Great service and excellent mechanics. Took the extra time and effort to pick out all the small pieces of glass my tires had picked up.

Amazing! We were from out of town and needed two spokes replaced on our e-bike. The Fairfield staff were curtious, helpful, and accommodated our schedule. They built and replaced two spokes, and built two more as replacements.

Exceptional customer service and an attitude that evidenced the customer was important. They also had an impressive stock of biking supplies. I can’t say enough about the service I received! My only regret is that I don’t live closer to them as they would be my go to shop for all things bicycle.

Recently went to Fairfield Cycle to replace my Ortlieb panniers, as some of the hardware had broken. I was expecting to spend about $250. After a quick chat the staff fixed my old panniers up with some new hardware, for a total of about $11. They are good as new! I really appreciated the knowledgable and friendly folks who helped me find the best solution, rather than just taking my money. When I finally do replace those panniers, you can bet that I'll go back to Fairfield Cycle.

Fairfield Bicycle installed an after market Bafang ebike upgrade in my Trek dual sport. They recently serviced the brakes and adjusted the control to my needs. Thanks Max, I love it

A great repair service!

I wrote the above nine years ago. I just had my bike retuned by them, and can't say enough about their experience and knowledge. They did only what was necessary, kept the costs to a minimum, and the bike hums!

I took the intro to mechanics course with my 11 yr old son over spring break. It was awesome. Michael got him interested and held his attention for hours. I now have a wheel-truing expert and someone who loves to work on his bike. Highly recommend it if you are interested in learning the fundamentals that you can build upon.

I’m not sure why a bike checkup costs the same as a checkup for my electric car but that said this shop has great service, super staff and lots of accessories to choose from. Awesome shop in an awesome neighborhood.

Great shop. Reminds me of some bike shops in southern France. I love the place and the atmosphere in there. Besides my favorite brands like Ortlieb, Tern or Brooks, they also carry recumbent trikes and bikes of different brands incl. AZUB recumbents. The staff know their stuff very well and will help you even with very special needs and requests. Very recommended.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Went in looking for something pretty specific and they were able to provide exactly what I needed. The salesman had a chance to upsell me and instead pointed me towards a bike that was a better deal and better for what I needed. In a somewhat saturated Victoria bike shop market, these guys are definitely worth checking out.

My barely used ulock jammed and I could not unlock it. Gary and Kevin worked tirelessly to fix it, spent a good half hour on it. On the brink of having to walk away (without the ability to lock my bike) their hard work paid off and they unjammed it. They wouldn't accept payment for repair, which floored me.
This bike shop in my opinion goes above and beyond for their customers even offering a contact for me to learn to ride safely. From selling me the bike 3 years ago to standing behind their product when I need help, I highly recommend The Fairfield Bike shop for any of your cycling needs.

Amazing service! We were bicycle touring and one of our racks broke in a weird to fix place. The staff really took their time and try different fixes, eventually they found a custom made fix for the problem. So thank you very much! Very good experience here!

My wife and I stopped by to see about mirrors for our bikes. The young man who helped us was very personable. Not only did he fix us up with great rear view mirrors, but he was also good enough to install them for us. There is nothing like supporting local businesses especially when you receive that personal touch.

Just a great experience every time. Bought my bike there after not cycling for many years and they had the perfect bicycle for me. Bought my partners bike here. Have had repairs done and had questions answered. Every time the staff are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.

I went back and forth on what bike to buy and they were always extremely kind and patient. Their bikes are a lot more affordable than most other shops in town, and their service is always perfect. 100% recommended.

Went to look at e-bikes today. Wondered in to the shop and was yelled at by a clerk: 'Put on your mask! ' He was rude to me, embarrassed me, and asked me to do something not required by law or common sense. I noticed some ominous signs and a red light to control entry. Rediculous considering the state of Covid in Victoria. Why do people think that they can be rude because you didn't read their stupid signs? I'll never shop here and you shouldn't either.

Great experience. With the bike shortage now in town, I was able to find a good quality used bike, which was tuned and set for me. They even installed new tires! Would recommend for their service and expertise.

I had an exceptional experience buying my bicycle here today. The customer service was fantastic and the man who helped me was friendly and very knowledgeable. There are a lot of options for bike shops in the city (I shopped around quite a bit before buying), but this one is the best!

