One of my wife’s favourite places to get sewing supplies.
It’s my favourite place because I can head over to Princess Auto down the street to spend some quality time!

Super helpful, tons of selection made my project super easy. 1 stop shop prices very fair.

Made a huge mistake of shopping here today. (Oct 11,2023). First off the lady who cut my fabric choices took it upon herself to chastise me for standing to close to her table. When the other table the ladies were right up to the table. Second the dingbat at the till was just as rude. Does your staff not realize that EVERY customer who makes a purchase just helped to pay thier wages. Time for the owner to get off his butt and start lecturing his staff on the IMPORTANCE of Customer Service.

I will not be going back here and I prefer to pay for shipping rather than shop here again. I had gotten some fabrics cut for myself to make a quilt and Once I had gotten to the counter I realized that I didn't bring enough money with me I told the girl who was on cash amd she holler over to her manager who very rudly told me i coukd not do put anything back I was being forced to purchase everything. I wasnt ready to purchase it all and they were so rude I was almost in tears and now Not only am I flat broke I am terribly embarrassed and I dont want any of this fabric because every time I look ay my new quilt I will remember how theses women had treated me.

Never experienced such unfriendly hostile employees as this. Assistance given was condescending “ we price in yards, it’s on the door when you come in, written on this cutting table, do you want me to cut in yards or metres? This is a yard stick not a metre stick! ”
I think these ladies have worked together for too long or maybe they have a manager tuat rides them u fairly and they pass it on, because this is a group of staff that are clearly not happy and it’s a nuisance to them that you walk into the store. Will never ever shop this location again.

First time there. Impressed with the variety of fabrics. Friendly staff helped me find what I was looking for.

5 stars for the variety of products. Literally amazing, I was fascinated.

1 star for the lack of customer service on my visit. Unfortunately I didn’t buy anything because when I finally found the fabrics that I wanted, I couldn’t get help.

Was I missing something? From the moment I entered the store nobody even greeted me. Completely ignored.

Is the store short staffed? I saw quite a few people working, but each of them seemed too busy doing other stuff.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will be going back to purchase more things.

I was just surprised they still have directional signs on how many people can be in one area, while staff was walking 'against the grain'.

Super frustrated with my experience with the manager at this store. I wanted to purchase some beautiful navy wool to make a poncho/coat. I was buying the pattern with it, gave the pattern to the attendant who checked the yardage and told me how much I needed. I asked a second time because it didn’t seem right, but she assured me it was the right amount. She cut it and I still wasn’t sure so I took it to another attendant who double checked the pattern and it was almost two yards short. They checked the bolt but there wasn’t enough left to cut the amount I needed. So the manager told me the only thing that would work is buying the second piece they cut, plus an extra yard so I could piece the pattern together, while charging me almost full price for the extra yard. The best they could do was give me 10% off the extra yard for the mistake they made. If that’s how much they care about their customers here I won’t be returning to this store.

I love sewing and this Fabricana is amazing.have everything you need for sewing projects, reasonable prices and love the long weekend sales. The staff so friendly and aways ready to help with a smile. ️

I received incredible customer service from Lauren today and I cannot say enough good things about her. I was very frustrated trying coordinate my fabric and she saved the day! Very knowledgeable for someone so young! Lauren will be the reason I return to the store!

My go to fabric store. Has everything I needed. Great selection, great prices and helpful staff. Parking is great. Never had a problem finding a spot. It's right off the hwy if you take United Blvd exit. Don't forget to check the discount bins for random fabrics can find some good pieces in there.

Not too crowded on Tuesday so no line up or waiting for help. Weekends for me are out of the question. Good adherence to Covid rules!

I know nothing about fabric! The people here were insanely kind and patient with all of my questions. Covid protocols all followed wonderfully, as well!

Great service upstairs in the home decor fabrics. Horribly rude downstairs. Staff downstairs need training on their products as their knowledge was very poor.
The cashier - an older lady with grey hair was very rude. She didn't even look at me when answering a question in a snippy way.

Everything you need to make out of fabric is there. Everything related to fabric is there. No wonder it is called fabricana LOL.

I wish I knew their covid protocol included no cash. I am currently low income and often take odd jobs in which I only have cash to pay for things. I was informed right when I entered the store that it no cash was accepted. I was so embarrassed having to reveal my situation. I wanted to cry. I don't know if I'll come back knowing this store doesn't want folks like me in there.

Is an a good store and have different options. Colors texture accessories and many other things to include in your creative project.

Great store with an excellent selection of fabrics and notions. COVID protocols that are heavily enforced are a definite plus. Staff is knowledgeable, but could be a bit more friendly.

