Gave this store a one star review or less if I could. The employees of this location where soo rude when addressing us, didn’t want to give us pointers to what we needed to buy and ontop of that, they were checking me and my friends out probably thinking we were going to steal something from their location cause we are people of color.
DO NOT RECCOMEND GOING TO THIS LOCATION DUE TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I work in customer service and I don’t direct the way they were directing to us even when I’m having a bad day. This is something else.
Their fabrics are nice but try to avoid talking with them to not get treated badly.

I come here once in a while and every time staff here are really helpful! Typically I'm looking for notions and they keep a reasonable stock in store.

They always say, buy local. However when local is extremely expensive maybe you should order from Amazon instead. I bought a throw pillow insert from this place 2 years ago, the price was 10 dollars for one. I went there a few weeks ago, the same one was 30 dollars a pillow! An insert for 30 dollars! I was shocked.
The cashier said, oh if you have a membership, (I did not) right now it's on sale for 50 percent off. Plus 25 dollars a membership.
I went and bought 2 for 20 on Amazon.
Maybe this membership is good for people who usually go and shop there but they lost me as a potential customer and I will never shop there again.

Friendly staff. Clean and organized store. Nice variety. Good sales. My only complaint was that it took a little coaxing, to get them to deliver what was ultimately satisfactory customer service

2 stars for the huge variety of fabric, great discounted prices and for one of the staff members. I dealt with a very friendly lady who came up to me and asked if I needed help, and when I was ready she was there for me right away. She was quick at cutting, and writing up the receipt to bring to register. She also made sure to double check how much I wanted cut and as a new customer I was very pleased with her customer care.

She called over a woman named Maureen to hop on cash to check me out, and Maureen is the sole reason this review only has 2 stars and the only reason I’m even leaving a review. If I was just leaving a review based on Maureen herself, I’d give her negative 2737 stars and suggest you shut down your business. This isn’t the first I’ve seen written about her and I’m sure it won’t be the last, but she is actively deterring your customers and deserves a call out.

Maureen was incredibly rude, and stand-offish. I noticed a fabric marking pencil beside the register in a plastic cup and because I couldn’t see the price (it wasn’t faced towards me) I asked Maureen how much they were. She stood there in silence for a few seconds, scowled at me and said “its on the thing. ”Gee, thanks Maureen. You could also clearly see the price as it was facing you so just as easily could have just told me the price or asked me to turn the cup around. I wouldn’t be asking you a question if the answer was obviously in front of my face. Don’t be in customer service if you hate servicing customers. You’d think with age comes knowledge, but maybe for some it just brings crudeness to others and a need to ruin someone else’s day.

My first time here. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. My daughter really wanted to make a pillow case with her grandmother. We picked the fabric and the cutter made sure we got the right amount of fabric. Ended up being bang on. Couldn’t ask for more.

I don’t come here often but in my last two visits here, I’ve experienced the same thing so I thought it warranted a review.

My take away is that the employees here have some sort of gatekeeping mentality to keep fabric crafts only for the elderly. I’ve witnessed the employees cut fabric for older ladies in line ahead of me and had pleasant conversations with them but when it was my turn, suddenly I was treated like I was a nuisance and like I wasn’t supposed to be there. Not even a “hi” or a look towards me

I used to love coming here as a kid and looking at all the different fabrics but now as a young adult, I’m being treated like I’m not welcomed there. So be it. I’ll take my business elsewhere

Great seleciton, but not great customer service.the employees couldn't be bothered to help you out. I handed the lady at the cutting table the skirt I was making, and told her I wanted to make 4 of these skirts.she only cut enough fabric for 1. Very disappointing to have to make another trip.but will be going to a different store this time.

I will always give Trinity 5 stars. This Lady is the best, as well as the South Asian lady who cuts fabrics. I do have a problem with the 2 Eastern Block women, they are so RUDE. They make me dread going to this store.

The staff were helpful to me when I looked lost - and yes, I was lost because I'm far from a textiles expert. They were friendly and not intimidating for me to ask beginners' questions.

This review is only for Deana at the Langley location. Deana needs to be trained on how to speak to customers and handle customer service related issues. At the time of interaction with her she made myself and the people around us feel like we're worthless, to the point where other customers and myself just walked out. I will never return to this location as long as she's working there, and this is a heads up for any one who is also planning on going to this location. Did I mention she's an ASSISTANT MANAGER of the store? I paid for a year membership that, sadly, will not be used.

Lots of fabric choices and the staff work hard and are very friendly and helpful! I've become a regular there now and am always greeted with a smile. Easy to find parking and appreciate their covid 19 protocols. Thank you Fabricland!

Was disappointed with my first visit here, was told they don’t have linen? Tried to bring attention to a mis-priced item and was blown off, then was talked out of buying their membership as I’m not a regular. Unwelcoming and rude

Quick review: All in all, staff is horrible here. Very disorganized. They have wide varieties of fabric but disorganization makes it hard to find. Only giving 2 stars due to free parking and great clearance section. Also, don't bother getting a membership if you're surely not coming back.

My experience.
Few weeks ago, I called over to ask if they had a specific fabric I was looking for, I was left on hold for awhile whilst the lady went to check. When she came back, she had told me to come look for it myself and hung up. I drove over to find a huge line up due to sales which ticked me off even more. I had to wait about 20 minutes in the rain. I got in and the place looked pretty nice but the fabrics aren't arranged in a well manner. You'd have to walk around the whole store to find what you're looking for. Staff weren't pleasant what-so-ever. I had recognized the woman I spoke to over the phone and asked her again where the fabric could've been. I'd given her a sample and yet she still couldn't find it. I had to look myself. You'd think the staff would be more knowledgeable about what they carry in the store and where they put it. Finally found it at the back pushed away along with some other things. Came back another day to get something else (normally I wouldn't have came back but I hadn't a choice) and waited in line again. Went in and saw a mother whose son unspiraled a roll of a ribbon and a staff member yelled at her. A normal person would tell the mother that it was okay and wouldn't have to worry about a thing. The cutters were nice. Black haired woman was very kind aswell.

Customer service is super bad, a lady cut her hand on a shelf and the stuff wouldn’t ever give her a bandaid. No interest is supporting a shop like that

Not worth getting the membership when other fabric stores have better pricing. The pricing is almost double other locals if you don't have a membership

A wide selection of drapes and upholstery. Quality is nothing to write about. But if you are looking for cheap than this is the place to go. The can work on their customer service, since the place is not organized very well. Good thing is there is free parking.

I only gave a star because I couldn't comment with out one. I am working on a project for the MMIWG march with fellow langara college students. We want to make red ribbon skirts to gift out at the march, I called various fabric stores in vancouver to seek out contributions and the rudeness from the women answering the phones at two different fabricland land stores was horrible. They claimed to be the manager and I was told that is not something they would do, one store said she will ask her supervisor but I haven't heard back from them. I'm disappointed, but thankfully Dress sew in vancouver did make a generous contribution they were awesome. I will keep spreading the word of how I was treated by by fabricland employees. It's fine to say no with out being rude and dismissive, that's just disrespectful.
