Chilliwack Excel Martial Arts (EMA) is a training gym like no other, led by the most personable, skilled, motivating instructors with obvious exceptionable core values in practice. It's a very welcoming place to train in Mixed Martial Arts. Their programming offers a significant source of wellness for so many.

I cannot say enough about these guys! I have used the childcare, birthday party and my son attends the martial arts. They are PATIENT, KIND, UNDERSTANDING and work well with kids that may need a little more than others. They give my son the confidence he needs and he leaves every time saying "I loved that class" Highly recommend as #1 for martial arts in Chilliwack!

As once a martial art practitioner and teacher myself. I was beyond impressed with this school. The way the instructors are able to have continuous flow and the attention of the students, no matter size of class was Impressive. The respect, The discipline comes so naturally to the students, I Don’t even think the kids notice how much they are learning

The after school program is stellar. Kids are happy, teachers/I know structors are trustworthy and kind, and I’m thrilled with the increased confidence and post it w behaviour I’ve seen since they started.

We have had a great experience at Excel with both the child care and the classes. Adam is great at communicating with the parents regarding policies and government regulations. He is also always available to answer questions. The classes are at convenient times for us. My daughter has made many friends there and enjoys going so much her goal is to become an instructor one day.

Excel has been amazing for my kids self-esteem. The instructors are wonderful and caring towards their students. Highly recommend for birthday parties too!

We signed up our two kids approx 2 years ago. Over the two years they have participated at Excel they have grown to be more disciplined, respectful and independent. Involving children in organized sports/ martial arts at a young age will certainly assist in helping them mature and stay focused during their teenage years. Adam and his team have done an outstanding job of navigating through the ever changing restrictions and regulations that Covid has brought forth and always makes sure everyone is comfortable and engaged. Kudos on running an outstanding local business!

Besides the great self defense skills my kids are learning they also are learning good values.
This afterschool care Provides excellent personal growth for young kids.

Chloe is going for belt number 10 today. I am not able to see it, working a long shift. That and physical distancing. Just want to take a minute and say how proud I am of her. Covid hit, but it didn't slow her down. She practiced almost every day at home, online. If you saw her a couple years ago, to where she is now. Her confidence and self esteem has blossomed. Not only a gym, but a daycare. My support system, our extented family. Thank you Adam Gibson, Thank - you to you and your team. I am able to work, and not worry, not one bit. Truely is one of my biggest blessings, as a single mom, to know that my daughter is in the best hands, and developing into a strong and determined girl.

Great place to train and work out! Staff are friendly and helpful, lots of space in the gym, and the different classes keep things interesting!

EMA is a awesome local martial arts gym. I have attended classes for 5 years at the chilliwack location. I highly recommend training at this martial arts gym. Always a positive attitude and a great environment to expand your skills and self confidence!

Love this place! Absolutely one of the best decisions we ever made for our kids was registering them in Excel Martial Arts. Our kids (6yrs & 4yrs old) joined about a year ago and even through the Covid shut down they were able to keep classes going on Zoom.
Both our kids had a rough start as they were both very nervous and shy but the staff was amazing at helping them with this and now they both really enjoy going. Our kids have become much more confident and as a parent it's amazing seeing this transformation.
Our daughter had her 1st belt test yesterday and she still can't stop talking about it. We even drove to show her teachers and class mates her new belt that she earned this morning.
Excel Martial Arts also offers Before & After School Daycare programs.

The instructors at Excel Chilliwack are excellent. They are great with children, teens and adults. I've seen how much the kids just love their instructors. They are great role models - strict, but caring and loving. The training area is massive and allows plenty of space for training. Highly recommend.

My 6 yr old son has been attending classes for a about 2 months now and already the behaviour and attitude change at school and at home have been unbelievable! He's doing so well the school is telling me by this Dec he will no longer need an IEP! We are so proud of our son for all his hard work! But we must extend a HUGE thank you to the excel martial arts staff members. WOW you are all truely amazing thank you all for your hard work with these kids your communication with them it's unreal you connect with them on their level it's so great to see! There's discipline when needed and praise when needed it's absolutely incredible! I would highly recommend excel martial arts to anyone and everyone especially people who have high energy kids! Thank you all again so much I don't know what we would do without you guys!

I love the powerful role models that my kid is exposed to - men and women. I love the positive and supportive environment that provides lessons that apply to life outside of martial arts as much as inside. I love how engaged my kid is and comes home each day saying how much he learned. I love the social network he’s gained and the friends he’s connected with.

We are having the most amazing experience here at Chilliwack Excel Martial Arts. My daughter done a lot of different types of activities but this is by far her favourite.
Every day she she is having so much fun while learning so many new things and making life long friendships!

I would rate higher if i could. Amazing instructors that actually care about the kids achieving goals and succeeding. I have taken my child to other Karate classes before and it was basically let the kids run around for 30 minutes. Excel is totally different and my child loves going. Thank-you to Adam and his amazing team.

So grateful to have joined Excel Martial Arts Chilliwack! They run an excellent martial arts program that is well rounded. Not only focusing on the physical but improving mental capabilities as well. My child is always excited to attend class and has learned so much in his time there. I love that he has learned better coordination, concentration, confidence and dedication. I feel the self defense that he learns will benefit him his entire life. It’s also an added bonus that they offer a weapons program as well. He has also gained social skills and has many new awesome friends. The instructors there are very patient, positive and skilled. The facility is large and very clean. It’s such a great place for any age! I am proud of all the new skills my child has learned and can’t wait to see what he will accomplish in the future. So happy and thankful to be apart of the EMA family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

My husband and I decided we wanted our girls in something that will teach them discipline, strength, and ways to defend themselves. After looking at a few other places we decided on Excel and it was the best choice ever. The teachers and student helpers are simply amazing and truly care about the children and helping them. We have found our forever home with Excel!

Excel martial arts really understands child development and how to mix fun and learning. I love the incorporation of music, the way they challenge children and adults alike. A person of ages 4 to 104 can attend and find the right classes for fun, fitness and defense. Attend with your child or not. They answer my questions day and night! I think it’s been the best investment in my child for his brain development, confidence, coordination, self defense and a fun sport! Great value for money. Can not say enough!