My wife and I drove down to Victoria to look for an electric bike with adaptations to suit her needs. Grant met us, gave us all kinds of tips, good advice, and really listened to Heather's biking needs. Heather tried 3 different trike bikes, and Grant went through the advantages of each. Grant's knowledge is second to none, and he has a nice, calm, positive demeanor, which was re-assuring. We are thrilled with the bike we bought and look forward to getting out biking again. Amazing staff, amazing service. I bought my e-bike in (purchased elsewhere), and they were able to fix it, and get it back to me the same day. I'll be bringing my bike back to them. A lot of bike shop workers have an attitude, but Fairfield did not - super friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. No one talked down to me just because I don't know as much about bikes as they do:)

Recently purchased an electric & enjoyed the no pressure customer service & test drive options which allowed me to make the correct choice. Loving my new ride (Opus WKND - LRT 1). Reccomend this shop to anyone looking for a new bike, or in need of maintenance/repairs.

Stellar customer service. Kudos to a small business large on heart. Old-school & hip to the times. Honest, knowledgeable staff members who are generous with their time and advice. They appreciate your business, no matter what the dollar value of the interaction. I bought my big ole' orange Devinci St Tropez back in 2011. My loyalty is limitless, given how I have been treated in the subsequent years. This week was no exception and motivated me to make the time to add a review. I had a problem with the bike’s mirror, which had been partially replaced a few weeks back. A recent tweak by a staff member was not the proper fix. This week the full mirror was replaced at no cost to me because the individual part was not in stock - and the staff member opted to help me out immediately, rather than have me wait on a part. Too long of a review, but my copy editor is on a COVID retreat. (And there’s a line-up there too.)

Purchased our Yuba Mundo through them, great advice at a fair price, did an excellent job installing an electric drive a year later, and then did an awesome job packing the bike to send to Australia. Easily re-assembled. Always friendly, helpful and professional. Can't recommend the place enough.

This bike shop is one I will definitely NOT be returning to. The woman who came outside to "greet" me was extremely rude and unprofessional.

I was inquiring about a part for my bicycle and immediately was told " Well we aren't doing any work for at least 3 weeks"
Then I tried to tell her I'd like to possibly make a purchase here and have it installed at another shop and was told "Good luck with that, no shops are doing work sooner they're all booked". I had already contacted another shop who would do the work much sooner but she didn't want to hear that.

Then was cut off and sarcastically told "Have a nice day". I strongly recommend avoiding this shop and taking your business elsewhere.

I would like to help your business with this review. Unfortunately I will be taking my custom to another bicycle shop due to my experience today. I wanted a bicycle to transport myself and my two small dogs on leisurely rides. I had previously looked at a bicycle there that we agreed might work and had booked a second appointment to try out the bike. I arrived on time for my appointment, waiting 15 minutes because you were running late. No problem. During these trying times I understand waiting is what we must do. I was ushered in by an employee who was not the person I was booked in to see. When it was evident that the particular bike I wanted to try would not work, the employee who was evidently flustered with the amount of time she had spent with me, informed me that my time was up and I should leave. I had been in the shop for no more than 10 minutes! I had planned to buy not only the bike, but bell, saddle bags, helmet and anything else that I might need. You may want to talk to this employee about her sales ability.

Every single employee that I spoke to was beyond helpful and kind. They went so far out of their way to make sure I was getting what I needed. They found a way to accommodate my budget and ensure the bike felt right. What a great group of people that really look out for you!

10 seconds after walking in and beginning my search for lights.i was viewing something.standing there when the employee (white hair and beard) proceeded to walk infront of me and the display case and nonchalantly fart infront of me! I laughed outloud and then just left totally baffled. 2 star just because of how hilarious you are guy! Wtf

Fairfield has been our go-to bike store for over 10 years. The staff has always been excellent. They offer a good selection of bikes and an increasing number of e-bikes. The staff are all solid bike users themselves with a lot of experience and advice to share.

Easily the nicest staff and best service around. Was a pleasure just speaking with the people there. Not the cheapest at times, but definitely the kindest and most helpful. We should support old-time shops like these.