It’s upsetting because I love fabric stores and browsing around however at this location they didn’t seem to want to answer any of my questions. When I asked a lady if they had a specific print she didn’t even look in my direction just immediately answered no. When I also asked for a metre of something because on the price it said per metre the man abruptly cut me off and said “we don’t cut in metres we cut in yards” which is fine but he didn’t need to say it so rudely. I just felt as though everyone hated their job and didn’t want to help people. The only lady who was kind was the one who cut a couple of my fabrics for me.

Decent selection, covid protocols are a little over the top, but I'm guessing it makes their typical clientele feel safe which is important.

Unique company, great for all seasonal sewing and crafting, and I just heard they stepped up to help the Surrey Christmas Hamper find a new location. That alone deserves 5 stars!

Store well organized, clean, safe to spend some time whole looking for fabric, friendly staff but some not really knowledgeable.

Terrible customer service over the phone and email. I called both location asking for certain fabric, first time Richmond person was quite annoyed to answer my questions but said had the fabric on stock. Thankfully I called again to avoid going all the way for nothing and was sold out. Phone Coquitlam and same, sold out. While doing my phonecalls already contacted them via email as well. When I ask for the weight of the fabric they didn't know. I will be ok if was a sale fabric but was regular stock. Anyways back and forth, I confirmed I need the fabric and that was it, never hear back. What a great waste of time.

I have been there (Coquitlam store) many times before and never had any issues for me buying in “metre” until today. The person who cut fabric said, “We only sell by yard so next time you should figure out how much you need in yard. ” She was bossy and mean All other workers have been always kind and converted “metre” into “yard” for me. Maybe it was bothersome for them too but they treated me with respect and I appreciate that. I will calculate in “yard” next time in advance just in case “yard” is mandatory.
Ps. I wonder.why price is by “metre”.

Fabricana has a very comfortable covid protocol. However I think I was expecting better choices in fabric. Their quilting fabric is large and has a fair bit of choice but I was there quite a while and could not find what I needed or wanted. Prices are the same or more than shopping online.

This is about my experience at the Coquitlam location. Customers experiences will vary according to their expectations, reference to other services, their health statuș and many other factors that influence the complexity of our world.
Been there twice, just discovered this store while trying to build a custom sports bag.
They had everything I needed for the job, including zippers by the roll and zippers parts. Also found a nice color weatherproof fabric, strong enough for the bag.
You need to know what you want, the selection is so wide, you can get a bit disoriented, but there are employees who can assist you with your project.
They have cutting tables where you can order the sizes you need. Follow the posted safety instructions for everyone's safety.
Also they have all sort of parts from buttons to zippers and thread all the way to fine fabric.
As of October 2020 the masks are mandatory in the store, have one in your car or pocket, also there is a hands sanitizing station at the door. This might appear annoying, but most customers go by habits and test items before they decide, it is the human nature to experience the things properties.
Cannot comment on prices, I don't have other stores as reference, but I got all my parts for my project within 50cad. If I could find the same bag industrially made, the price would be about 80cad or more, in this instance it feels great to build it by my own hands.

The people who work here are the best! Very nice and super helpful. Great selection of vinyl and home decor fabric. Worth the drive ️.

This place is HORRIBLE! I was treated like a criminal because I have an allergy to the sanitizer! I was not allowed to shop until after I was ‘escorted’ to the washroom!
I have my own sanitizer that I’m not allergic to but it wasn’t acceptable! I will not be returning! Terrible customer service by all staff!

They don't have alot of fabrics that I was lookig for when I went. There was no tweed or brown almost plaid wool suiting. For pants. I couldn't find any rubber thumbles. There were mostly very helpful though.

This store is so big and has so much to pi k and choose from. They customer service is awesome greeted the second I walked into the store. It was great. I would 110% recommend this location to everyone. 5 star

It was wonderful allowing only a certain number in at one time. Credit or debit only. Fabricland won't allow you to buy patterns because you have to touch the books where as fabricana has sanitizer for you to use. Great

I bought a fabric from Richmond Fabricana and was looking for the same fabric. Kim and Lil are super helpful and friendly in helping me find the exact same fabric! Thanks again Kim & Lil!

Service is not the greatest. Came in on a Monday after 3pm. The staff member we were dealing with was not the most knowledgeable but that's ok, she could have been on the "new" side. Better options in Surrey I suppose.

First time purchasing fabric in a long while, was a bit intimidated upon entrance but a lady assisted me quickly and I was able to get exactly what I needed. Thank you for the help and will buy from here again.
