Went for a 40-minute sightseeing cruise and it was fun to see the Osgemeos mural, the Yaletown skyline, BC Place Stadium, Rogers Arena, the Granville & Cambie Street bridges, the former 2010 Athletes Village, and Science World. The cruise was refreshing as well, especially if you were sitting by the open window.

I like to take false creek boat when i go to granville, is fun, beautiful views, you can take you dog with you and is faster, there’s no traffic, you can pay your tike for round or one way, with debit/credit or cash, today the last boat was operating at 9 pm to you have plenty of time to visit the market.

I urge you to avoid the false creek ferry and instead take the aquabus instead. Every single person employed by the false creek ferries is incompetent and out to lunch.

Nice, clean inside and outside of the boat. Come in every 5-7mins. Our captain Will was friendly and informative about the water plus attractions.

Absolutely blown away today when the pilot snarled at the 70 year old woman in front of me to ‘hurry up, I’m getting wet’, as she tried to climb on board in the rain. It was slippery and windy. The guy doing the sunset beach to GI run was just a misery.

I like that you can pay with cash or card, and can select round trip. I found that some of the drivers are really nice, and some are quite rude. A bit of a mixed bag! Beautiful and efficient ride though, and sometimes you can even see seals!

They dropped off on the wrong port even though we told the guy where we going. He practically force us to get off and told us that he already past the port and it was closed so we should walk. He didn't even make the stop at the port we want it to get off. Really bad service for tourists.

Very good experience on these water taxis. The boat captains are all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the ride, it was very stable and didn't rock very much in the water. No motion sickness or anything, very smooth ride.

As we were waiting for the Aquabus at Plaza of Nations, a nice man driving one of the False Creek Ferries saw us waiting. We had just missed the Aquabus, which we already had tickets for, but the driver offered to take us to our next stop, as he was already headed that direction. The ferry was very nice and clean and the driver was super friendly. I wish we had purchased the pass for the False Creek Ferry, as this ferry seemed newer than the Aquabus ferries, plus they had one more stop at the Maritime Museum Ferry Dock, which would have been useful. We ended up walking from Granville Island to the Museum of Vancouver (highly recommended!), which was a little too far for our little one. Next time!

Took at one way ferry ride from the aquatic center to granville island and it was sooo enjoyable, my family loved it, even though it was only a 4 mins ride. Costs $3.75 and you can pay on the boat with cash or card. Cute boat, great staff, excellent service in general.

I witnessed an elderly man who was captain of a vessel crash into my boyfriend in his dinghy, along with other boats in the heather civic marina. Super disrespectful and dangerous maneuver, blatant disregard for property. He laughed at us. There are proper ways to drive a marine vessel without potentially causing injury/death/thousands of dollars in damage. This happened 12/9/2022. Maybe it’s time for him to retire?

Good jolly staff. Captain Kathryn is especially professional and knowledgeable. The company obviously takes care of their staff. I've been using the service for 15 years.

Overall this is a fairly decent little ferry. Not too bad of an experience, we took a 45 minute round trip. The staff were friendly and polite. Boats are somewhat small but can carry up to 12 people.

Absolutely horrible. I would not recommend this ferry service by any means. You need to train your drivers.

Took the ferry to Granville island. Was a pleasant experience. The skipper (I assume that is what she is called) was friendly. I also saw her interact with other groups and she was fantastic with them too! Great service for getting around quickly in the area. I don't like boats but highly recommend their service.

The captain/skipper (?) gave a sticker to my kiddo and my kiddo still has it, recalling the fun ferry ride we took weeks ago. So thanks for the kind skipper for doing that:)

There seems to be way more false creek ferries than aqua bus ferries on the Saturday sunny afternoon I was on the docks, at least from the Roundhouse port. 3 false creek ferries were going to Science World and not Granville Island so we had to wait, but that’s the norm for these things especially if the ferry is full (max capacity appears to be ten riders).

I really enjoy the view while taking a cruise on the water. There’s two choices on the water around False Creek, either the false creek ferry or aqua bus. Both services have friendly skippers and basically its either service provider with slightly different ports. Don’t limit yourself by buying round way tickets, just pay on board if you’re not sure which service you’ll take (they do take cash, credit card on board but also you could buy a day pass online I think) ; if you prepay for return tickets you’ll be stuck waiting for the right aqua service with enough seats to take you home so just ask which stop they’re going and they’ll take you if there’s enough people heading that way. Super cute that they don’t have a set route and its based on majority rules, which means you could be waiting for a while haha.

