FixMac is an excellent computer repair shop, with expert and polite service. I first visited Fixmac after I dropped my Mac laptop and the hard drive crashed badly. I found FixMac online and saw the great reviews. I talked to Jack on the phone and brought my computer into the shop that day. My Mac was all fixed a couple days later. Jack saved the day and I've been bringing my Macs here for expert affordable service and advice ever since. Highly recommend.

Fixed my mac with water damage for 1/4 of what apple store has quoted me, and most important thing is Jack got all my data back.
Highly recommend to everyone with mac problems.
Plus what is the matter with those negative reviews, they do not look like they are referring the right business.

I spilled coffee on my HP Omen laptop. After letting it dry, I took it to Fixmac to check if any internal damage was done. He took a look and assured me that no components were affected by the spillage. He hasn't charged me. Will come back for anything computer related!

I thought my mac had completely bit the dust and that the files had been lost - and this place was able to get it all back for me at an extremely reasonable price, and they were very professional and excellent to deal with. If you've got a mac problem I cannot recommend them enough

Nothing but great service. Not rude at all. He just tells it how it is and some customers can't handle that.

My Macbook Pro 2015 went into a Boot Loop and I freaked out as it is my personal laptop with all my data. I dropped by FIXMAC when it opened and Jack was so quick at having ideas what was going on as it was a common problem he has seen. I left the computer and as I was driving home and Jack called with a quote and the issue. Swollen battery. I got it fixed by the afternoon. So happy I didn't go to Apple and end up buying a new computer. Swollen Batteries replaced and chipset damaged and replaced. Cost was I am sure would be less than Apple. Go here for all MAC issues

Highly Recommend! Jack provides great customer service and excellent work at a very reasonable price! Way better than going to the apple store downtown. And unlike many other stores, Jack actually picks up the phone and is easy to reach!

Was able to have my macbook pro retina from 2012 motherboard replaced for a fraction of the cost apple would charge me of they had the parts. Way better customer service, no lines and no extra fees.

If you have a problem with your Mac, this is the place to get it fixed. I was looking for someone to help me with my hard drive. They quickly identify the problem, suggested a service and said it would be ready for pick up the next day. Great value for money. Jack & Fixmac are the place to trust with your repairs.

Great service and price, very easy to communicate with, the person there is very friendly and knowledgeable, I got all my questions answered over the phone and a ballpark price that way less than other places, dropped off after the phone call and Mac was fixed within 3 day and for the exact price as the phone conversation. Just call them for your mac repairs, you have nothing to lose.

Exceptional service, Jack was very friendly and knowledgeable. Cost of the repair seemed very reasonable and I was even offered a more affordable option. I walked out with a smile on my face in a better mood than when I walked in. This is my 2nd great experience here!

This guy is absolutely amazing! My 2018 MacBook Pro died five months out of warranty. Took it to the ‘Genius Bar’, they quoted me over $900 to replace the board (and lose all my data). I asked them why the board failed, all I got was condescension and ‘I don’t know’. Jack not only managed to find the problem, he managed to fix it without replacing the logic board. And he did with a friendly demeanour and no attitude. I would give him 10 stars if I could. MacBook out of warranty? Don’t bother going to the ‘Genius Bar’, go see Jack instead.

I am writing this review from my newly repaired laptop! My computer had water spilled on it and would not turn on. My partner took it in to get looked at and the initial assessment was no cost. The shop is very unassuming but I'm so happy with the service! The repair cost was very transparent before any work on the lap top was initiated. The cost itself was also more than reasonable and the repair was completed in a very timely manner! Would definitely recommend! And will refer friends and family.

I called this place today. They answered “hello” as though they aren’t an actual business. Very unprofessional.
When I described my computer problem that needs expert repair this person not only had nothing to say but actually asked me if I “knew what was wrong with it”.
I’m stunned. Awful experience. I wouldn’t let this person fix a Fisher-Price toy computer.

I found fixmac.ca through Google as I quickly tried to dry out my water damaged MacBook Pro. Jack was able to see to it straight away, gave me plenty of options and had great communication with me once I left it with him. The laptop was badly water damaged, but Jack was able to bring it back from the dead!

Jack was awesome! He fixed a Mac laptop for a fraction of what someone else said it would cost. He also fixed an old PC that others told me to just buy a new one. I love not throwing out things if they can be fixed! He also had it all done in 2 days!

If you have any issue with your mac, this is the right place. I got quoted $700 from local repair shop but I needed to pay less than half of that in fixmac to get it fixed. Jack is very professional, knowledgable and responsive. Thank you for your help on my mbp, Jack!

The man who runs this business is absolutely one of the nicest and most genuine business owners around, he also works like magic and repaired my device in less than a day!

My laptop was experiencing significant issues and FixMac had it running great in a few days for a good price. The owner replies to emails and phone calls very fast, super easy to communicate. Would recommend to anyone who needs their Mac fixed.

