I was looking for a makeup artist and hair stylist for a New Year’s Eve look. Fancy. Faye’s skills came to mind. After confirming she was available, I booked. Her salon is conveniently located downtown. I arrived with clean hair and skin exfoliated and moisturized. It makes a big difference. Don’t forget those steps! Faye discussed with me my thoughts and style for the evening. She asks pertinent questions and has such a great eye for detail and fashion, I knew I was in great hands. She works quickly and with precision. When I was sitting there watching the whole look come together I was already super impressed. She knew how to work with my facial shape and when I asked for a particular brow shape, that’s what I got. Faye is truly a master stylist and make up artist. When she was finished I was blown away at how great I looked. I felt ready to tackle the evening in a fancy gown and my self confidence was just at a high. I got exactly what I wanted and then some. Her hair styling is off the chain amazing. My hair is notoriously difficult to work with and always turns out flat and lame. Not this time. My hair was perfection. I highly recommend Faye and her colleagues for your beauty needs. I had my lashes done by one of her junior lash techs Alice who did a wonderful job. Faye is also lovely to chat with. She’s funny and effervescent. Thanks again Faye for making me look so fab after a long and exhausting holiday season. I was absolutely red carpet ready!

Working with Faye Smith for my wedding was an extremely positive experience from start to finish. Starting with admin, the team was responsive and quick to reply. I added 2 services after booking them, and they were highly responsive and flexible in updating my day-of timeline.

I worked with Anaibys for hair, and Isabella for make-up. During my trial, both were attentive and collaborative, to give me the look I wanted exactly. On the day of the wedding, both were on time, and very efficient as they worked through 5 people for hair and makeup. All the bridesmaids received exactly the hair and makeup they were looking for. Most importantly to me, both added a calm & cool, stress-free energy to the bridal suite as the bridal party was getting ready.

My usual hairdresser unfortunately needed to go out of town on my wedding weekend, and she recommended I try reaching out to Faye Smith Agency. I sent them an email and they promptly replied the next day.
After providing some information about our wedding, I was provided with three portfolios to choose from. I liked Cherrie's style and decided to book a trial. The trial went great! I asked for a half up-do with a braid and she nailed it. She also made the awesome recommendation to rent hair extensions (which were a fantastic price) to make my hair look even better. I had to reach out a few times to change my appointment time and schedule a color match for the extensions but the Coordinators were awesome and always super quick to reply. I highly recommend the Faye Smith Agency. They will make sure you look absolutely amazing no matter the occasion.

I really enjoyed working with Faye Smith Agency for my wedding. The artists did an incredible job on my own hair and makeup and my Bridesmaid's makeup. I felt wonderful, and so did my Bridesmaids! I worked with Sima, and she was so skilled, warm, and lovely to chat with. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to Faye Smith Agency multiple times for lash extensions as well as makeup and hair for headshots. They always do a great job and have flexible scheduling. My most recent makeup artist was so sweet and kind. I was having a sad day and she cheered me right up!

This company needs to learn that there are mature brides! We don’t want to look like a Barbie or care that your going to be late for your Botox! This was a Covid wedding at the Fairmont waterfront so we kinda of rolled with it all but my hair n make up were sooo sad, our wedding coordinator helped me do my own hair! Pin curls and red lipstick, not much too ask for def is not worth the $300 + tip

I had my hair and makeup done by Faye and her team, along with my bridesmaids and mother. Their work was absolutely stunning and everything I had hoped for. My trial went extremely well and both artists took my feedback and requests and turned a vision into a reality. The whole experience was so wonderful I even booked Faye for my family photos a few years later! 10/10 recommend using Faye and her extremely talented team!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. We booked 2 makeup artists and 1 hair stylist for a wedding in DT Vancouver. One of the makeup artist was late for half an hour because apparently their reasoning was that she misread the suite number and buzzer. The hair stylist was supposed to show up at 6am, we PAID for extra early morning fees and travel cost, etc, well she didn't show up until 8: 20am! Apparently there was issue with her car? But it wasn't like we were in the middle of no where, the bridal suite is in DT Vancouver. Well my friend the bride was so stressed out at that point literally 2 bridesmaid including me just did our own hair to reassure her that it wasn't a bad start to her wedding day. When this super late hair stylist finally arrived, she had trouble parking as well so we had to go out and get her AND PAID FOR HER PARKING because she had card issues? We didn't even get an apology. When we complained to the agency, they only refunded us the bare minimum and told us the artist will not pay us back for parking. But like, we paid extra just to cover these extra costs? This entire experience was just so awful, not only was the communication exceptionally terrible, the hair stylist didn't even do a good job on the only one bridesmaid's hair that she did because she arrived so late there was literally no time for anyone else. We will never recommend this service to anyone, and I highly suggest booking elsewhere.