Rusty was our captain. The ride was smooth and beautiful. We used the hop on hop off to go from Yaletown to Granville Island to Kitsalano Point and back again. Beautiful, leisurely ride. Rusty was kind and hilarious in a dry way.

Thank you guys for putting on that synchronized show before the fireworks. It was the highlight of my night.

My observation is that this company does not admit to any wrong doing. After reading Hadley's review, I no longer use this service, I remember being there when the lady fell into the water. Although she did not seem hurt, I offered my information as a witness. This incident occurred 3 years ago. I don't know how this accident happened but the company should not deny this. I am not a malicious person, but stopped using this service as I encountered very rude staff.

I have been using this Ferry service for 30 years as it is situated in front of my home. During the course of my commuting between Granville Island and the Aquatic Centre I have seen some terrible things including a woman who fell in the dirty water in the middle of winter because the person docking the boat did not pay attention to his passengers as he was talking to someone while they were leaving the boat. The boat moved too far away from the shore.
Today was the last straw. When was about to board the boat the driver rudely yelled at me "Aquatic Centre? " I have a walking disability and, once again.the boat was too far from the shore for me to board the boat without tripping. I had to bring it to his attention. Once I boarded the boat, it seemed over crowded making it an unpleasant short ride. To get off the boat I had the same problem and had to bring it to the driver's attention.
During the height of the pandemic last year, they let someone on the boat with obvious Covid symptoms. The list goes on. This is the last time I will be takin this ferry service. I will start to take the Aqua bus although it is not as convenient to get to.

Beautiful view from small ferry, staffs are kind. Whenever I have visitors from other place, I bring them to false creek ferry from Granville island, they really enjoyed! One of beautiful recommendation routines for visitors! Enjoy.

Affordable rates and friendly service. I’ve never had a poor experience using False Creek Ferries. Definitely recommended, especially if you’re coming in from out of town.
16 November 2021 6:23
It got us where we wanted. The employees were hit or miss but as long as they got us where we wanted it didn’t matter that much to us. If you are wanting to explore multiple parts of the route definitely get a day pass.
09 November 2021 10:37
Their 40 mins tour is more like riding a transit bus. It’s not like they point and tell you things.
22 October 2021 22:57
We are in a middle of a pandemic. I was shocked that the boat sailing from the Aquatic Centre to Granville Island was packed like sardines and most of the people were not wearing masks. Furthermore one of the passengers appeared to have severe flu symptoms (he may have had covid). This is very irresponsible of the company to allow this. Allowing a person with obvious COVID 19 symptoms on a boat that is packed like sardines is horrible.

We told the boat driver THREE times that we needed to get to Olympic Village from the Aquatic Center stop. Right after he finished taking all of our payments is when he noticed that he had messed up, he had only charged us the fee for Granville Island and back even after we'd told him multiple times that we were headed to Olympic Village. At that point we were already at the Granville Island stop and there was a large group of people waiting to get onto the boat. He said we could either get off there or pay 3x more if we wanted to go to Olympic Village, we were so annoyed that we decided on getting off and taking a Lyft from Granville to Olympic Village instead.

Beautiful place with affordable day pass. Can use multiple times & stop by taking bikes from here.

We enjoyed our ferry ride to Granville island! The ferry was on time and the service extremely friendly.
21 September 2021 19:32
If you want a friendly pleasant service I DO NOT recommend this company. Employees are unhelpful and unfriendly. Lack of direction and communication with customers and each other.
14 September 2021 23:02
Just a useless, horrible experience. Our ferry driver/guide just did care to be there and was awful. I do NOT recommend wasting your money on this.
04 September 2021 21:37
We bought the hop on hop off tickets for the day and I’m so happy that we did. This is a great way to see Vancouver on a tight schedule. The kids loved it and the operators were so friendly and helpful.
13 August 2021 21:58
They take social distancing way too seriously and are no longer a practical way to get anywhere, if a boat is 1/3 full you have to wait 30-40 minutes even though everyone wears masks
05 August 2021 21:35
Very kind and friendly staff at the front desk in granville island, and boat drivers as well. We love to take short rides with kids for fun. And it's a very convenient way to cross the water without traffic:)
We've been coming every summer for fun!
Thank you guys!

Saw one of the ferry operator trying to physically fight a customer. That guy had anger management issues. Definitely don't want to be on his ferry.
