Just got my hair done here and it was absolutely amazing! Kenzie did such a good job, and made me feel super comfortable in spite of my social awkwardness <3 She payed such awesome attention to detail and had me feeling like a whole new person afterwards!

I love Filomena Salon! The space is beautiful and clean and the vibe is great. All of the stylists are super welcoming and friendly. Joy has been doing my hair for several years and she knows her stuff! She is very open to ideas but also honest and creative. I love catching up with her at all my appointments. Would highly recommend if you want a fantastic experience in Coquitlam.

I get my hair done at Filomena Spa with Joy! She is incredibly talented and experienced stylist. She always goes above and beyond to make sure my hair is perfect. She is also the most pleasant to chat with. Usually I am in her chair for a solid 3hrs so having someone that is easy to talk to and friendly and caring is so important.

My first time for balayage and Kim did an amazing service! By just our first consultation meeting, I already felt that she will do an excellent job- and true enough, I love the result- THANK YOU, KIM, you worked SO hard on my hair!

I have visited Maddy twice now at Filomena Salon for adding blonde to my hair and highly recommend booking an appointment with her! Maddy is extremely talented and super friendly/easy to talk to! I am always amazed with Maddy’s work and ability to blend my natural brown hair with the dyed blonde!

I absolutely loved the service and results provided by Micah. I went in to see her and my hair was truly all over the place there was an orange band at the bottom with highlights which were all over the place and looked absolutely awful. She was very patient and asked me questions at the beginning to make sure everything would be to my liking. She was super patient throughout the whole process and took the time to make sure I would get exactly what I came in for. I absolutely loved the results and received so many compliments on the nice color. I would totally recommend her she does such a great job with color correcting and definitely knows what she's talking about.

Maddy V is amazing and gives the best head massages ever! I am always happy with her recommendations for my hair and products. She listens to what you want, checks in with you throughout and makes it come to life. She is also extremely sweet and easy to talk to. I always leave her chair absolutely in love with my end results. I am looking forward to my future appointments with Maddy!

I've been seeing Shawna for 10 years now- ever since my old hair dresser damaged my hair severely just two days before I was due to fly out for my destination wedding! Shawna spent hours getting it back to the perfect shade and I've been a loyal customer ever since. I get so many compliments and never hesitate to recommend her. She's friendly, welcoming and offers great value too. I'd much rather pay a fair price with Shawna and have a fantastic final look than pay a little less and be unhappy with the results. With Shawna I never have to worry that she "gets it" and will make sure what I'm asking for will work for my hair type, face shape and lifestyle. Thank you Shawna!

Great space, awesome location. Salons can be scary cause girls can be judgy and weird but all the ladies here were so nice and very welcoming. Daphane is an icon, a legend, the whole moment; and she will turn you into the main character you deserve to be. They even let me order food to the salon! 11/10

Always a great experience at Filomena. I always walk out of the salon feeling amazing. Joy is so talented and listens to exactly what I am looking for, I know I can always count on her. I had a balayage with NATASHA and I can't say how much I love my new hair color. Just WOW! I had a virgin long very black hair and wanted to get a bronze/beige balayage. After long time searching I found NATASHA on instagram. She was really honest with me and did'nt promise something that might not be possible in one session! When I met her she was so warm, friendly and welcoming. She listens and clearly understands your expectations. She is so fast and efficient while accurate on the placements. Meticulously checked my hair decoloring process. She finished coloring, cut and styling my long hair less than 5 hours and made such a beautiful transformation without being red or yellowish. I am very pleased with the results and can say she even over delivered what I expected at first, I'll definitely go back to her. Keep on the good work NATASHA:)
Update: I just got another balayage with Natasha again and can’t tell how I LOVE the work she does. Always caring, detail oriented and does her best, she delivered what exactly I had in mind.

My hairstylist was Saira, she is great, very friendly, so kind and a real Pro. I had a great experience with her. My hair was really damaged from a previous experience, I had all the shades of brown on my hair. However, Saira did the magic and turned it to better than I wanted.

I made an appointment through instagram, it took about 4 and a half hours for the transition and the style.

She is definitely a hairstylist who will do a great job and send you back home happy.

And about the salon, it has a great atmosphere, everyone is friendly and kind. I am definitely coming back here for future colouring, trimming and styling.

I had my hair done here twice-darker and then back to lighter balayage. Their stylists are all skilled and easy to book via instagram.

I got my hair done last year by a stylist who i think is no longer working there now. When I said I wanted a low maintenance and subtle style.she did it. She also understood how my curls go when she trimmed it and how she toned down my hair color. It turned out amazing.

Recently, my hair was done by Saira. She told me and explained every step she was doing with my hair. She is also friendly and very passionate about her work. It’s been almost a month and i still like the change she has done with my hair which I never had before.

In the past, I also preferred to leave the salons with damp hair just to save myself from the pain and, the stylist from the struggle when my hair become crazy frizzy and tangled for some reason when they blow dry it in the past. BUT with Saira, she insisted to do the service all the way. It seemed so easy and quick for her to blow dry and style my hair after bleaching. She tamed the frizz and styled it nicely.

