They have been there at the drop of a hat to take care of my dog. No waiting it's appreciated.

I used to really trust the vet's here. Last time I went was crazy, I don't even know if I actually saw a vet or just a tech. Sad to say I won't be going back.

My experience was really great. I had a same day appointment (which was on a Sunday). The vets took the time to explain everything to me, with no pressure as to what choices I should make. After leaving the appointment the vets took the time to answer my questions over the phone. I would definitely go back, if necessary.

Emma has been coming to Family Pet Hospital since she came to live with me at five weeks, she is now eleven and a happy, healthy puppy. We have been treated with knowledge and respect here, thank you very much.

I can't say enough about Family Pet Hospital because it's also pet parents safe place. Dr. Raj has not only taken excellent care of my critters, he's taken excellent care of me! When I had to put Alfred down, never have I seen a vet in tears, apologizing & telling me they didn't want to do it, but had to. They are all amazing & as they have grown, it's still the excellent personal service! Thank you to all of you!

This vet office is absolutely disgusting! I called to have my daughter's rat who was actively dying to be put down. The vet quoted a rat who doesn't even weigh a pound to be put down $150! This is sick and taking advantage of people when they are going through heart break. I will NEVER take any of my animals back to this vet. Staff need to find somewhere else to work because these guys are only in it for the money and clearly not for the animals.

I took my sick older cat in to be put down and the charge was $400 without receiving ashes and $600+ to receive ashes.

Great staff! Our poor puppy suddenly found himself blind and was scared. When the vet was checking him he snapped and pinched a leg with his teeth! I was so embarrassed but after a moment out of the room he was back and able to soothe our boy.

Great vet great service took my gf puppy in there and they took awesome care of Velvet awesome service and there were great with the puppy thank you for your services and time!

Fantastic experience, I brought my cat in after suspecting he got worms. They were quick and friendly while checking him out. My cat was also completely at ease the whole time. Will absolutely be recommending Family Pet Hospital to my family and friends.

So let me tell you a story, not one that I am proud of either.

I was at a camping trip nearby Chilliwack during the summer of 2022.
My friend and I, along with her two dogs, were going to be there for a few days.
Now, this camping trip was a bit of a larger meet up.
Go into the forest where nobody can hear you, make as much noise as you can, chill, relax, have fun.and best of all, we had magic mushrooms.

Now, on the final day, the bag of mushrooms we had were left out.
We had a special spot for them, somewhere away from the dogs, but after we took the shrooms, we forgot to put them in that special spot.

We had our trip, a good 8 hours later, we decided to go back to our tents (us two, along with the dogs) and sleep.

When we woke up (wasn't a long sleep), turned out the younger pup of the two had been about halfway through the bag.
We immediately tried to make the dog throw them up, but mushrooms mess with the gag reflex, no dice.

We rushed them to this animal hospital as fast as we could, and they immediately started to take care of him.
Incredible care, fast service, it was like an angel decended down on us from up above to save this pup.

Cannot recommend this place enough!

Moral of the story, we will be either leaving the mushrooms at home next time, or the dogs with her boyfriend.

Oh, and the bill at the end wasn't bad either, if you care about that kind of thing.

We had to say goodbye to our sweet boy 3 weeks ago and someone had recommended we go to Family Pet Hospital as my other vet was out of town. All I can say is given the circumstances the vet and staff were extremely caring and compassionate with me during this very difficult decision and time. The vet walked me through each step of the way and made sure I had adequate time during the whole thing to say my goodbyes. In moments like these all we need is kindness and that's exactly what all the staff gave me. For that I am very thankful.

A couple weeks ago I had to say goodbye to my sweet boy. To say I was a wreck was an understatement, but the vets and assistants were fabulous as ever. They were able to provide me with a few ink paw prints to remember him by. I’ve taken him here in the past and everytime was more than fantastic. I will most definitely take all my other pets here for any future needs. I couldn’t recommend this vet office enough! So compassionate and caring.

