond immediately, the host became quite rude in messaging me saying my credit card info was wrong and threatened to "chase after" me for the money, much to the displeasure of my husband!

Christian said he was going to cancel our reservation. We then had to find new accomodations for that night in Hope. Now, I have discovered that he actually DID take a payment and charge my credit card for that night! For the reservation he had said he was canceling. Without telling me and without sending any type of receipt or confirmation or anything!

So he is not only rude and disrespectful, but is also a theif. I am now opening a file with the BBB and will be seeking legal help and compensation.

Beautiful room. Beautiful scenery amongst the mountains. Enjoyed balcony in the evening. Bed was super comfy. Close to amenities.

Labour Day weekend, 3 days. Check in was easy. Harmony Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom sink needs work in that both hot and cold dripped, actually ran when turned off. Sink was not attached to wall so that it bounced around if any pressure was placed on it. Overall happy with accommodation.

The owner was very accommodating and wonderful to deal with. The room was beautifully set up and very clean. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you for having such a great place to stay!

Owner was extremely helpful! Messaged him late at night as we needed a tow just outside of Hope and had no where to stay at the time. Bed and breakfast was impeccably clean, self service check in efficient, and breakfast delightful. Would absolutely stay there again.