They were SO good to me here! Many other computer repair stores would rip you off; not here. Jack tells things like it is, and is very honest. I would recommend everyone who needs mac repair to go here.

Hands down the best Mac repair place. Don't waste your time with the Apple Store Genius Bar again. He actually saved our hard drive after the "Geniuses" made the issue worse. Will never take our Mac anywhere else.

Just had the HD in my iMac replaced with an SSD. They had it done in 24 hrs! Price was as competitive as anyone else in the city. Great experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend. (Just don't expect a shiny, fancy Apple Store experience.)

I had been frustrated with my iMac since i had purchased it. The original iMac was so slow I returned it for another, thinking there was a problem with the computer. The second iMac was just about the same. After many calls to Apple Support, I finally gave up and just accepted the slow speed. Fast forward 3 years and enough was enough. Looking for a solution I found FixMac in Vancouver. One telephone call was all it took and less than 24 hours my iMac was fixed. It seems - and a problem Fixmac identified over the telephone was - the hard drive was not the best one for the computer. A swap out for a new solid state hard drive and my IMac is fast, fast, fast. FixMac was the first place to identify the problem, I got a price up front which was several hundred dollars less than Apple and now I have a perfect iMac. Thanks FixMac - you know your stuff and are not expensive either.

They truly delivered exceptional customer service. My 2015 MacBook Air was displaying a black screen after only having it for one year (purchased in 2017, then took it to Apple Store in 2018). I took it to the Apple Store they had swiftly diagnosed it. I needed an LCD replacement, which was odd because I'm pretty careful when it comes to my devices and when I had questioned the Genius Bar representative, he had said, "It just happens sometimes. " I asked him how much an LCD replacement was and he had told me, "You might want to think about this but its going to be $700. " I luckily had my iPad as a second device. 2 years later, I finally took it to get it fixed, and when the representatives at FixMac looked at it, it turns out there was water damage to my MacBook! They had called me shortly after to let me know that it might not be salvageable given that the water damage might have leaked into the LCD, but they will see what they can do. Turns out the LCD was fine and they had fixed the problem with a motherboard replacement/ repair. I would like to thank them so much for providing stellar customer service that Apple fails to do. Jack is an absolute dream! Logic board and Sd card reader repaired in short days for a FRACTION of what Apple wanted. Plus, the follow-up service for things I thought were major that popped up, Jack fixed in hours for what seems like “pennies on the dollar”.

Great service, great communication, speedy, and a bit cheaper than anywhere else. Other stores charge around $40 for a three month warranty while they guarantee their work for free. Also, they will diagnose your computer without charge. I don’t know of anywhere else that will do this.

So I took my MacBook to apple store thinking I had AppleCare Plus, only to find out the apple care I bought was only an extension to manufacture warranty. About $400 dollars down the drain now. Whole other story.
I needed screen repair - dropped it. Apple wanted nearly 1k before taxes to repair. More than half the price of a 2016 MacBook Pro!
Searched around for Mac repair shops and came across Jack and his high review ratings.
I wasn’t disappointed and understood why the high rated reviews, as Jack gave me a fair price for OEM part and quick turnaround. A few hundred cheaper than apple and days quicker.
Unless you paid big bucks for AppleCare plus, please go to Jack @ fixmac for your MacBook or PC repair needs, he and his crew will take care of you quickly and without ripping you off!

Spilt a bit of tea by accident on my macbook pro and was worried that it might cause damage so I called Jack and he suggested I bring it in to see if there was any corrosion. He was super quick, opened up the back to fortunately find no damage, didn’t take more than a few minutes. Very kind and honest service. Highly recommended, he was triaging other issues while we were there and could tell he treats his customers very respectfully.

The owner was great (guessing owner). Fixed my Mac lap top keyboard quickly. Decent price too. He was also very friendly too. Highly recommend for your Apple needs

I had a water damaged 2012 MacBook Pro retina that I thought would never live again. I decided I would give this store a try after all the positive reviews. Let me tell you first hand that they were right.

Jack was able to take my mac, diagnosis (for free) and give me a very reasonable price to fix it. What is great is that he kept my mac for several days to ensure it was working as it should so I wouldn't get it home and wonder if it would die again. He did not guarantee it could be fixed but stated he would do his best and even said if he can't get it to work he would not charge me for anything. After the fix, he advised me he warranties his work and to monitor it if any issues come up.

I definitely recommend this place to anyone with mac issues.

The fan on my MBP started making an awful noise when it ran, so I took it to the genius bar at apple. They told me it would be $170 and 2-3 days to fix.

I called up this guy and he gave me a quote immediately for $78. Two hours. Sure, I was a little skeptical but luckily I took my computer to him. He was polite, friendly and after completing the repair on time and on budget he showed me what was wrong on my old part.
