If I could give this gym negative stars I would. Worst gym experience ever. Stay away from this location.

It's clean and the temperature is good and variety of machines are available, usually you can't find any staff though! And when the cleaning tissues are finished no one will restock them for a long time

The showers supposed to be open at 7 am. But I never really saw it open it, that really annoyed me because i need to go to work after gym. But apparently there are no staff until 8 am.

Big spaces and More machines in compare with downtown but not customer service at all. In the event that same brand should give same service in all branches.

I came to the gym today, but I forgot my card and ID card, I have been registered here for almost a month, My phone number is registered so that they know who I am, But not allowing me to enter, She even threatened me to delete your name here

Wow. Rude and crazy stuff. Today is Monday and at 10: 30 morning I wanted to use hydro massage and after 15 minutes waiting I opened stuff rooms door. She had lessened to music and don’t let me to use massage and go back to room and lucked. I am so sorry for management.

Pretty decent selection of workout equipment. Be sure to bring your own water because there are no water fountains so you either have to buy water or fill up in the bathroom sink.

The person that seems to be the manager is rude, bathrooms are always not stocked or dirty, seems like they are constantly looking for staff (might have to do with management or pay ‍️) and when equipment is broken it is falls on deaf ears

Poor customer service and rude manager. I enrolled for the membership for my daughter and she went to Gym on the same day. She couldn’t enter the gym. We tried one more time on another day and she couldn't get in. So, it supposed some staff be available at the gym the second time and we waited 30 min and nobody showed up. After a few months I found out our membership is active and they were deducting money from my account bi-weekly. I reached out to the manager and explained the situation and she said because my daughter is under 19 she can not use the gym unsupervised. That’s why she couldn’t enter when there is no staff. I asked for a refund and she didn’t accept. Then I asked for freezing my membership officially by email. Again after two weeks, they were deducting the membership fee from my account. So, I reached out again and she said there is no more freezing option! (which was on their website!). I went to the gym and personally talked to her and asked for a refund. She denied. In the end, I asked to cancel my membership as the only option they left for me! However, they deducted another two payments again for the termination! Long story short, I paid around $125 for nothing.

I think they’re understaffed and it shows in the cleanliness. Music is 50/50, need headphones. Has all the equipment needed.

I would give this gym 5 stars, only if they were have a security night shift. Because the gym should be available 24 hours as they said. I had a very bad experience when I decided to enter the gym late.
Firstly I found the mall entrance door is closed and there was a scanner outside designed for gym card, I tried to use it many times to open the door it was giving me green light and door still locked after trying many times. I looked for another way to get in and I found a way through the park area, and unfortunately there is no guild way for that.
Secondly and the most worst situation when I arrived into the gym entrance my card stop working because I used it many times on the mall door.

The question here is
why they put gym scanner at the mall entrance for no reason? !

And why there is no security or any staff if they are opening 24 hours? !

Why I have to figure out the way to entrance and the entrance door is closed? !

I liked the gym as an athlete, but the eployees there are so rude a girl named JOSIE were working the other day there were line of people at front desk while she was chatting in locker rooms. When I asked for her managers email address she did not respond and said it’s not her job and said have a good day! I’m an athlete and I do bodybuilding I have gym memberships all over the town but never had a experience like this. JOSIE eventually canceled my membership for no reason I emailed head office and called them no respond so far. People go to the gym to change their mood and relieve stress but with employees like JOSIE and her attitude towards members it’s not possible. So disappointed!

Today i went to fit4less as usual and there was an incredibly rude and disrespectful women called Josie who was in charge today
She insulted me and left in middle of our conversation and when i tried to ask her something she told me i have too many things to do can’t you see?
Maybe she has mental issues or personal problem in her private life but she gave me bad energy and I couldn’t even work out as good as always!
I talked to other people in the gym and all of them had the same unacceptable experience which is not forgivable!
I hope managers handle this situation and teach her her boundaries

Gets pretty crowded at times and the cement floor and lack of windows gives a very depressing feeling. Bathrooms are very small and bad, would highly recommend going outside if the gym to use the malls bathroom if necessary. Would recommend if you just want a cheap gym membership and don't care much for anything else; however, Fitness World on Lonsdale is far superior in every way.

The gym’s manager offended me, and he threaded me to cancel my membership because I complained about his customer service and the way that he talks because it's so rude and offensive, It was a really good place before the new manager, I wish someone notice him to change his way unless they will lose all their customers

I’ve been waiting for staff for more than 35mins here but nobody.even though it says “staff on site” 7am to 10pm” i called them no one picked up. I came here from burnaby all the way here i was supposed to go work after gym i wasted my time

While I appreciate the variety of machines available, the management of the gym is horrid. No water fountains citing "that's how they keep our membership prices so low" when water in B. C.is free so they'd really only pay the install of a fountain and whatever seldom maintenance it may need.

Second, I tried downgrading my membership and the staff told me I have to cancel and re-join (and pay the joining fee. For a gym I've been a member of for 3 years). When I pushed back on this policy, I received an email reply with no message, just a PDF showing my membership was cancelled, even though I never explicitly asked them to do so.

