I came in just to look around and maybe try on some new boots. I ended up speaking with Liam and he was super helpful. He was very knowledgeable when it came to snowboard boot fitting, bindings, and boards.
Bought 686 gloves and the liner gloves tore at the index finger after a month with a total of 5 uses. Took them into the shop and was told it counts as wear and tear. So they expected me to buy a new liner after using it just 5 times. 686 needs to fix their gloves and Evo needs better warranty process
I went in to Evo this morning to get sized up for a snowboard, bindings and boots. Duncan was extremely helpful and spent over an hour showing me the full range of products and ensuring I got the right equipment. I liked that he took the time to understand what I was after and didn't pressure me into buying the most expensive items. Would highly recommend for anyone that is getting their new setup in Whistler! (Ask for Duncan!)
Great selection of high quality equipment. Knowledgeable staff and outstanding customer service. Is the day after we bought new skis and bindings for one of our teenagers and a helmet and poles for the other and I'm still thinking about what a great experience it was.
After shopping around, we ended up buying all of my husbands gear here (plus some clothes and gloves for me!) We absolutely loved the service we received from Nick and the whole team here! So much attention to detail, and taking the time to explain everything to us. You can tell that they're passionate about helping people and the products are some of the best in whistler. Thanks!
Bought a biding, used for one day, didn’t like because they were loose. I tried to return the biding and buy a new one, to match thee price or something. NO return policy, no explanation and RUDE customer service. Not sure how they still in the market. EVO is a NO GO place
Bought some 686 ski pants from here. Used 3 days and a tear in the back pocket appeared. Took them in and they just told me they couldn’t do anything other than send it off to 686 to warranty it. May as well just have bought them online. I would have to expected an exchange, store credit or refund.
Good selection for a smaller store, but the guy behind the counter was super unfriendly, barely acknowledged me when I came up to pay for something, and was just kinda rude in general throughout the transaction. Who knows, maybe he was just having a bad day? But it left a bad taste, so I’ll probably go to other shops in the future.
Went in to get info on powder boards and in spite of my age (76 yr old female) got lots of help from Duncan who didn’t talk “down” to me at all. Lots of great info and now I’m stoked to buy a new board (am I crazy?) In the past the staff were great repairing a part on my Flow bindings - at no charge! Highly recommend Mountain Riders.now Evo.
Hired a potential death trap bike today for a junior. The rear brake cable snapped whilst we were out. To make matters worse I was told I had signed a disclaimer and it was my fault for not checking that the bike was fit for purpose!
First of all, I don't like that they don't prorate the time. So if you are over by 20 mins, instead of prorating, they push it into the next hour bracket. The bikes were also extremely uncomfortable and there also don't have stands so you always have to prop your bike up against something as it doesn't stand up on its own
