Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Kelowna

I have stayed in many hotels for work, with some of them being very pricy. I would say the service at this location compared or even succeeded to that of the top dollar hotels in Canada I've stayed at. The rooms were up to date and clean, which I value as much as customer service. Thank you for a great stay!

Room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options. Check-in staff were friendly and helpful.

Decided to stay at the Fairfield Inn due to an unexpected travel change that forced me to stay in Kelowna another night. Front desk staff were very kind and allowed me to check-in early so I could have a shower and rest. They went out of their way to help me and had no obligations to do so. I greatly appreciate the hospitality!

The room was clean, well furnished, supplies were in order, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I needed a good rest and that's exactly what I got.

On top of that, I went out to meet some friends in the afternoon and ended up dropping my phone out of my pocket in the cab upon arrival back to Fairfield. The front desk once again helped me to contact the cab company and make arrangements to have my phone returned to me. I can't thank you enough for helping.

If it wasn't obvious by now, yes, I would stay again and absolutely recommend Fairfield Inn & Suites to anyone asking.

Overall pretty nice. Stayed here for one night after long flight and it was pleasant and as expected. As the hotel name fair. We have no complaints because of the prices, facilities and service. It’s nice. We’ll use it again if we’re in the neighborhoods. Thanks.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Kelowna is a fantastic hotel with awesome amenities and very friendly staff. I travel very consistently for work/leisure purposes and am an Ambassador with Marriott Hotels based on staying over 100 nights a year at Marriott resorts. Too put into perspective what it takes too reach Ambassador status with Marriott you have to stay 100+ nights a year and spend a minimum of 20K annually on Marriott properties. I have stayed 465 nights at Marriott properties in the past three years alone and the service I received and respect I received has been better than what I experience at some Ritz Carlton or JW Marriott resorts with the Marriott brand which are considered the highest tier hotels under the Marriott chain/most expensive.

Daniel Ruel and the entire team have done an incredible job of making me feel valued and provided hospitality much better than the vast majority (close to 90%) of the stays I have had with Marriott at the Luxury or Premium level resorts.

Thank you guys for your continued hospitality and I hope the team gets recognized for their hard work and dedication too hospitality. Even me going out of my way to write this review was not requested by someone, I am doing this out of genuine respect for the way they have made me feel during my stays and I also come from a hospitality background and kudos too this team and the man in charge of this team!

Well done and again my highest praise for all your hard work to constantly make sure I feel like a valued guest. Thank you Fairfield Marriott Kelowna team and I look forward too many future stays!

The staff are amazing and so accommodating! The place is clean. And close to the stores if you’re walking.

Rooms and service were good. Really need to pay attention on how to access location for the first time

Not a great experience when we check in on this hotel somebody broke my driver side window of my pick up and when we ask for a cctv video to have a look on it, frontdesk said that the cctv where my pick up truck park is not in service

I Had an amazing experience during my stay at this hotel.
I had no reservation and called the hotel last minute to inquire about the pricing, Danny at the front desk made the check in process very easy, he is very kind and also offered me a discount for my 3 night stay.

A day later I had to check out due to an emergency, it was 2 pm (their check out time is 11 am) and the staff still allowed me to checkout at no extra cost.

Highlights:
For the pricing, This hotel is the best bang for your buck if you are staying near downtown Kelowna. I compared 20-30 different places (including Airbnb’s and vrbo’s) before I settled for this hotel.

The rooms are newly built, well lit, and very clean.

They also offer free breakfast and the quality, quantity & taste is amazing.

I can't believe car charging costs 5/hr here if you have a electric car. It is cheaper and faster to charge at the Tesla super chargers about 3 blocks away. If you want free charging goto the holiday inn across the street.

The sofa bed is horrible, we stayed for two nights and had to change to another room due to neck and back problems.

The water slide is great except that when you go up the slide with kids in their bare feet it smells like urine.

Rude workers. I say Hi to the cleaners and they simply ignore you. The breakfast lady will harrass you if you take seconds, she actually asked for your room number and accused us as someone who is homeless.

Nice clean rooms tho, not what I expected for a holiday.