Highly recommend this place. You can check and choose a stylist from their instagram like I did. I’m just glad there’s finally a place and stylist who I can come back for service.

Prices are a bit high for colouring, but I always leave happy with my hair. I see Ashley and she does a great job.

I found Samantha to be an extraordinary pleasure to work with! I hadn't done much to my hair in 8 years and Samantha took the time to explain what would look great on me, what was realistic and also what would be low maintenance. She did a great balayage while also blending some of my natural grey (at my request) so that I could stay true to my own hair. I'm so happy with my hair!

I've seen Maddy twice and she's been a great apprentice both times! She takes her time to make sure your leaving exactly how you want it, and has a positive and friendly attitude:)

I booked a last minute same day appointment with Sam over the weekend and I'm so happy she was able to take me in. I've been in a desperate need for a haircut ever since a bad experience with a previous salon. My hair was severely damaged and Sam did an amazing job! I've never had anyone give me a blow out before and have it come out actually smooth. I was mind blown. Because my hair is naturally wavy and frizzy, a hair dryer would've made it puff up immediately but Sam apparently has magic hands because she made me look soooo good! Looks like I found my new go-to salon and stylist!

As a World Beauty Queen my hair is very important to me, and I can confidently say that “the best hair I ever had” is done at Filomena Salon with Tanisha and Shawna. The color is a dream come true, even though I had permanent color and grey hair and brassy ends, Taniesha has managed to make the color and the whole style just as I wanted and I love it sooo much! Not only Taniesha is a great hair expert but Shawna, the manager, has provided me with the best care, customer service, friendliness and professionalism! The whole salon staff is very friendly and pleasant! I strongly recommend Filomena Salon to anyone! And I am definitely coming back for more!:)

If I could give this place 0 star I would. I am appalled with my hair. It is fried, damaged and not at all what I asked for. Terrible stylist. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I really can't even put into words how horrible my experience was.

First time having my hair done at Filomena Salon & Spa. The staff and establishment are friendly and professional. It was an absolute Wonderful experience. I had Full Head Foils, “Cl” blonde, cut and styled. (Pictures show blow dried straight and then curled.) I am extremely thankful for my amazing stylist “Saira” who took the time to quote, listen, answer all my questions honestly and go above & beyond resulting in a very happy client! I have already highly recommended her and Filomena Salon & Spa to others! ️

I wish I could give them a zero start.
1. They don’t communicate properly they got the worse costumer service ever

I do not recommend this hair salon or their hair artists specially Donna she doesn’t even know how to properly use the chemicals she works with all she cares about is the money your going to pay her and not your hair not a honest hair salon at all and their prices don’t match with the service they give you.
Choose this hair salon if you want your hair to fall out right front of your eyes.the owner is there for no reason because she doesn’t “speak” for anyone like why do they even have a owner if she can’t even man up to what they’ve done anyways don’t trust the photos you see on their social media’s they only post half of them. STILL can’t get over how they treat their clients such a garbage place

I recently done a balayage with Joy and she literally transformed my hair! She went above and beyond with my hair goals and was the absolute sweetest to chat with! She is truly talented and I highly recommend her if you are in need of a balayage, styling, or any service really! She makes your dream hair into reality!

Joy Tesch is awesome! She colored my hair and did a fantastic job. I showed her a few pictures of the color I wanted and she achieved it exactly in only one session (and my hair was a mess!) She was friendly, professional, and clearly experienced. Highly recommended!

I saw Nicole today and she took me from my dark brown to a beautiful beige blonde. I am in love with her work! She’s kind, attentive, goes the full mile to make her clients happy and I am so appreciative of her care and work ethic. My hair looks and feels phenomenal and I have received so many compliments. The whole salon has a great vibe and all the gals there are so lovely and nice. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I had the worst experience of my life with them, bunch of scammers don’t waste your money and time here. Manager (owner) doesn’t know how to talk not a honest hair salon at all talked to the manager and she said she can’t do anything and can’t talk for “Donna” still don’t get why they even have a manager if she can’t help and find a solution and make their costumers happy.

Janell is a blonding wizard. Love her techniques and skill, especially if you want balayage or a beachy, lived-in blonde effect. Highly recommend.

Not recommend at all! “Donna” is an unprofessional hair artist that will ruin your hair think twice before going to a independent hair artist and I’m pretty sure this salon is full of them they don’t communicate and they don’t care about damaging your hair not a helpful hair salon at all.

This salon not only has the nicest staff but also the best service. Went in with very streaky and brassy highlights and came out with beautifully blended beige tones in my hair and couldn’t be happier. The junior stylist Nicole is too good! Definitely will be my go to salon from now on️

I have always been treated wonderfully at Filomena, no matter who is working on my hair. I love how the girls support one another too; they refer to one another based on their specific areas of specialty. I have seen Ashtyn to enhance my natural blonde, I have seen Nicole to install hair extensions and I have seen Jessica to bring me back to super blonde (she created the look in the photo posted!) and every one of them has been very sweet throughout the process and has left me with beautiful, shiny and healthy hair. All of them have an eye for detail and go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy with the finished product. I get a ton of compliments on my hair and people always ask me where I go to get it done. If you book with any of these girls, I can assure you that you will be in great hands.
