What a great service the technician did getting my fireplace back to it’s proper working order! The fan now works again, the logs were left in the correct position so flames show and burn properly, embers are visible again and glass front was cleaned. Front frame was reattached without stripping and it burns beautifully. Thank you so much, I highly recommend your company!

I had a great experience with Expert Gas Fireplace Service and Repair, from the moment they setup the appointment they were very cordial and prompt. Technician John arrived within the window of time promised, worked efficiently and explained the situation clearly. His work was fast and professional and quite diligent, he fixed the issue with the thermocouple, detected an issue with some burned logs and helped clean the debris cause by it. I would also say I found the price for the service to be quite reasonable, so great mix of efficiency, professionalism at a reasonable price. I would greatly recommend this company.

I had been having issues with my gas fireplace for some time and it finally quit on me altogether this fall. I called Expert Gas Fireplace as I couldn't get the company our condo generally uses to respond. John arrived on time and determined it was a loose screw behind the wall plate causing the problem. He ran all the usual diagnostics, tightened the wall screw, and charged his minimum call out rate. Unfortunately I continued to experience intermittent problems with the fireplace the following week. He returned to replace the wall switch and assured me there would be no extra charge as it was covered under warranty. I found John to be personable, responsive and honest on both visits and will be using his company in future.

Our 27 year-old fireplace was working intermittently and under very specific circumstances only, as a first time owner of a gas fireplace it was quite frustrating. When it finally decided to die I contacted John and Marie here and I'm so glad I did.
Mary responded promptly and was very accomodating to my weird work schedule, she also provided clear communication when we hit some shipping delays with the parts. John was punctual and very efficient, he diagnosed the issue quickly, and once we had the parts it was a swift repair as well. On top of the gas related expertise I appreciated the fact that he brought a blanket to cover the floors and I appreciated that his slots were mostly in the morning so we can all get on with our days (while being nice and toasty). I hope I don't hit any more problems with this fireplace but if I ever do, John and Marie would be the ones I call.

We've used John's services on multiple occasions now (the fault of our fireplace, not his work) and every time he has been prompt, friendly, informative, and eager to find the cheapest best solution for us. His rate has gone up slightly (now $120 per service call, used to be $100) but I will certainly be calling him the next time something goes wrong.

Highly recommended. John was early, fully equipped, very knowledgeable, and walked me through each attempted repair, ensuring I understood why one did not work before moving onto the next, eventually replacing all of the failed parts. Throughout he had a good sense of humour, and educated me on how to maintain the fireplace moving forward. Highly recommended! Would definitely go with John again!

I am writing to commend John's character. His day ran long, and I was disappointed that he was unable to attend as per our appointment. Instead, he offered to come first thing the next day, Saturday.his day off!

I can't yet speak to his work yet, because as it happened, by the time he arrived (8: 00 A. M.) I had managed to correct the problem myself, but he will be my first call next time I have a problem.

We called them on Friday afternoon because our gas fireplace's pilot light wouldn't stay lit. By Saturday at 1: 30, the repair was complete. The job was done quickly, he was punctual, and we are very happy with the total cost.

John did a great job cleaning and servicing my 23 year old fireplace. He was very knowledgeable and did not overcharge for the replacement thermocouple. I would highly recommend his services.

I don't know about the negative reviews posted here, that lady must be a bit kooky because both John and the woman on the phone were friendly, polite, and really nice people. Don't believe the single bad reviews posted twice by the same person, this company is spot on.

I called John based on the great reviews here to service my gas fireplace but was sadly disappointed. Initial contact was great and we booked an early morning appointment (6: 30am) on a Saturday. Not ideal time but I was eager to get my fireplace tuned up so accepted the slot. Well, he proceeded to pull a no show. No phone call or text. Horrible customer service that truthfully doesn't even deserve the one star. Who books a early morning appointment and no shows? Boo.