Great location, 2.min walk to restaurants, shopping. 5-10 drive to downtown kelowna and beach. Service isn't bad, pool is ok for kids, a little small, but was ok.

Service was great as usual. Location is ok. Rooms are always clean, biggest complaint is where the shampoo/conditioner and body wash containers are attached in shower. Right in the way, but overall not a big deal

Great staff, very helpful and hardworking. They are a 10/10 but the "king suite" was not worth the money. The window was half obscured by the front entry peaked roof and cramped.

This place is amazing, incredible staff who have gone over and above accommodating myself and my dog. Great rooms, fantastic amenities, and a pretty killer breakfast!
Will forever recommend to friends and family.

Decent Hotel, far overpriced for the accommodations
And on top of that they make an attempt to scrap more money off you by throttling the wifi down to 2.5 Mbps and offering faster wifi for 6 bucks, sure its just six bucks but still scummy

I have stayed at cheaper hotels that have nicer rooms with proper wifi this one was just ok

The room was okay but the bathroom smelled moldy. I think it was the shower curtains. Sprayed it with Lysol which helped but could still smell it. The bathroom had very little ventilation.

We’ve stayed there a few times and have always slept well in the beds. Issues are resolved quickly and effectively. Tomoko at the front desk is amazing… 5 star review for her! She brought my wife and I complementary wine glasses on our getaway recently. Overall good value here!

Mostly clean room and lobby. The toilet had splatter on the lid and seat from the previous occupant. Pretty gross.

The room's ambient temperature was 25 C. That made sleeping tough because the AC is loud turning off and on and dries out your eyes and throat. We just had to sleep with the covers off.

Breakfast was a bit better than others we've been at.

Used my Marriott Points to treat my friend and his wife as well as myself to rooms for the night.

Upon arrival, I received a free upgrade to a King Suite. I would have liked to have been able to use my suite upgrade nights to upgrade my friend's room as well but the website wouldn't allow me to do this.

Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful.

The King Suite was very nice and the gift bag was both unexpected and greatly appreciated.

Hot breakfast buffet was nice but would have liked sausages more than the thin and greasy bacon.

We were in town to check out craft beer breweries and I just wish the hotel had been closer to where we were going as it was a $20 cab ride each way.

All that said, I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and nice. Very welcoming staff. An expected breakfast, but solid, nice that there's fresh fruit. Coffee bar always available.

The place was so comfortable and thier stuff was so friendly and professional especially the manager Kelliann Ellis she was so kind

Our room was clean, the staff are absolutely amazing they've made our stay memorable. The hot breakfast is great! So much variety. I will definitely be back

The room and buffet were good. But my Brother booked the room with His Credit card only to have the Hotel Charge my credit card instead just more stress to add to me as my Mother's Funeral was the next Day. What's the point of booking online in advance if their going to screw that up.

Good service but they need to clean their bathroom as there were so many stains which were really disgusting

The hotel was extremely noisy throughout the night, with people constantly making a noise in the hallway. The breakfast is also mediocre and tasteless.

Overall relatively good. Rooms and hotel were clean but the pool was a little gross. I think its just purely due to use but wish their filter system was a bit better because there was a lot gross things in the water.

Room was spacious but the pull out needs to replaced. My kids complained that it was really uncomfortable. Aside from that all good!

We stayed here for the long weekend and overall had a very pleasant stay.
Check in was super easy and the room was actually ready a few hours before standard check in time.
Room was super clean and seemed recently renovated. Had microwave, mini fridge and coffee machine. The TV was huge although there were not many decent channels.
Breakfast is included, however the dining area gets super busy and it’s impossible to do social distancing. I found that a bit concerning so we took our food to the room.
Please note that this is a very family oriented hotel, which means that kids are running on the hallway ALL THE TIME. If you have a light sleep this might not be the best hotel for you. Other than that, I think you get a good value for what you pay for.

Stain on sheets, TV didn’t work and shower pressure was awful. Photos are misleading, no greenery (the blinds have a tree pattern on them). I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, overall not a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The staffs were friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and the waterslide.

The breakfast variety was surprisingly good.

