Festal Paleo Cafe

We came in for weekend brunch. The place was completely empty. The server was really nice, accommodating, and helpful and did their best. However, it took very long time for the orders to arrive and they came staggered so by the time the last of us got their food the first was done. Food itself was decent but nothing special.

Sitting here having coffee and cake looking at the kitchen staff shoving their hands in to the food they are preparing and eating! Goof luck to who ever ordered that food! Oh to add to the flavour he keeps scratching his nose!

Ordered the Egg and Chipotle Hash & the Eggs Benny. Meals came out 15 minutes apart when we were the only ones in the restaurant. Eggs & hash were missing the avocado and the celiac that ate the Eggs Benny was sick 2 hours later for the rest of the day. Will avoid in the future.

I have never written any reviews, but this was an awful experience. I went for Keto food and they told me they ran out of pizza and pasta options. The staff recommended sirloin burger, and the keto bum charges you extra 2 dollars. The bums were dry and and meat patty is not even juicy. The food does not worth the price at all. However, the Tiramisu smoothie is really good. In terms of service, I stepped in with no guidance or greetings from the staff or anything, I had no idea how and if I could order standing there. But people came afterwards received friendly service, so maybe I just happened to entered in a busy time. Also, the restaurant is very cold and I had to put on my jacket while eating. I was really disappointed and immediately went to another keto friendly restaurant in dt, which by contrast provides much better services and food options. Highly not recommend this restaurant.

Everything I have tried, is consistently amazing. From the Smoothies to the Butter Chicken, to the desserts it’s all amazing. Defiantly one of the top 2 places in the lower mainland in regards to keto friendly food items.

I tried 4 items on the menu and I absolutely recommend them all!
I asked for extra eggs as usual and they all came out perfect!

The staff was very nice and profess. We will be back for more.

The food comes out as it gets ready in the kitchen so if you are in a large group you might finish your food by the time others get theirs.

Excellent food and service. The staff at this restaurant are particularly helpful and kind. My daughter has many allergies, and they were able to accommodate all of them. The egg and chipotle hash is particularly good.

This place is amazing, the food is scrumptious and the service is top notch! ️ Also Chef Kan makes incredible soup & is super friendly. Eat here! Your tastebuds will thank you!

I have a gluten and dairy allergy, and I try to stay clear of sweets and sugar. This cafe is one of the best in the city at catering to your dietary needs. Friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. Only area they could improve is the aesthetics, it’s cute but not Instagram ready - non optimal if you’re seeking that.

A wonderful place to dine in or even deliver the food. Amazing and healthy food. Very friendly staff.

Unfortunate.

I am Keto so got excited to discover this place just blocks from my office. Got the Caesar in “feast size”, added a chicken breast and got the Keto crouton option. Was basically romaine in a small cardboard box, the $5 breast was maybe 1/4th of a steamed unseasoned breast diced into tiny cubes, and the Keto croûton option was just nothing I guess? Lol. For $23 this was super disappointing. I would probably pay $6-$8 for this. Won’t be back.

Great cafe for anyone following a Keto lifestyle. Enjoyed the breakfast and a few “dessert treat”. A great options for us while visiting Vancouver from Ontario.

100% gluten free! Plus so many healthier alternatives (paleo, keto, grain free, dairy free, vegan etc.). Tasted delicious, the restaurant is beautiful, and many dessert options too (sugar free, yet sooo yummy). One of my favourite spots downtown:)

The butternut lasagna was delicious! It is very pricey though. There were other gluten free baked goods but the price was a deterrent. The lasagna itself tasted great and was gluten free and vegan. Good size. Would go back for it.

Awesome foodie spot for Paleo/Keto/Whole food options! The staff is super friendly as well. I highly recommend the wild sockeye salmon as a protein choice.

Meh.just "meh"

When I first started ordering from here I was amazed.jaw dropping tasty great keto/paleo dishes. Great portions, delivered hot and fresh!

HOWEVER that didn't last.the last few times I tried to order (via Uber Eats) my order got canceled. It was due to there "not being enough drivers". Right, I waited 40 plus minutes for my order, hungry, only to find it was never on its way. I let it go. Until it happened a 2nd or 3rd time and this is when I got irrate.

I understand there's a labour shortage right now affecting the hospitality industry, but when I contacted Festal Paleo Cafe to advise them of these discrepancies I felt they were less than remorseful about the situation and I was left with a very sensitive gen x response of "oh were a small business and with a lack of Uber drivers not picking up wr actually eat the cost of that meal"

I dont need to know your companies politics nor do I care, I'm a hungry returning customer. Have businesses lost their sense of customer service? I should have been offered a discount, some sort of perk etc.to entice me to come back! Its not my fault you work with Uber eats and they didn't show up, gain my attention again by sweetening the honey pot!

Anyways aside from that negative experience I ordered again today and the quality was in the dumps.

Burnt small portion of keto bread, the alfredo was cold and portion diminished.

Anyways, won't be ordering from here again.

Being GF and DF, it feels so nice to have found a place like this! I have tried their Chicken sandwich and it tasted really good! But I can’t give this a high rating cuz I just didn’t feel welcome, the service really needs improvement.

Not a fan.

I took a friend out to lunch and was pretty disappointed.

I asked the man taking orders what he’d recommend for a large and filling meal. He recommended the butter chicken, which I got with cauliflower rice.

The butter chicken sauce was very thin, with a few pieces of over-cooked chicken in a *ton* of the sauce.

Cauliflower rice tasted raw.

$17 for this?

Not only was the quality poor, but I’m not filled at all. Had to get another lunch after… won’t be back here again.
