Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Penticton

New is nice, the room is beautiful but the pillows I didn't like, they started out fluffy but turned into a rock. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have had, eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruit, oatmeal, cereal.lots of choices. Guest service was fast and friendly, Ishita was very helpful, I needed to print some tickets and she was very professional and helpful. Thank you.

The rooms were spotlessly clean, well appointed and incredibly quiet. The staff were great and when I left several items behind they assisted with UPS returning them to me. I would definitely stay here again!

Central location, great breakfast with options for everyone, overall good staff, very clean room, feels almost like it is brand new, and very quiet even though it is on the road. Would stay again!

If you want hair and unclean pillows and a great excuse from the fron desk blaming you for the issue. This is the place for you. Second and last time there.
Go to the beach hotels they are more careful.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway and had a lovely stay! Was a little worried based on the average Google rating but this is a great spot. Room and facilities were well equipped, clean, and spacious with an attractive modern aesthetic. We were in the 4th floor with a nice view of the surrounding hills. Complimentary continental breakfast includes hot food (we had omelettes & bacon one morning and scrambled eggs and sausage the other). Location is within easy walking distance of the downtown core. Would definitely stay here again!

This was such a great spot to stay! The location was perfect, the hotel is brand new, the staff are really friendly and helpful - and there’s a pool! We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our recent stay for a ski getaway to Apex Mountain Resort. We'll be back later in the year to do a biking tour of Penticton- Naramata- Oliver.
We were told they have a secure bike location for guests' bikes.
Anyway, beautiful room, comfy bed, good breakfast provided and helpful staff everywhere.

Owner or General Manager assumed I was homeless because he seen me with my work clothes and a clear bag of personal clothing. If I was homeless what does that say about your security measures and general location in town. Very dissatisfied with his personality and assumption of people.

We have been to this place 4 or 5 times in the last year and went for an over night there last night and I think it may be our last. They must have changed their management or owners or something because it was just not the same this time. Dirty floors in the pool area, hallways and elevator. Our room was okay but not as clean as it has been. Our alarm clock went off early in the morning and our fridge froze all our stuff. Breakfast was cleaned up before 930 and all dry and groas. Disappointed. It was our favourite place to take the kids. Not sure if we will give it another shot.

Our room and mattress were big and comfortable. The service from the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The hot tub and pool were clean, while the breakast and parking were good.

We booked with the Fairfield by Marriott Penticton for our wedding group of about 30+ rooms August 2022 (I'm sure our guests spent close to $25,000 - $30,000 staying here). The problems unfortunately come top down from their disaster of a manager Shawn Gill. If you need to get ahold of them, prepare to email at least 4 times before you'll get a response. If you call them, prepare for them to hang up on you OR place you on hold while you hear them take a personal call for a prescription refill. Many booking errors and back and forth to make corrections.

We were optimistic that when we arrived the service would be better, however wasn't the case. As the bride and groom, we thought perhaps they would treat us nicely however, we were disappointed that they didn't even acknowledge our wedding. The front desk staff caused a lot of security risks by giving out our room number to whoever asked for it and even provided room keys to people NOT staying in the room to gain access.

We had one guest staying with a baby and were using their first come first serve car charging station. The front desk called their room at 10pm telling them to move their car for an angry guest. When our guest explained she couldn't leave due to her sleeping baby, they hunted down her husband who was in the pool. The staff then allowed the angry guest to ask him to move his car (in swim trunks at 10: 30pm). Unbelievably rude and unprofessional and unprofessional behaviour all around.

If you're staying in Penticton I recommend booking somewhere different.

What an amazing stay we had here. The staff was excellent and accommodated our rather large booking. They really went above & beyond.

The hotel itself is one of the nicest & newest in Penticton as well. I would 10/10 come here again.ps. Morning breakfast was also delicious!

FANTASTIC place to stay while visiting Penticton, great location with a simple walk to the beach. Friendly and professional staff who really know their jobs well.
Make this your go to when staying in Penticton and avoid the over crowded and too busy to treat you well other hotel locations!

Good: First off the breakfast was good. The location was great.
Bad: the door did not lock on its own, so it really made me question the security of my belongings.
And also the bath did not drain after a shower. Even till the next day. If you get rm221 check to see it this issue has been resolved.
Really was not up to the marriott standard.

I will never ever recommend this guy's to no one.
They ripped off and no customer service unfortunately.
I will never ever go back.
I'm really happy with the breakfast chef and than that I'm not really impressed.

We have stayed before and had good service. There was a fire three days ago and we have yet to hear from anyone at the hotel. We were evacuated by the fire dept.we completely understand things happen but no communication and charges coming through our credit card without the ability to talk office staff is unacceptable. Can someone please call the hotel patrons that were affected by the evacuation.