The gym's management is an absolute joke and they no longer have the cheapest price in the North Shore so they don't even have that excuse going for them anymore.

Worst gym I’ve ever been to, not clean, dust everywhere, washroom always dirty. And you can barely hear a music there and AC is too cold always summer and winter

Used to be clean, but now there is lots of dust everywhere and not being cleaned! Everything else is great though!

Big club, lots of cardio equipment, open 24 hours. Both tanning beds are stand-up so the waits are never too long. Minus a star because there are quite a few inconsiderate guests who don't re-rack their weights or wipe down their equipment, so things can get messy when it's not staffed. Also strange that there is no water fountain to fill up bottles, but not a deal breaker.

This is the worst managed gym ever. I know because I used to work here two years ago. The “showers” (smaller in width than a dog house) barely work. Staff are rarely there in the website’s posted hours. With no notice as to why. They will only put a tiny little sign by the front for when no staff work on holidays. Other than that it is all at fault of the staff. The obvious reason is that they don't want to wake up at 6am for $11/hour. If you are someone who gets up before work to workout and loves to go to work sweaty and smelling bad on several occasions, this is the gym for you! For a low price of $4.99 plus the $44 membership fee, you get to go to the crappiest gym in North America! And the best part, once you sign up, they try to lock you in for a year so you can’t leave!

P. S: creepy old men sleep there overnight and the “bodybuilders” scream louder than the last one night stand you had.

Signed on for a membership in January and since then, I've been consistently pleased with this gym. The owner Sean is great, and staff members are courteous and helpful. Affordable, reliable, parking is accessible, lots of space to move around the gym. A+

Best gym in North Van in my books. Open 24/7 with unlimited parking and all the equipment you would ever need. I hope the gym will stay around after they tear down Cap Mall. Never had any issues since I signed up 2 years ago.

Manager Sean here is very helpful, this gym has plenty of parking and machine to use, there are always much more machine than people there for serious training only as low as $10/month how can one beat that?

Not too sure why there is a kiosk outside the facility when you cannot enter the facility on your first visit until staffed hours. Also unsure why the weekend staffed hours are so poor.
I wont be back after my regrettable 1 year membership is up. Poor practices and policies make for a poor gym. Really disappointed in my choice to go with fit4less

Alway nice and clean. Really cheap for a gym which is probably why there are no classes here. Also there is no water fountain which is surprisingly annoying.

I give 3 stars. 1st star because of the convenience. Its 24 hour accessible. 2nd star goes to the cleaning staff who clean the gym over night. 3rd star goes to the friendly staff. The loss of 2 stars it's because after many complaints about 1 person who uses the gym for his sleeping purposes, nothing has been done about it. The loss of the 2nd star is because the massage chairs and the beds smell, people dont clean it after themselves and it's probably because un hygienic person sleeps there over night.

If you are looking for an affordable 'no frills' fitness facility this is it. Convenient location in Cap Mall. Free underground parking and open 24hrs.

They dont have a water fountain. Its freezing cold. The floors are concrete. The pads on the equipment are too hard. No privacy from people walking by in the mall. Lockers are way too small.

Okay, I guess it’s time to submit my review since I’ve been at this gym for almost a year now.

First, the price is unbeatable. This is the number 1 reason why I find it difficult to leave.

Second, the staff are friendly and helpful, although it seems like the staffing hours could definitely be extended.

Third, the equipment. Okay, the equipment is fairly basic. Yes, there is a lot available but there is also a lot missing. A squat rack would be really fantastic to have and a space to do deadlifts because people lift weights and compound movements are best for muscle growth. The layout of the equipment could be reevaluated as well. Not a big fan of how many cardio machines there are in comparison to the other equipment. Clearly, equipment is one of my biggest concerns about the success of this gym.

Fourth, maintenance of equipment. This goes without saying but people should clean the equipment when they are done using it. This isn’t necessarily the gym’s fault but knowing that there is a surplus of people using the gym that don’t wipe down equipment is quite bothersome.

Fifth, wifi & water fountains. This is a huge complaint for everyone else but isn’t really a big deal. There are taps/sinks that are sufficient for filling up your water. Wifi isn’t really necessary at a gym either. It just promotes sitting and watching/scrolling rather than getting your workout done and leaving. The gym is now a hang out spot.

Sixth and final point, access. Alright, so access to the gym regularly is why we get a membership with a 24/7 spot. That being said, the fact that this location is in a mall, it makes it very difficult to always have it available/accessible. Underground parking is a bonus but if I can’t access it before 7 am then it’s not really a bonus anymore. If the mall requires maintenance, the gym closes early. Why? I don’t really know but it shouldn’t have any relevance to the gym hours.

Overall, this is a great gym, especially for the amount you’re paying. I would like to see more locations open up (like perhaps in Burnaby or West Vancouver). Or to be able to use my black card to get into GoodLife gyms (this would be a huge perk)!

Place is clean and organize. Plenty of room to do your stuff.parking is not a problem and its 24 hrs.
