Last week I got a piece of metal stuck in my eye. We attempted to remove it ourselves and thought we got it but my vision was left blurry in that eye and it still felt like something was in there. I checked medi map and all clinics were showing at capacity. I also thought about going to emergency but a friend suggested going to my optometrist. OF COURSE! We get stuck in a routine of eye exams and forget that our optometrist is a specialized doctor for your eyes.why would you go somewhere else? I went to the Millstream location which is where my optometrist is and where I get my glasses. The optometrist had left for the day already the lady phoned their other location at Belmont Market and was able to get me in there. When I arrived, the optometrist took me right in, put a dye in my eye to locate the issue. She was able to determine that we had in fact been able to remove the metal and what I was feeling was rust that had formed. She froze my eye, removed the rust from my cornea and had me wait for a bit to be sure I was ok and not in too much discomfort. She prescribed an antibiotic eye drop and sent me on my way. Thank you so much to the staff at both locations and Dr. Janice Luk for helping me and making sure that my injury and eye was a priority. My regular eye exams and vision needs have always been a top notch experience at eye etiquette but this was next level. My sincerest gratitude

The whole experience at eye etiquette was really really great, Dr. Peterson was awesome and it seemed like he actually cared and the lady that helped me out today (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name) was just so nice and helped me find frames I really liked even though I was indecisive I felt super comfortable the whole time:) thanks guys