Awesome hours allow for getting last minute appointments. Staff are friendly and fees charged are better than most clinincs

We had a wonderful 1st experience here. Our puppy was very comfortable with the Dr. Everything was explained to us throughout the process and we're looking forward to a long healthy relationship with our new vet

I took my cat in Sunday morning. He was having respiratory distress. The young girl at the desk said you don't have an appointment, it's busy. She couldn't find me in her computer and said maybe you're in the paper and pointed to the wall of files. I said can my cat see someone, his breathing is laboured. She went in the back and came out and said no they're too busy come back tomorrow morning at 10am. I said if he makes it til then. I went home. My cat was struggling to breathe, while screaming between gasps. I took him downstairs and tried to comfort him. He kept struggling to breathe, panting, while I lay on the floor beside him, watching him die. It was horrible for my poor cat and myself. I called back a few hours later and told them my cat had died and would be bringing him back in tomorrow to be cremated. I went back the next day at my appointment time and brought him in a box. I placed it on the floor cuz it was heavy. He laid there for a long time til one of the young girls took him away. I mentioned what had happened to the other people waiting and they were shocked. I will never take another pet of mine there. My heart is broken. I tried to help my cat but was turned away. I'm so sorry. I couldn't save you myself.

Night Doctor was unprofessional - did not introduce himself, only looked at me (male) while speaking about me and my fiancée’s animal. He referred to my animal as “it” and was not gentle at all. He seemed irritated at questions I asked and did not make me feel comfortable asking anything. He prescribed two medication right off the bat for something he said would resolve within a few days. Not a trustworthy doctor, bad experience will not come back

Thank you so much family pet, they truly take care of your pets …. I’ve been with them for a couple of years and have a very stubborn dog and they taken such good care of him, from their front staff to their team of doctors everyone is so nice and caring ….

My dog has been here for years and yesterday April 30 2022 I called as my dog was choking on something it was horrible I call the clinic and explained the situation to the receptionist not that was at 5 30 pm they were supposed to be open to 9 pm but she talked to the veterinarian and what made me so mad was she said they decided to close early and there was nothing they could do I was so mad as I told them I live 5 minutes away and could have him there quickly.
So they said there was nothing they could do for me and my dig and I was furious as my dig has been with them for 9 year now so I am now changing Vets as they don't care about animals and could of did something so I had to take him to Abbotsford emergency and they took care of the problem it took 4 hours but my d9g is back home and healthy. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VETS TO ANYONE WHO REALLY VALUES THERE ANIMALS LIFE AS THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AS THEY COULD HAVE DID SOMETHING BUT CHOSE NOT TO.
They are a horrible company and I am finding a new vet for my animals I am so mad at this company for the way myself and dog were treated!

This vet is amazing! They gave me a great deal to deworm all of my animals and were able to get us in quickly and even accommodated us running late to our appointment with no issues. I liked the vet we saw, Dr. Brar. He seemed to be a true animal lover which is a lovely quality every vet should have. 5 stars. Thanks guys!

I recently (last week) had put my darling old cat to sleep. I was incredibly impressed with the amount of compassion and kindness while I was a wreck saying goodbye to my girl whom I had since a kitten. I don’t remember the name of the young girl working (she had lots of tattoos on her arms) but she spoke so softly to my cat in her final moments as they prepared the IV spot on her arm. The vet (with the white beard) was very kind and explained how the process was going to go. It was a tough day for myself and my family, but we know that my Bella is no longer suffering. Thank you Family Pet Hospital for your gentle care and sympathy as my girl crossed the rainbow bridge.

This is one of the best places to take your pets very knowledgeable and friendly staff and their prices are very reasonable

Late on family day my dog swallowed a fish hook. We are not from Chilliwack but they squeezed us in as an emergency and we’re able to perform surgery to remove the hook. Staff is great and caring. Prices seemed reasonable all things considered.

I have been coming to this vet for 13 years. They have always been caring, helpful, and professional.i have never worried if my dog has to stay there overnight, they have always taken great care of my animals.

I give it a 3 star but I'm biased to pet hospitals and veterinarians I feel like they always try to get you for more than they need to but that's my personal opinion don't take that in regards to my review for the most part they are definitely a veterinarian they're hard to come by in good manners

They got me in right away when my dog was having problems. Their fees are all a good 5-15 dollars less than the vet I had been going to and that adds up A LOT.

I was offered options and felt respected when I didn’t go for all the expensive testing right away, I’ve never had a vet do that, they’re usually so black and white. But we took it slow and my dog healed with some medications and I saved $600 because she didn’t need all the testing I was offered. We will continue to go here.

My pet needed help at 8 pm, family pet hospital took her in right away and took great care of her and explained everything to us in great detail, thank you for your care.

Nobody else touches my animals but these people and very caring and helpful and I really appreciate what they do for my animals

The vets at Family Pet Hospital are very caring and compassionate people. They listen to your concerns about your pet and offer solutions to help every time we go. I would also like to complement the staff because they are very helpful and never make you feel rushed.