Accomodating and reasonable. There was this staff that probably stood out and went above and beyond. Diane did great, she was able to facilitate that intense breakfast rush all with a friendly demeanor and a smile in her mask. I, myself and my family also received excellent treatment and hospitality from the rest of the staff. It was a pleasant stay. Great pool too.

Everything started with the check in. While we were checking in at the moment we were atvthe stage of getting our cards someone pulled fire alarm. It was very loud. I've stayed and waited for 5 minutes seeing that front desk person was busy answering the phone. Then I've asked if it is better to come back later. I was told that it is better to come back. I said ok, and went my my kids that were waiting in the hot car. When I came back in 5 minutes, I've discovered that front desk person was checking in people that were behind me in line. How is it fair and why then front desk wasn't able to complete my check in is still a mystery. When we arrived to our room we discovered that fridge wasn't working completely. But the worst is breakfast! People packed like a sardines in a can. There is no enough supply to provide breakfast to everyone so people staying in line and don't move along other people that having breakfast. It is because there is no room to have a line in that area. I am terrified to think how quickly any virus can spead in this environment. 3 stars are only for the hotel location and newish room renovation.

Stayed here on a recent trip to Kelowna. Chose this location as it is close to where we needed to be. The hotel was clean and modern. The room was a good size and had updated furniture. Love the fact that they have Netflix on the TV - just log in with your own account and watch away! There was a bit of street noise, but not so much that sleep was disturbed - we were in an upper floor room away from the street so this may be more of an issue depending on room location. Service was friendly and professional. Nice that breakfast was included - but more options for vegetarian/vegan would be good - perhaps adding soy milk for the coffee/cereal? Would stay here again.

Staff was super friendly, but the room wasn't super clean.there was a variety of bugs in between the 2 glass windows, so we could open it or we would have been infested.we woke up to a few bugs in our bed and a jumping spider on our ceiling

Really enjoyed our stay. Super clean, spacious and friendly staff. If you want to swim, you will need to book your family in and they are 30 minutes long, it’s an outdoor pool and the hot tub is hot. As for the breakfast, they will give you a sheet of paper with the food items on there for you to check off. In the morning you give it to the ladies in the dining area, once your breakfast is done, they will give it to you on a try to take up to your room. I will definitely stay here again when I come back.

Nice hotel and very friendly, helpful staff. Really some of the best I have encountered. Appreciated my hotel status and gave me a nice upgrade. A few minors issues with TV and internet and they responded quickly and slowed the issues. They even found me a kettle as the capsule coffee makers are not good for tea people. Microwave in this room so assuming others as well. Good breakfast and friendly staff to help. A little way from downtown in a business district. Next to several big box stores and restaurants. Free parking. Extended my stay.

Hotel is recently renovated, courteous staff, free breakfast and parking and all pandemic policies are in place.

Friendly staff, clean rooms as expected except for breakfast was disappointing. I would expect that they would at least serve some potatoes as not everyone eats meat so if you are looking for a hot savory breakfast all you got to choose from is scrambled eggs and toast, unfortunate!

Good place to stay in Kelowna. Food and shopping including Costco is within walking distance. Rooms are clean. Due to COVID masks are highly recommended in public places and hotel offers free ones to people without masks. Breakfast is OK for hotel but takes extra time of waiting as food is given by staff which creates line ups in the morning at the lobby. Lots of parking spots around hotel. Haven't used swimming pool as we preferred city beaches.

It was great. Kids loved the 4 storey waterslide and pool. AC worked great in the rooms. Everyone was nice, would definitely come back again

Great location for touring Kelowna. It's by a a lot of restaurants and grocery stores. Quick drive to the wineries too. The pool area is nice for fun during the heat and with Covid it's perfectly understandable that you need to book a time slot to go so the business can comply with new occupancy policies.

Great location, clean and well appointed rooms and reasonable rates for the quality. Above and beyond service from Daniel the Assistant General Manager. Would recommend and return.

