Terrible customer service. They will try to get as much money out of you without doing anything to provide a better experience, or ensuring you're a satisfied customer. If you're looking for a good gym in Maple Ridge, look elsewhere.

Very good Gym. Large place with a range of options to exercise. Whether you want to do cardio, or do strength training or want to join a group option. Everything is available.

Love the gym! The staff are also amazing! I've only ever used the women's side, but the other options look great also! I recently had been put on bed rest as I'm pregnant and had to pause my account. The admin staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the front staff were super helpful! Can't wait to get back in there.

Bad experience with staff. Disrespectful (I am talking about one particular staff) the gym is good over all but one of the front desk staff mKe u feel unwelcome (FITNESS UNLINITED MAPLE. RIDGE). And when I said this on a comment on Facebook, they removed my comment! So.they Re not fair either!

This is the best gym in Maple Ridge! Great staff, a good variety of classes and well-maintained facility.

Have not kept there end of the contract. Wish they put as much effort into keeping there current members happy as they do trying to recruit new ones. You would think with covid and the current lack of services they wouldn't move forward with charging there members the extra "equipment fee". This gym is way to busy for the minimally available time slots. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Amazing response to the pandemic protocols set in place, everything is consistently cleaned and staff are on their A game!

Started a membership here after a week trial, lots of equipment and it never seems to busy. Everyone is friendly and welcoming who work there!

Very happy with their cleaning and COVID 19 protocols. My bubble is small @ as a healthcare worker I am picky about where I go. I feel comfortable @ safe here.

Went to this gym a few years ago. Have some back pain issues that flared up so couldn't go anymore. Used the gym for about a month after being coerced into signing a long term membership, i believe it was a year. They REFUSED to give me even some of my money back.
Plus the place is dirty.smells so bad in there, never see anyone cleaning anything.just employees and friends chatting at the counter. I guess thats how they make money is from all the clients that cannot use their membership. Needless to say they probably lose lots of clients after the membership expires.

I have strategically bought my place across the street. I love this gym, love the staff. Good job guys!

You can find most of what you need here, the staff are always friendly and never had an issue with it being messy. For the prices you pay I would expect some of the outdated equipment to be replaced or some renovations done but I've seen no effort for improvements.

Very disappointed on this location been going here since 2011 and cleanness has always been a issue in the mens bathroom and now the new thing is that the steam room is turned off between 2-5 am thats the time I usually work out so now i cant take advantage of the steam room anymore and and before that it would always be broken because low maintenance, management should definitely be upgraded, really thinking of putting my money else where.

Rating based on available perks for night time gym goers

I have been a member from January of 2017 up until June of this year. I work afternoons/evenings and wanted a gym that offered late-night hours for the convenience. Will start with the positives:

- 2 locations. Membership allows use at both gyms (Maple Ridge being the only 24 hour 5 days/week location)
- Staff are easy-going. Willing to discuss any questions and re-direct to another staff who may have a better answer.
- 24 hour access between Monday and early Friday AM
- Classes are free with membership
- Very large men's change room (can't speak for the women's side)

Cons:
- Not 24 hours on weekends
- Steam room is shut off for maintenance at 11pm and always seems to need maintenance (always a band-aid solution rather than overhauling the entire thing, inevitable at this point).
- Not all men's showers are operational, most have flies.
- Equipment is rather dated
- Too many creepy dudes and over-inflated egos
- 30 day cancellation policy, regardless of which plan you go with

For my kind of availability, I am unable to take advantage of the "free" classes that are only during the day. By the time I am halfway through my evening workouts, the steam room is shut down until 5-6am. What exactly am I paying for if I am unable to take advantage of these perks? Different plans (no classes/no daycare at a cheaper rate) would make staying here a much easier decision as I'm paying the same rate as everybody else.

I had suffered from TMJ at the start of 2019 and was given doctor's orders not to work out as that would cause more tension in the Temporomandibular joint and prolong the healing period. Talking for any longer than a minute is also quite a stretch (literally). I called in late-January to ask about options for leaving the gym as I'd just be shelling out $105 for 2 months of inactivity. Person on phone essentially said it would cost more for me to cancel my membership and then pay the enrollment fee again.nearly 2 months later I was then stable enough towards the middle of March and began working out again after being cleared by my doctor, trouble-free up until The TMJ came back in the last week of April. Once the nasty lockjaw was dealt with and I could began talking again, I immediately called Fitness Unlimited to cancel. Only then at this point I was told that I could "freeze" my account and then re-activate it without any penalty once I have recovered. Where was this advice before I wasted 105 bucks at the beginning of the year?

I officially withdrew May 27th, even after being told over the phone that because I am on a month-to-month plan, I shouldn't be charged for June. Latest credit card statement revealed that was BS. Went in to confront this and was shut down with the "30 day policy applies to all plans, sorry". All they offered in return even after I expressed disappointment of already throwing away nearly $210 (4 months paid for only 3 gym visits from Jan to June) was to "use the facilities until the end of June". Sure, i'll continue to use an unstable steam room while I piss away another $52.50.

Hoping there will be more 24/7 places appearing that aren't such a wallet-gouger in the upcoming years. Given how many hundreds of members there are, taking such cheap routes to exploit another month's pay from somebody is a very low blow.

I joined this gym just under a month ago so I figured I'd give it time before writing a review. I switched from golds due to the distance and I will definitely be switching back when the maple ridge location opens up. This gym is old, out of date, dirty, and has missing/broken equipment. Not once have I ever seen an employee clean anything, nor do I see clients wiping their machines down after use so if you want a clean space you better be prepared to do it yourself. The machines in the facility are out of date, the womens section does not even have a stair climber. The womens section is also missing the lighter weights and I've let staff know a few times yet still no changes. I also have the tanning added to my membership and having experience working in the tanning industry I am pretty sure they rarely change their bulbs. To me it looks like the owners of this place haven't been there in years. For almost 60 a month, this gym needs to be updated.

3 months of suntanning for $30. Jan and I, both members already, are taking this deal. Paid this morning. This afternoon, I hit the bed. Mmmmmm! 12 minutes of warmth. Very clean and sanitized bed, and very friendly staff. I'm a pretty happy guy. And the gym has everything you could imagine!
Bob.