100% do not recommend this vet. We brought our dog here FOUR times for the same issue every single time we said this is our _ time coming for this and they act like they have never seen us. Just kept giving antibiotics. Finally told us we NEED to do a full body x-ray which gave us zero information.and was not needed. When we said “ this is our 4th time here, a $900 bill and we still know nothing” they act surprised we have been four times.and let us know its “ just hereditary problems” once the $900 scan is finished. “ to know anything more we have to do more specialty scans” contradict themselves beyond belief and I dont know how you dont know we have been 4 times within 6 months when its all recorded.

DO NOT GO HERE THEY JUST WANT MONEY. Will never return and will be telling EVERYONE.

We are traveling and our miniature dachshund became sick, not being able to take her to our regular vet we made an appointment here. Everyone was so kind & caring, she was diagnosed & treated over 2 days. We're back on the road again & our little Gracie is good as new! Thankyou Family Pet Hospital!

I have been bringing my animals to this vet for years and years and years. Most of my experiences have been decent; however, today I had a horrible experience.

I didn't recognize the vet today. He seemed very angry from the get-go.

The vet tech tried to take my chihuahua's rectal temperature a few times and eventually got a reading.

I had brought my dog in for a cough that comes and goes. The first thing the vet did was shame me for not coming in sooner.

Once the vet assessed my dog, he suggested several hundreds of dollars worth of diagnostic testing. I expected this. When I was hesitant to jump into rigorous testing, the vet became noticeably irritated.

The dog is relatively new to me. His previous vet had already done bloodwork and diagnosed a heart condition, but he did not recommend medication at that time. This vet didn't bother to ask about what tests had already been done for the condition we were already aware of.

When I asked if we could try a steroid for the cough (just a question) he said he could never do that to a living thing, that we are dealing with a living thing, not a non-living thing. He really seemed very angry, and instead of just politely answering the question, he painted us as bad people who didn't care about our animal. We asked if we could try medicating for the heart condition, and he said he would agree to do that since he heard it with the stethoscope today, but it might not work, and "if he's still alive, you can come back for diagnostics". Um, pardon me, sir?

He then told us our dog has a fever. When we told him the vet tech had trouble getting a reading, he decided to recheck the temperature. He shoved the entire thermometer length (3+"?) into this 5lb chihuahua's rectum. Of course my dog cried out in pain. I was shocked and am now worried he could have punctured my dog's intestine. Also, there was no fever after-all.

The whole experience was very uncomfortable. In future, if I return to this office, I will be requesting a different vet.

Also, for the record, I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this vet. Multiple surgeries. It's insulting for him to act like I don't care about my animals. And even if I hadn't spent all that money previously, it's really not his place to judge someone for the decisions they make about their pets.

Edit: it's the next day now, and both of us are still super upset about what went down yesterday. We looked up how far the rectal thermometer should be inserted in a chihuahua and it's 1cm to 1" MAXIMUM. That was traumatizing for us and our poor pup. Unfortunately, this experience destroyed any trust I have in this place. That vet needs to take a good look at himself.

Easy, well priced, quick and spectacular they did a great job with neutering and tail docking on my skiddish lil pittie pressa he has healed completely and is doing much better than he was with that poor broken tail! Thank you for your care and patience with my baby!

I have a 90lb nervous scaredy-cat of a dog and they were so understanding and did everything they could to help make her visit as stress free as possible and it means a lot to me. Also I’d like to say that the prices were great! I will definitely be recommending! Thankyou family pet hospital.

Doctor took on a job he could not handle and took our money. This vet is inexperienced and a terrible communicator. Makes the girl assistants carry around huge dogs that weigh 100+ pounds doesn’t seem overly concerned about doing his job. If you want a caring and understanding vet and your pet has any issue that seems semi serious please get them proper care and don’t take then to this joke of a “hospital”.

Vet didn't have muc bedside manner with my puppy or kittens. Also, I asked a few questions that we not addressed or not addressed properly. Needless to say, I am going to another office now.

This clinic is behind on the times in veterinary medicine. They prescribe medications that have been proven to damage cats (ace promazine), they have AWFUL monitoring during surgery and don't do any monitoring of vitals during dental procedures. They will do anything they can to cover their butts if things go wrong. They treat their staff awful and require them to do tasks well above their pay grade.
But the place is cheap! You get what you pay for.