The worst professional makeup I have ever received! I don't often leave bad reviews, but in this case I feel it’s best to warn other brides-to-be. I had booked Faye Smith Agency for my bridal hair & makeup, as well as for my mother & bridal party. I was left so appalled by the makeup I received at my trial (even after requesting the bright pink cheeks to be reduced, the uneven, men’s-looking eyebrows to be sorted out, the heavy Avril Lavigne-style eyeliner to be reduced, etc), that I ended up canceling my whole booking. Despite booking more than 10 months before my wedding, I was never given the option to choose my MUAH artist. When I expressed how unhappy I was after my trial, there was not the option to switch to a different MUAH artist. They even tried to charge me for a second trial! (Only agreed to a free one after numerous calls & emails back & forth, & a lot of awkwardness). We’re not talking just wanting to change the lip colour on the day - I walked out looking like a cross between a drag queen & a clown (nothing wrong with drag queens - but not the caked-on look I was going for on my wedding day!). I did not feel pretty, or look like myself, or a bride, at all. I felt so self conscious walking back through town looking like this. Both my fiancé, my friends & my mom thought it looked awful as well. You don’t want people’s reaction to be, “Whoa, that’s a lot of makeup” - you want them to say, “Wow, you look beautiful”. Within an hour of being home, it had smudged down my face. I couldn’t wait to wash it all off. Whatever products they used even made my skin breakout for 2 weeks after - I've never had that issue before. I was told that my MUAH was one of their best, which made me worry - how bad must the others be then? ! The MUAH artist & office manager were nice people, but the makeup skills were just not there, & my overall experience was very stressful. To summarise: I do not recommend booking with Faye Smith Agency!

Anastasia from Faye Smith Agency did an amazing job with hair and makeup. She reached on time and was really professional. She did the makeup exactly like the picture I shared earlier. I didn't have to worry about anything, she had everything required. All the tools and brushes used were clean and hygienic. The entire team was really helpful and flexible with date change requests (We had to change our elopement plans twice because of the weather condition in Vancouver). Would love to have them for future events.

Fantastic and beautiful service! I have visited twice for hair & makeup for my work's winter holiday party and have been ecstatic with the results every time. It feels like a magical transformation. It is clear that Faye and Alice are expertly trained artists. They were professional, gentle, and very intuitive. They worked with my skin condition in a kind, respectful way. I was most impressed with how they mixed colours exactly the way I wanted them (with minimal prompt). It felt so natural to chat with them and most importantly, it was fun!

After seeing some of the early prints of photos from my wedding, that normally critical voice in my head is completely silent. Not only did my hair and make-up turn out better than I'd envisioned, but Neetu and the Faye Smith Agency actually helped save the day for me. A couple of weeks before the wedding I had a major hair emergency and was in a panic. I emailed Alice the coordinator, who was always quick to reply to all of my communications. But instead I got a speedy reply from Faye herself; it was Thanksgiving weekend and Alice was away. I was surprised and relieved to get a response over the long weekend and Faye was able to squeeze me in for a last minute hair trial at the beautiful Primp & Proper salon before the wedding. Neetu put all my fears to rest and I felt confident going into the big day. I was lucky to get Faye herself to do my big day. Faye was amazing for both my mom and myself for our makeup and hair. She had the best suggestions for our features, and to go with all colours. We learned that Faye helps many others in the make up profession to find jobs and she has so many endeavours she is pursuing at the same time as planning out her own life! Faye has a very good following and I trust she is one of the best to help find your best 'look' and suggestions for your event. Definitely recommend her. Love! Love! Loved working with Faye today! We started the makeup and hair session in her absolutely adorable studio (I wish I took pictures to share!). We decided to start natural and adjust accordingly with the outfits from the maternity shoot. Faye came with me on site and helped keep me looking fresh. Enjoyed having her throughout the entire day. Great energy and great vibes! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have their hair and makeup done. I'll share my look by the time we were done with the shoot but don't judge, I'm not photogenic and I was trying to get my little pooch in the photo without dropping the phone.