Expensive but brand new and well designed, also central in Penticton. Pool exists but is really tiny. Breakfast included is not attractive, but there is warm coffee available. The best part is the size of the rooms, nicely designed, quiet, comfortable.

Very nice hotel. Very modern and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is that the breakfast is mediocre. I actually went to A&W one morning instead because the breakfast there is so much better.

Nice new clean rooms. Has an indoor pool but its a tad small especially when several people want to use it. Includes a decent breakfast every morning. Would stay here again!

Was a newer hotel and the place was very clean.i really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and everything was amazing about this hotel.the pool was nice, it was an indoor pool and the hot tub was relaxing.the only flaw was they were short staffed.one time i took my family to the pool but there was no towels, i asked the lady and she said that she didn’t have time.it didn’t bother me much but it was still an inconvenience for me.i really liked this hotel and i hope to come back here again next summer!

I have stayed at many Marriott properties. I am a titanium bonvoy member. The Fairfield Penticton was a pathetic experience to be honest. Very expensive room rates. Service was non existent. When I informed the front desk that I would be checking out late (a normal benefit of titanium bonvoy member) she responded rudely and said " you know I have a lot of bookings"
I have never encountered such ignorance at a hotel. There is zero interest in serving guests, or even to be pleasant.
The breakfast was pathetic, quality of food horrible, service was actually rude. Not friendly, no interest in guests, they treated guests like animals at a farm that needed to be fed
Obviously the staff isn't happy, and there is poor management. Absolutely unacceptable service and experience. The posted room rate online thru Marriot was $469 a night for this experience. Shameful. I would never stay at this hotel again, even if it was free.
If the management cant run this hotel properly, then close it. Shameful experience and I hope that someone is accountable.

Can't complain! New place. Clean. Nice beds. Interesting sun shade on the window. I liked it.

Amazing stay. Wonderful staff, who responded to all our requests and made our stay so great. Looking forward to staying here again during my next vacation to Penticton.

The night guy was awful. I felt so disrespected and like I couldn’t be a member of the lgbtq community in this place because of him. Worst stay ever. Only Good thing Were the pillows. I feel gross and hate that I’ve spent my money here.

The Penticton Marriott is generally fine. But in this era it is COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE to be putting single-use paper plates, plastic cutlery and plastic cups into the garbage after a meal. The breakfast service is fine - not outstanding but perfectly edible - but the hotel is using single-use plastic and paper for all guests that eat breakfast (quite a lot of people daily).

Buy a dishwasher and hire another staff member to deal with reusable tableware! (Create another job in your community, yay!)

Three of us stayed a few days in March 2022. The hotel still has a new feel to it which makes it feel “fancy” but it’s not actually fancy, just newer feeling than much of the competition. We chose this place because the pool was open during our visit, while other nearby hotels’ pools were undergoing maintenance at the time. The pool feels a little small but fine for kids.

All staff that we encountered were very friendly.

A great place to stay. Clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. With a pool and a fitness room.

They made us feel welcome. Everyone was friendly. The Inn & Suites are gorgeous. My only negative was the person, a man wouldn't give me a printout at 6: 30a.m. Until I paid a mere $3.75 for something from there market that we didn't purchase. Another guest told an employee to put it on there Mastercard with our room#. We don't have a Mastercard
I was just happy it wasn't several items since they don't verify rooms with charge accounts.

Nice decor.

Large lobby with tables and chairs to sit and visit with company.
Large breakfast room with a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast food. Served to you by staff.
Cons:
Room wasn't ready at check in
No TV remote in room and TV was unplugged and almost fell off the wall
Drain Plug broken in the bathtub. Couldn't have bath.
Phone in room could not reach front desk, that was frustrating.
Pool room and pool very small and crowded.

Anyone that stays at this hotel, pls check your credit card statements and make sure your being billed Accordingly. We checked in the hotel and had to check out right away because something came up. So we stay for like 1/2 hr and the hotel billed our credit card $224 for one night (the room for one night was $144). The hotel manager said there was a $71 cancel fee, which we paid with debit and he said that there would be no additional charges as of the next day. 4 days later, the charge was still pending and the credit card company said that it was because the hotel did not release the hold. We had to call the hotel and they said that you should see the release the next day. We said that we are on the phone with the credit company and then she said it could take 2 days depending on the bank and we repeated that the credit card company said that it should be immediate and that it’s been 4 days then she said it could take up to 3 days. And we were told to call back tomorrow if the charges are still pending tomorrow, which will make it 5 days. So just be aware and check your credit card statements.

Absolutely fantastic stay for our new year's 2021! Staff was excellent, room was amazing. 2 tv's in our room! King suite also provides a fridge and good Keurig coffee. We were treated so well and couldn't ask for more. We'll be back. Thank you and happy New years. Cheers to 2022