I took my cat to this clinic to get an exam because he wasn’t eating. The vet hardly examined him at all and told us he wasn’t eating because he was being picky. He didn’t do or suggest blood work or anything else to ensure our cat was ok. We trusted his diagnosis but our cat was still not getting better so we took him to another clinic. The vet examined our cat told us he had a mass the size of a small orange in his stomach and that we should do blood work and an X-ray. The X-ray confirmed the mass and the blood work showed our cat was in stage 4 kidney failure the reason he wasn’t eating. Sadly our cat is no longer with us. I wish the vet at family vet would have done a proper exam on my cat. Maybe he still would be alive. Shame on you.

I have had good experiences here with the 2 male vets and then a new lady vet came on site. My pomeranian had 2 puppies that are 8 weeks old and they got into something toxic in my backyard. Calling at 7pm frantic as they were not responding and their heads were bobbing and eyes rolling, I called to say we were rushing in. We were told not to as they were busy! I have referred my parents, sons, and neighbors to this office. I was horrified! Luckily I found a vet that was leaving for the evening and said absolutely bring them asap. Both puppies were treated Immediately. I have transferred my pets files to this office along with my parents, sons and neighbors. Very cold. Won't be back. Pet issues aren't always by appointment! Why say your OPEN if your not! Bye

I am not even a client at this pet hospital and they got me in within two hours of calling and talking to reception.on a Sunday. My cat had a urinary obstruction and was still under the weather a couple days after he was discharged. The vet was super reassuring, kind, and only did what was needed (no surprises charges). I also found his fee was half the price of our normal vets. I would highly recommend this place. (I also never right reviews unless I’m really impressed).

Although, parking was cozy, the staff was very knowledgeable in their field and were understanding to the needs of pet parents

I Booked an appointment with my puppy here because I knew he needed to see a vet ASAP and they were able to get me in that day, which no other vet in Chilliwack was able to do. When we arrived they were so kind and loving to him, I knew right away we were in the right place. We went in because he suddenly had a giant lump on his side and he was starting to act lethargic, so as a pet owner I was very anxious to find out what was wrong. As soon as Dr. Grewal looked at the lump he knew it was an abscess, and he drained it immediately. Our pup had a very high fever as well so draining the abscess and giving him antibiotics/anti-inflammatory as soon as possible was crucial to his health. We were there roughly one hour, they allowed us to stay longer than the appointment and urged us to come back right away (even if they were busy all day) if his condition worsened. They truly cared about me and my puppy. I get very light headed with blood etc.and I had to leave the room when they were draining the abscess. Dr. Grewal made sure I was doing OK and reassured me that my pup was going to be just fine. His temperature went down within the hour we were there, and by the time we got home he was already looking more like himself. By far exceptional service, and Dr. Grewals knowlege of 30+ years definitely showed. I also must say the price point was extraordinary, I expected the visit to be triple what we were charged. Very, very happy I found them and will not go anywhere else.

It was pretty okay. Was told the Vet would only be a few moments, but that turned into around 20 minute wait. I do get that you can get busy so that is what it is. The Techs were nice, but I felt pretty talked down to and juged by the Vet. I saw her label my dogs ear infection as severe. I've seen severe ear infections, and I'm sure she has as well. This is not one. No ear infection is fun, but to try and play it up like I'm neglectful, and acting like my dog has being continuously suffering (when that's not the case) is an awful feeling, and not a great thing to do to a potential client. I got him in within a week while i've seen people let their dog suffer for months. Over all, a mediocre experience that left a bad taste in my mouth.

FPH has being treating our animals for years and everytime they have done a great job we feel confident bringing them in and knowing they are in good hands.

They were professional but still another vet who wont do any testing to care about finding what's really wrong! Had to ask for a blood test because I wasn't going home without answers! Who goes home knowing something is wrong but a dr says nothing's wrong? They did everything in front of me which made me feel safe, then they took her out of the room to take blood? Did they really take her blood? I dont see a spot on her were a needle would have been? So not trustings my vets, this is number 4?

Great experience after another vet totally bungled my dog’s pregnancy. They saved us and gave us peace of mind.

Not a patient here but had an emergency with my dog and my regular vet couldn't see him, they took me in right away, it was clean and the staff was very professional and friendly. Vet seemed knowledgeable and the price was reasonable.

I know when I have anything done for my pet that I'm not being taken advantage of financially and feel that they truly care about my pet and I.

Its clean very reasonable in pricing just wish doctor was more verbal extracting information about you pet can be tricky

I brought my older cat in because she had suddenly become paralyzed in her hind legs. They squeezed me in before closing. All the staff were very kind. The vet was very clear and honest about my cats condition. She gave us a few possible treatment considerations but was very factual about my cats pain and suffering because of her stroke. I never once felt rushed or pushed to make a decision even though the clinic had gone past operating hours. In the end I decided to humanely euthanize my cat. At which time the vet and staff were super considerate to my feelings. They were calm, professional and made this procedure as easiy as possible for my beautiful kitty. I will definitely go back to Family Pet Hospital in the future.

