Very good Thai food and very quick service. Will definitely stop again when driving through cranbrook. Only $60 for a starter and two mains.

The food is addictive and full of flavor! I get lunch here twice a week and never get sick of it. A must try.

If you want to treat your customers rudely at least make good food…

The middle aged woman who took my order didn’t greet me or say anything & when I asked for a menu she pointed at one of the many empty tables with menus on it & walked away.

The green curry chicken had virtually no chicken & the entire dish was basically just curry sauce.

Will not be returning to this restaurant to give them business ever again as it’s clearly not appreciated.

Family Thai serves sumptuous authentic Thai cuisine just as good as you'd find in Thailand. Their "Thai Gang Ped" red curry with peas, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, and squash plus chicken was delicious. Also I've tried the drunken noodles — savory and delectable— and the pad Thai with tamarind sauce — not my favourite, but not bad. Spring rolls come in plates of 4 with plum sauce and are fresh and tasty. The iced milk tea was fabulous. Excellent service too.

I’ve had a lot of Thai food all over the world in my travels, the authenticity and flavour here is up there with some of the best I’ve had.

Low key with great food and excellent service. Kyla was awesome. Definitely will be returning here on my next visit to Cranbrook.

The food was fantastic, great flavour. Next time I'll move up to a 2 on the spicy scale. Service from Kyla was fast and friendly, and it was a nice touch that the owner also came out to make sure everything was perfect.

We had vegi spring rolls, masaman beef curry, and pad see yew. All the dishes were super delicious. Very authentic Thai food. The customer service was excellent too. Happy tummy?

Family Thai is always fresh, tasty, and quick and delivered with a smile. It's nice to see the owner each time I go, she's so friendly and accommodating. My favourite Thai place in town.

Food is fairly traditional and great flavor, the service was ok considering the amount of patrons but the price was a bit high. The quality of the food was a huge seller but the other parts made us think about if I would return soon

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, one of my favourite places to eat in town, even if we can only get take-out currently because of covid. The owners are wonderful people, and incredibly friendly. I highly recommend the Pad Thai with Tamarind, and the spring rolls. So good!

Food is always great, the staff always friendly and the price is completely average making this a hidden gem for cranbrook. I love thai food and this is one of my favorites.

Delicious food. Polite friendly service at the door. It's take-out only right now. If you like options of 1-5 on a spicy scale look no further. Also completely reasonable prices and portions.

Ordered chicken and cashew with rice. Absolutely amazing. Lots of vegetables. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Loved the cashews. Very healthy and tasty.

One of the best in town. Can’t go wrong with anything. Curries are all great. Beef salad-an oxymoron for your tastebuds-num. Most notably is the tamarind pad thai that is good enough to eat everyday.

So this is the place for thai and great service. Food is always piping hot and not smothered in bland sauce. You can see the veg and the meat. It's good size portions as well. Owners are super nice people and approachable and kind. It's often busy during peak rush and well worth the price which is incredibly reasonable.

Food is good here. Only giving three stars because it’s literally labeled a “family restaurant, ” and there’s only two options for kids: chicken nuggets or fries, not together, separate. My kids ordered off the main menu and got enough food for a week. Kids portion sizes would be a great addition to the menu.

There are no options for kids.the food we did get did not taste good.the worst part was that we ordered one dish that was super bad and could not even eat it. We asked if they could remove it or exchange it for something else and they said NO. We eat out 4-5 times a week and will definitely not be returning

The people at Family Thai were lovely, but unfortunately the food was not. My sister had a decent stir-fry, but my green curry didn't have any flavour at all and neither did my coconut rice. I don't think I'll be going back.