As a business traveler, in the past 2 years I must have spent more than 50 nights in this Hotel. Max 2 nights per stay. Spacious rooms and comfy beds, clean toilets. Decent Hotel.
I check in the Hotel during evening's, sleep, have breakfast and off to work to a different location, in a different Hotel for the next day. So never had a chance to use the services. But the service during breakfast is good and this are re filled immediately.

Only stayed 5 hours. Room was clean, staff was super friendly. They helped make arrangements for a shuttle, which was convenient.

Nice hotel centraly located near shopping centers. 10 minutes to the airport or downtown and the waterfront. For early morning departures you can grab a to go bag with a granola bar water and apple for the road.

Awesome place. Wonderful buffet. Rooms are well maintained. Since most of the rooms have microwave ovens, A porcelain mug in each room would have helped. Internet TV is a lovely addition.

Very friendly staff. Great breakfast with lots selection. Nice, new rooms with lots of space. Pool and workout room. Great location for getting around.

Enjoy the friendly helpful staff and their good service. Will come again often, mostly because of the location, friendly service, convenience to retail, and close to many businesses.

Clean hotel. Worst design I've ever seen. Parking is at the far end, opposite the elevator. If you have a room number *20 or higher, enjoy the hike. You get to walk all the way down the hall back to the end where parking is. Ever hear of an elevator in the middle or on both ends?

Very nice hotel. My view was terrible though. Breakfast is very good and had lots of variety. They had egg, sausage, pork sausage, and the works! I absolutley LOVED the breakfast!

The hotel is nice good breakfast dog friendly and got a pool with a hot tub but when I said hi to a staff they just ignore me but other staff were helpful and nice they even have a fitness room and bathroom.

This Hotel is a standard business hotel. The hotel and rooms are clean and basic. It is located on the main highway thru Kelowna.the staff are super friendly. The breakfast buffet is what you would expect for a North American chain, basic eggs, toast, waffles, etc.

We've never been disappointed with our experiences! The amenities are always wonderful, clean & above board. The staff is extremely helpful & always had a smile. The breakfast accommodates your taste buds & tummy. Thank you for helping to make my 50th birthday weekend that much better.

Brand new rooms, modern style, our room was so quiet during night, Unbelievable. Impeccable bed sheets and smell clean. Rich breakfast, the pool is warm. What else you need from a hotel? Yeah, a bar! I wish they had a place to spend evenings and have a glass of wine.

Great family friendly hotel. Water slide is pretty awesome. Rooms are clean and renovated. Breakfast is a basic continental. We would have loved a cold water station to fill up water bottles. There was a water jug but we would end up draining it to fill our bottles. There is a water station in the fitness room (which is in great condition) but it’s warm and it trickles slowly. Overall Good bang for your buck. We would stay again for sure!

Nice room. If you feel like you need to go for as run they have a few treadmills and a exercise room.

Loved this place.from the amazingly fast water slide- well that's basically where we hung out. So much fun zipping down again and again. Hot tub is warm and relaxing.breakfast is pretty good- loves the dark roast coffee. Our main issue woukd be the rock hard bed. Actually feel a bit sore from my bed.but overall it was a great time. Would go back. Just different bed.:)

Had stayed at the Holiday Inn, next door, afew nights ago but they couldn't accommodate us so we came to this hotel. Very nice and clean.throughout the hotel. There is a pool and water slide so popular with families. A few steps away are two interesting restaurants.a burger place and an Asian restaurant as well as a Booster Juice location. Many other restaurants and shopping nearby makes this an ideal location.

Excellent and modern facilities. The rooms were large and comfortable. Nice pool and slide. Breakfast is excellent value. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Really nice since they have redone the entire hotel! It was well done. Especially love the fitness centre. It’s well equipped with free weights and machines. The breakfast is also really good.

Nice outdoor pool and hot tub (both heated even in winter), good breakfast buffet. Comfortable room though we could hear a lot through the walls.

We had a great staycation at the Fairfield. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, clean and modern design. We had a great time visiting with the staff, very friendly and enjoyable to chat with. Had some rips on the 4 story waterslide and enjoyed a soak in the hot tub. Prior to check out we had a complimentary hot breakfast that was a great perk. Would highly recommend.