Best vet experience I've ever had with my dog! They were patient and caring! Anyone who has had any problems in the past with vets and your dog being scared they really need to go here.

I have recently moved from where I could not get to my vet of 14 years. It was sad but had to have one closer. I took my old dog as she had an abscess. As my daughter is a patient at least her cats are, I went to Family pet. I was worried as only ever using my last vet I didn’t want my little one upset. To say the least I am so pleased with the care and consideration I received from this vet. I could not be happier and Muffin liked him as much as I do. I am lucky that I have found one that cares for your pet and your pocket book. Will not be going to any other vet. Not only that their hours are perfect for all. Give them a try you will be glad you did.

Immensely pleased! My cat stopped eating due to two sore teeth. I went to another nearby vet (rhymes with "Better Fountain") and was charged $460 - for what I thought was teeth pulling! Turns out I had paid for an assessment and bloodwork! They told me she had bad teeth - what? !? !? You didn't pull them? Paid that bill, THEN got a quote for $900 IN ADDITION to the $460 I had already paid. I was TICKED.

I then went to Family Pet. They saw me right away, and pulled the teeth that same day! Cost was $522 total, versus the $460 + $900 ($1360!) at "rhymes with Better Fountain". Family Pet has earned my business and trust.

Dr. Raj is an absolute dream. The list is too long of the qualities that he has but i'll give it ago. He's kind, Understanding, caring, down to earth and easy to talk to. I will recommend him to my friends 100%. Thank you for everything.

I'm very appreciated for all works that they have done to my kitten and my puppy. Recently, my 5 months old kitten diagnosed with Acute Renal Failure. He was really in bad condition and we thought that we might lose him. The doctors and staffs tried their best to save him and I'm very thankful for that. I'm recommended this pet hospital to anyone who looks for the vets to take care of their fur babies or even their loved animals. They are not only know what they are doing but they are truly care for the animals and the owner.

Staff were friendly, helpful and very understanding. The vet listened and was very informative on what course of action should be taken and options. The price was by far lower then any other clinics and when i realized i didnt have enough to cover the entire perscription rather then billing me which i didnt want they broke the perscription down to weekly so i could afford it. My dog was nervous but the staff were caring n gentle. I will definitely be coming back for great & affordable service. I would recommend it to friends.

I had to put my cat, "Squirt" to sleep.

I chose Family Pet Hospital because they are compassionate and professional, and mindful of the fact that this was an incredibly sad time for my wife and I, and especially for my buddy of 18 years. They helped to calm him down (he hadn't liked the car ride) and he was much more relaxed when he softly faded away.

It's hard to be positive at this time of loss, but the folks here were very considerate and left us to our mutual tears in the privacy of the room. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us through this difficult time, and for making his passing as painless as possible.

Great prices, freindly staff, helpful and seem to be quite competent. My only concern is that it's small and crowded and kind of messy. Understandable when busy, but it would be nicer if it was neat and tidy

Horrible experience! Brought my cat in to get looked at after he had gotten attacked by another cat and had an small wound (stopped bleeding) so I wanted to just have it cleaned up to make sure it wouldn’t get infected and the veterinarian hardly looked at it or ask any question to how it happened, honestly seemed to not really care at all and then wouldn’t do anything else without sedating my cat to which I said no. Then proceeded to try and persuade me into the sedation which would have cost me around $400 for a minor cut that was not infected. Went to another hospital after this and they washed his wound without any sedation and only cost me around $80 and my cat is feeling better already.

Sunday. Our vet was closed. Being told several times by others we had no choice but to drive 45 mins to an hour into Langley to a Emergency vet there.

Family Pet Hospital took us in and saw one of our beloved Spitz immediately who has been in a bad way. Dr Grewal was calm, listened intently and asked all the right questions so to best diagnosis any possible serious concerns. Our fur baby is now resting comfortably for now so we’re hoping for the best.

They were great! My puppy was a wee bif hyper to say the least and they were still able to get his nails clipped. Ntm he didn't even flinch when he got the shot n are the meds (wrapped in a treat of course) with little effort as well. Oh and the prices? Amazing so fair they truly are great!

The night before we went away this happens. These guys were awesome. Took him in right away, was awesome with him. Can't ask for better. Thanks guys for being there and taking care of Wyatt.
